Nearly fell off ma seat last night, Barkas made a save, but seriously hope he kicks on and shows why we laid out the big bucks.

I hope we see the 'real' Barkas next season when he's able to get his family over and is far more settled in Scotland.

Guys I am willing to give Barkas the benefit of the doubt, he moved to a new country during this CV crisis and had to endure clowns like Lennon and Kennedy coaching him, next season with a half decent coach watch him kick on.

There is obviously a player there. Sadly we want instant success at Celtic and players don’t get a chance. They’ll have been working away in the background integrating him into the side.

The mistakes he made had nothing to do with new country culture language C.V. etc . they where just poor goalkeeping . whether that's his best or worst remains to be seen . how many are confident that he will perform straight out the traps next season? Do we get pumped in Europe and have a poor start in league before buying a new keeper or buy one close season.? big decision for new manager.

He came in and didn't have crowd pressure, not sure what cv has to with making saves basic ones at that, but as av said I hope he kicks on,

@drb and Mally it takes some players time to settle in a new country and style of football, biggest example was Henrik look at the poor start he made.
Barkas lost confidence and then both Lennon and Kennedy threw him under the bus to hide their own failings, I think we will see a completely different and more confident Barkas under a good footballing coach be it Howe, Le Favre or whoever.

Granted he made some howlers but what about defence? Laxalt caused some amount of goals from poor defending, Duffy was woeful, Ajer is not a CB and can't handle high balls, Biton not a CB and Julien injured.

I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt because there was quite a few times he was hung out to dry by poor defensive decisions.
