Anyone think young KT will be sitting tonite thinking did i make the right move to the right club! I said no at the time and I still feel the same! Wrong club at the wrong time! Hope he doesn’t stall down there!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Dec 2019 06:22:36
Possibly. He's possibly also thinking that he has to work hard and do what it takes to make the step up. Arsenal, by previous standards, aren't in great shape on or off the pitch but if he had plans to reach the top then it's not a move to turn down.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 06:23:24
He will definitely wish he was playing in the cup final on Sunday and then leading the celebration party afterwards.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 07:03:32
Not fussed what Tierney thinks but I know Lawell has secured his big bonus of the back of the boy.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 07:47:25
What if the next manager does not like him, What if he does not rediscover the speed and skill he once had. What if the injury was worse than we all thought.
He may come home in a few years just like Fraser and possibly Victor and Stuart.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 07:59:21
No. I think he will still be thinking that he will just be patient and he was force his way in.
His class will come through.
As for wrong club, I don't think that's right either.
Even though they are struggling at the moment the gunners are still a massive team and traditionally play a style of football that suits KT.
We heard same stuff about VVD and he used Southampton as a stepping stone to the very top, I expect KT to do the same with the gunners.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 08:44:23
Who cares about how Kieran’s feeling now all things Celtic I care about not how former players feel .

Agree4 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 10:01:44
I agree with Kev, I believe he is a class above, and once he has a run in their side one of the really big boys will come in for him. I thought that he would go directly from us to Real, Barca, Bayern, etc.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 10:35:17
well said duff if they don't play for celtic, celtic reserves, celtic academy who cares. Celtic were good to him 25 million transfer fee everybody happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 11:45:34
Jonace armstrong wouldn't get in the team the now, why would we want him back.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 14:10:23
If he's on £50.0000 grand a week he can console himself in that as it was a move for money but suppose he is quite right not a long carear do got to think if himself first same as us.
But now he can go and FUXX himself 😜😜😜😜.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 17:00:53
Armstrong would most certainly improve the squad.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 17:34:27
armstrong not for me kev.
we have improved bigtime in that area.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 20:06:50
Big Hearts striker Ipeazu is suspended against Celtic in our game in hand.
He was booked against Sevco on Sunday and that has triggered a suspension.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 21:03:24
He’s a donkey anyway.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 08:00:20
He may be a donkey but he's is a handful for any CB and it's better for us he's out.

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 19:53:29
Dont know if anyone else has noticed this but we have 6 league games till the Glasgow derby clash and they have 5 so if results go our way we could be 8 points clear gong into the winter break although they will have a game in hand just saying.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 20:05:39
We have 5 league games including the Glasgow Derby!, they have 4 including the Glasgow derby. unless I’m missing something? .

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 20:09:06
We could be 8 clear, we could also be 4 clear or 5 clear, or 12 clear ect.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 19:02:00
Ed any idea why we play Hearts on 18th December when there don't appear to be any other SPL fixtures that night?

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - It's rearranged from the Betfred semis weekend mate.}

05 Dec 2019 18:52:52
What a goal from Broon one of the greatest ever Celtic captains. Captain, Leader and Legend. Is he our most gifted ever captain from a footballing perspective? Probably not. But how do we replace him? Even nearing the end of his career there's nobody in the team can do what he does. He has the balls of a rhino. That was a leaders goal last night and an absolute hun sickener tae boot.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 19:03:06
It’s not just the goal it’s who got it that skunnered them some might laugh here but a think he could get on the score sheet Sunday wee sneaky feeling lol you heard it here first.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 19:03:14
Most gifted no but has the guile to put him up there. Mcstay was a far better player.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 19:16:11
There has not been a Celtic team since he retired that Paul McStay would not have got into including the current team. Asked recently after making that statement which current midfielder I’d drop to play him my answer was any one of them.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 21:05:27
He really was the perfect all round midfielder mcstay.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 22:07:42
Good point JFP! our midfield is doing great and broony McGregor especially have been immense! But none of them could lace the maestros boots! Mcstay would get into any Celtic team past present or future!

