I'm not worried about this transfer window because it's the same every year.
Celtic have already brought in several new players and also shifted out loads of our fringe players.
Not all clubs are managing to move on unwanted players.
I believe the best is still to come in the next 25 days or so.
Celtic will bring in good talented players to make us a stronger team and squad.
Although I'm not worried about,
I still don't like our transfer policy of constant last minute arrivals.
It would obviously be better to spend the decent transfer fees and get these players in before the season starts.
It's also unfair on these new signings having extra pressure put on them, having to hit the ground running in their first match at Ibrox ETC.

Lads, my surname has 11 letters in it. Celtic called me and asked if I'd be interested in being their 'big name'signing. I agreed. So you've a 65 year old with a gut akin to a pregnant duck signing. Sorry to burst yer bubble guys ??.

Here’s a scenario to ponder and raise the blood pressure - just for a hoot - we sign nobody - (I actually don’t think we’ll get another striker as I’ve said - Yamada is the boards idea of a first choice striker I fear - even if he couldn’t get off the bench on Sunday when we were chasing a goal - and is our whack - or who we do sign doesn’t cut the mustard (yet again) - we don’t quality for CL and the Bowler Hatted Baddies do - it isn’t out the question - what’s the fallout?
Never usually comment on them but Asda keep an eye on Morrisons and we’ve no Celtic signings to discuss with 8 days to go before a qualifier hard as that is to believe - and I’m needing counselling. Gassama and Antman were impressive last night and apparently Micky Moore is to follow - they are better than Tilio and Yang - It will be interesting to see if we sign any better.
A dereliction of duty on the boards part once again.
Cue the ‘Trust the Process’ brigade.

My BIG worry is that mob qualify for CL and we don't and it Could happen.
06 Aug 2025 12:23:45
The mood of the support and the 'signals' emanating from the manager makes me less than optimistic at this time.
Another niggling thought is the historical habit of us shooting ourselves in the foot and throwing away our advantage.
It has happened before and more recently when we were going for ten in a row and ended up imploding.
As we saw on Sunday, the team/ squad is down to the bare bones with only Jota out of the picture, and to be brutally honest, no tears would be shed if one or two of them weren't there.
There is still time, but the situation is far from ideal and the belief in the Board is wobbling.

Inamura and osmand never made the bench and they're supposed to be new signings yamada never got on preferring Kenny who probably ain't good enough says it all really, and don't get me started on yang.
06 Aug 2025 16:50:20
I'm surprised Yamada never got any game time!
06 Aug 2025 16:57:02
Sugar coat it all you want.
It’s a bad sign that Shin didn’t get on ahead of Kenny especially when we were desperate for a goal.
Shin only made his Japanese debut during the summer holidays, when their International footballers playing their trade in Europe were having a break.

Jfp are antman etc better than james Forrest?
06 Aug 2025 19:00:36
I did notice that Antman played the full 90 minutes regularly for his old club and he played 85 minutes last night at short notice.
Most wingers usually get rotated and don’t play as many minutes as defenders ETC.
06 Aug 2025 19:01:23
Mikey Moore is a quality player for his age.
Gassama was a PSG youth player with a decent pedigree.
Antman we have yet to see.
The business they have done so far seems better than before mainly hitting the English market that there manager knows well.
They were playing a crap Plzen side.
The fear I have is they were better than us overall in the derbies last season. If these players are better than what they had how does that bode for us?

Dc
Couldn’t tell you but James Forrest is 34 and good for 60 minutes - and he’s definitely better than Tilio and Yang.
Gassama looks a player and Moore may be young and a tad lightweight but he’s a talent.
06 Aug 2025 19:26:51
Yang is better at 23 than forrest was at 23. Can you tell me how good yamada is compared to sevcos strikers.
06 Aug 2025 19:28:14
I watched that game too and was also impressed by the those two players. The most interesting thing about that match was the unusual sound - did anyone else hear the sound of that mob clapping with the backs of their hands?
06 Aug 2025 19:49:42
Antman certainly doesn't need any coaching on how to dive, that's for sure. Our intrepid whistlers are going to love him.
06 Aug 2025 20:24:59
If that mob qualify and we don't DD and the rest best be watching at what comes there way. forget the tifo about falling asleep at the wheel. if we were to lose that 40 million being banded around. it would hit the fan.

Trusty, Engels, McCowan, Yamada all benched on Sunday. Nearly £22m of BR's signings sitting on the bench, one of which is our record signing! BR signs a Man City player on loan which further pushes Trusty ( his £6m signing) down the pecking order? All this nonsense of BR not being backed is in people's head.
06 Aug 2025 21:11:29
Scoop
That would be a game changer.

Yang has never been as good as Forrest at any age.
James took us into the CL groups with an injury time aggregate winner against Karagandy a couple of weeks after turning 22 years old.
Yang has played 66 times for Celtic and his stats are shocking.
Yang has scored at total of 7 goals.
5 of his goals are when Celtic also scored 5 goals in those games.
1 goal when Celtic scored 6 against Aberdeen.
And 1 crucial goal in a 3-3 draw with Dundee.
Yang also only has One crucial assist to his name in all those games and it was a fluke.
He took a swipe and missed against Bayern Munich but the little nick went to Maeda who scored.
07 Aug 2025 07:37:56
Go back an watch forrest at 23 buzz. I take it in your opion dessers is better than kyogo? Or do you only use stats when it suits?
07 Aug 2025 08:18:32
Jfp my original response wasnt posted i think it was a bit too harsh but is Yamada better than any sevco striker?
07 Aug 2025 07:36:29
Jfp.
Sorry you are struggling to read basic English. Can you tell me if yamada ( our new Japanese striker) is better than any sevco ( rangers died in 2012 and reincarnated as sevco) striker.

I think BR showed a glimpse of why is an elite manager, best in Scotland, the only one who has come near in the last 20 yrs is Ange, BR’s made the correct decision not to bring Shin on in such a tense match when we needed a goal . He didn’t want to put too much pressure on Shin, as he is an inexperienced striker from the other side of World and he needs a little time becoming use to the rough and tumble SPL.
Brendan was also correct to leave Inamura out, because similarly he is from other side of the World and even more inexperienced.
Rushing these players unnecessarily could destroy them . Br was proved right our winner came when our subs were on and Scales at lb and Trusty at centre didn’t weaken our defence and didn’t concede.
