It's amazing how big a change we have had in how the club is ran since Peter Lawwells departure. We actually look to be modernising in every fashion. It really was ridiculous how much that man held us back.

Business men are the most stubborn of all so I am not surprised in the slightest. Michael Nicholson seems to be doing a grand job so far.

Although not a big fan of Peter he left the club in a strong financial footing which has allowed us to go strong since Ange was hired. The change in the club direction has changed and all the fans agree. For me we digressed with NL and the change with Ange is nothing short of being amazing.

His dithering and failure to get us a decent CB meant we lost out on the biggest market for us the CL practically every year. No great businessman missing out on that so many times for the same reason would have lasted. He cost us literally hundreds of millions by going cheap hoping and all at a dithering pace. Glad he is gone. Ten years too late.

He was good for finances but should have stayed out of the football department.

His biggest mistake was brining N. L. back.

The problem was that he waited to see if we qualified for the CL before brining in a lot of players instead of bringing in who we needed to give us a better chance to qualify for the group stages.

He failed 9 out of 13 times with the let’s hope it all works out. We all knew defensively we were woeful and more likely than not it was a defensive howler every time that done us. Poor Bitton took the rap for the club not buying in a CB or two that could actually play. Even Rogers teams got handed their arse because we couldn’t defend and took some utterly humiliating tankings. Missing out on the biggest payday so often is clear proof his strategy was an absolute farce. We should have been a lot more solvent if we didn’t have a guy whose ego prevented him from changing how he prepared. If truth he told, we were never prepared. Rogers fell out with him over this, but having said that, Rogers couldn’t see a defender if his life depended on it. He brought in Ange so his parting gift was sound. But repeated failure to qualify for the CL cost us tens of millions, that’s not good business, that’s abject failure. We went out to teams who should never have bothered us most of the time. I’m delighted he has hung up his transfer book for beginners.

Maybe done credit to Peter lads.
The ship was steady money in the bank.
Still winning cups. Ye Europe not much done.
Let's remember he knows this.
We are in a good place so maybe not as bad as many think.

I partly disagree.
Not a mistake bringing NL back (at short notice) as he finished the job The rat had left unfinished.
He also won the league the following season.
However, NL was losing it and had his own demons and PL should have allowed him to move on gracefully.
THAT was where PL failed.
He was battling with DD and not being a football man could not see the upcoming implosion under the 'lost' NL.

Lawells biggest mistake was clinging on to the of brand he kept them relevant as all that mattered was ££££ he could’ve been the guy who buried those mutants instead he’s the guy who gave them life.