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 07:37:06
fitting in to the team is fine and I agree he would not be out of place in any Celtic Team. But, the Lisbon Lions - while he would be a fit, he would have to wait until one of them was out. He would not automatically be first choice above those players imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 18:26:02
Broony's last minute winner, coupled with their 2-2 draw has opened up a 2 point gap, also in December we play an extra league game, if Celtic win all December league games we will be a mimimum 8 points clear if Sevco win most of their games prior to Celtic Park.
We have a big chance to destroy their fragile confidence by winning on Sunday, because last night's last gasp winner has already deflated them, my ex bears thought sevco had got out of jail, UNTIL Broony stepped forward.
So once again the "neutral" SPFL fixture computer could work in our favour AGAIN hail hail.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 19:01:31
Counting last night Sevco had 5 league games before the winter break, all against teams in the top 6.Already they have dropped points and I expect Celtic's lead at the top to go into double figures for the winter break and then that will be the last we will see Slippy, who will know he is fighting a losing battle.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 19:43:43
Slippy G will disappear quicker than DUP support for the Tory’s given that both are on a hiding to nothing and ultimate failure is their only end game. Just saying. ☘️.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 17:09:32
Big Forsters save was a beauty and did you see him running the length of the pitch to join the celebrations of Browns goal? Hope we get him on a permanent contract this summer.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 18:02:18
I was just talking to my mates about player of the year so far, brown, christie, forrest or forster. Early doors for this I know but who would u go for the now.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 18:56:45
It’s so hard to pick forrest broony or Christie 😂😂 some head ache to have tho.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 22:32:19
I didn't see the game, were we unlucky,?, did we play fast imaginative, creative, entertaining football,?, or were we slow of thought and build up, were we lacking creativity and guile in midfield?, would 1-1 have been a fair result?, but Broony gets the winner and becomes the hero again, but if he hadn't been playing and a more mobile, more creative midfielder was in his place, the whole team might have been lifted and there wouldn't have been any need for an stoppage time winner, anyway, we will never know.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 18:53:08
Atm has to be Christie, but I think if Edouard stays fit he will get it. We need to sign Forster 100% he should Be our no1 transfer target for a permanent deal! A blind man could see he loves our club and I bet he regrets ever moving to the epl again. He is the Great Wall of Glasgow.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 15:21:05
To all the posters who continue to believe the refs are against us 😂😂please explain the stone Waller of a penalty they never got last night by a ref who drinks with the supporters every week? Maybe after this incident you'll give most of us on here some peace 👍.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 15:40:24
When was the last time a referee apologised to Celtic for causing us points?

Agree8 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 15:47:59
Exactly what I was thinking leon, couldn't believe that when I seen it this morning.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 16:20:59
Anyone who thinks there are no bias refs must be smoking crack.

I don't believe every ref is bias, some like colum are just shockingly poor refs but there are several that are bias and can't even disguise it.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 16:21:32
Steph, at least he could see it was a foul. The 2 penalty incidents against Hibs, the referee waved play on, nothing to see here and it cost us points. No Apology, then again Lenny isn't Slippy.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 16:22:59
@Jazz, are you a ref mate.

Agree3 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 16:23:20
You seen any public apologies for any other teams?

Agree5 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 17:26:26
Sure wee got a double apology the Hibs game when wee had two penalties and dropped two points and it was nice of the ref to appologise for giving four penalties for the new co 3 of which weren’t penalties .

Agree2 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 17:39:25
To be fair he didn't make a public apology.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 18:51:35
Leon Clancy isn't biased just inept.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 15:15:53
I only saw highlights of last nights game, but after watching the previous few I feel Greg Taylor is our best left back ( ahead of Boli) . I feel Boli is good going forward but he leaves loads of space in behind him and better teams will look to break into that space. Defensively I feel Taylor is ahead of him. What’s everyone else’s take on this?

Believable3 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 16:18:41
All depends on who we are playing to be honest Quinn. If it's a game where we are going to be on the front foot most of it then boli is your man but if we need to be solid and disciplined then its taylor.
But you've also got to remember that with boli in the team we had a great defensive record as well.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 16:24:46
Eachy peachy for me. Both have their attributes much like our RB situation. Good to have options/ cover.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 18:59:15
Two different types of left back let them fight it out win win for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 14:02:08
I know a few will say “ he’s at the long end of a que” but when Broony retires does he deserve a “ statue “ or some sort of accolade to mark just what a player / leader / legend he has been for Celtic?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 14:17:45
Yes, especially when we get 10!

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 15:17:22
Am not to sure about that to be honest.
I think the only other statue should be Fergus McCann.

Think something should be done but not a statue.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 16:26:08
Fergus doesn't want one but think it will eventually happen. Broony probably does!

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 18:05:43
I don't think he'll get a statue, but it would be a belter if he did, doing the broonie obviously.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 19:01:02
No statue men where do u stop mcstay etc broony is a total legend but statues are for the holy grail.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 13:03:10
I have just watched the two goals by Ross Stewart. He reminds me of a young Chris Sutton.
On another subject the team for Cluj how about
Gordon

Bauer Hendry/ Simunovic El Hamed Boli {if fit}
Bitton Kouassi

Shved Rogic Sinclair

Griffiths
Subs a selection of youth and players who can't get a game

This way we rest our best players and even if we lose Cluj would be a easier team to beat than Lazio should we meet them later in the compition.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 14:19:51
Simo and Koussi are injured. Hendry and Shved are nowhere near 1st team and would get found out massively. Glad your not the manager 🤣.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 15:00:13
Nowhere near the first team, probably true for Hendry, but Shved would probably slot right in, just like Morgan, who was another that was nowhere near the first team, not good enough to wear the hoops, etc, etc.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 15:19:11
Hasn't shevd already got a goal in Europe chinks?

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 16:28:17
He got loads Kev, that's where he came from. If he was good enough he would make the bench but that he doesn't tells u all u need to know.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 16:52:49
Or it means it takes time to settle in a new country and culture and to learn the language.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 11:26:53
It's fast nearing the time when we will have to replace Scott Brown. We will have to look for someone who is a leader on and off the park. Can play as a defensive midfielder and as a box to box one. Could probably play in goals too if you asked him. Inspires all around him and is gritty and determined. Where do you find such a player and at a price range affordable to us.
Would love to be able to turn the clock back and buy the young Brown where we could experience his time with us all over again. ⚽️😊.

Believable3 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 12:01:09
Broony has got better with age he's got a few years left yet. He has also not let himself go and pushed his body hard. It's a myth at 30.40.50 or even 60 you can still be in amazing shape. As long as you do not stop caring about youself.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 12:52:07
Yet some on here don't fancy him the mans a legend.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 13:31:52
I agree it's time to start looking for a replacement long term to do his particular role. But I recon we have another 2 years before age will be against him. The keys to recognise someone early, before it's to late.

I hear what Andy saying, and I get he's into fitness, but unfortunately it isn't a myth. Players don't ever keep there match fitness and recovery times well into their late 30s and 40s, especially at that level. I think we should enjoy the next few years with him whilst identifying an adequate replacement.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 14:40:56
@4leafclover

Maldini sheringham Strachan R milla giggs
Zanetti, Kazuyoshi Miura. Kenny miller
These are just a few there are many more.
Gd managers sport psychologists motivators he has the right people behind him. Who will sort all this out.
I'm not saying every person can do this I'm saying broony can do this as he's made of stronger stuff and he wants to unlike rogic and a few others.
How many games has broony missed this season and last season etc due to not being fit. He has missed none.
Other than injuries his recovery rate is gd.
He's never on the injury bench never sick
The point I'm making is broony is one of these guys who looks after himself does the right things eats the right food etc etc.
It's old an fashioned way of thinking that
footballer is over the hill at 30 I'm not saying you are old fashioned tho 😜😜
if this is the case then the footballer are
1, injury prone
2, lifestyle his choices drink drugs smocking
3, the persons who give him advice on health and fitnesd
4 personal motivation and attitude
5 total believe in his ability.
We are in charge of our own bodies it's what we do with it thatvtuins it and hereditary. To stay at the top you need to look after it and treat it gd.
Broony does bug me when he passes the ball back to much or puts it to the side but all the Celtic team say broony is the fittest player at training these type of personalities don't come around much it all depends on what he want to do.
The same goes for us but hopefully our thoughts don't stop us first.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 14:55:04
Name the north stand after him! Scott broon living legend lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 15:01:43
I think it was Ronnie that turned his career around.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 18:20:34
A lot of the players you mentioned, it was there quality they had that got them through.

Miller was done for quite some time.

I agree it's how you take care of your body that gives you longer time. But biologically the body's mechanical function gives way under wear and tear. The muscles take longer to recover, yes when they've recovered hell be good but he will need more rest time (hense the retirement from the national team) . I love him as a player, his aggression, his control of the game, he is one of the strongest players on the park. A range of passing and ability to break up attacks and at the same time create or control them. But I really recon 2 seasons and we'll see things slow right down. We need a ready made replacement at least 6 months before that happens.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 20:23:58
#4leafcliver
Who would you think could fill his shoes be gd for him to show that player the way it is young calmac the man to take the reigns.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 08:05:44
Yeah that's what I mean Andy someone waiting in the last year to 6 months to take over. Calmac, is a fantastic player, but offers a completely different type of game to brown. Realistically I don't know, McGinn offered similar dynamics box to box and had more aggressive style, even if he was more offensive than brown, but that could of been adapted (like browns game) . I'd hope our scouting network is on it.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Dec 2019 11:52:28
Mcginn, there's a name I've not read for a while 😂😂.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 11:20:58
I think if there's any chance Eddy can make Sunday, he'll be in the team. Elyounoussi on the other hand in not too sure. MJ is on fire atm so it's a tough call. Do you try and get an hour out of Moi and then replace him with MJ who's on fire and brimming with confidence, or do you play MJ from the start, knowing that you've got Moi who can come on and make the difference?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 11:27:31
Elynoussi starts for me.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 11:31:06
I think that if Edouard does play then we need to be sure that everybody else is 100% fit. We can't risk carrying any passengers.
Sevco started their match last night with a lot of pace, we need to be ready for that and counter it with pace and movement of our own.

Agree1 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 15:21:54
Elynoussi starts well before MJ if fit. MJ coming off the bench has been magic recently and I'd keep him for impact when they are tiring.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 10:34:39
If all the shots on goal went in it was eight one they rode there luck we ripped them to shreds greg Taylor was brilliant he was causing them all sorts trouble looks the part fitted in really well he enjoying his chance very quick good signing.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

05 Dec 2019 13:10:04
I loved Taylor's reaction to Brown's goal. He was going mental.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Dec 2019 15:24:42
If all the shots on goal went in the game would have finished 22 - 9

Hamilton had the same amount of shots on target as we did.

This is exactly how leagues are won.
Difference between men and boys.
Broony’s example (s) are teaching his team how to win.
Anyone who thinks it is a race with no points being dropped and goal difference being the decisive factor this early clearly hasn’t played or followed football with any level of attention.

If we win our last 5 league games of the year, Celtic will go into the winter break at least 8 points clear. In that time Sevco are away to Motherwell and Hibs, so that will probably stretch the points to double figures.
Although we will have played one game more.
