From Ed002 - CCV & Jota update:

There is no doubt about Celtic wanting both players. The CCV concern came from a US international teammate. Cameron Carter-Vickers (CB) Celtic will look to take up the option they have to buy the player and the only concern the player has relates to him wanting to kick-start his international career but something can be done.

Jota (LW) Celtic will look to take up the option they have to buy the player with details regarding wages and bonuses to be resolved and some discussion on the structuring of payments. Something can be done but there is a nagging suspicion this might simply be a stepping stone as Jorge Mendes looks for a future move to a higher-profile club.

Cheers Ed
In regards to Jota, I think it was always going to be a short term "stepping stone" deal in the same way as Moussa and Big Ed was.
As long as the boy helps us win back the title I will be very happy to have him for the next year or two on a permanent basis and sell him on for a big profit.

{Ed007's Note - I said to Paul earlier if it's a 2/3 year stepping stone then I have no problem with that but it could be that he'll be off to the first "bigger" club that comes in for him.}

Sadly, always going to be the case. Any player who excels for us will attract attention from clubs with cash to burn. A higher European profile maybe keep some a bit longer but, as long as we get decent returns…. nothing else we can expect. Bit like Ajax losing there best players every season!

ED007 if we get Jota I think you are right about a 2/ 3 year deal at most with probably a clause releasing him if a club of HIS choosing comes along.
As for CCV yes get him signed as and when funds are available.

Unfortunately that's the celtic model, as long as we make good money out him hopefully after a few seasons of ripping it up.

Agree Mally but to be fair, it's a model that's been adopted by many teams across various leagues in European football, and has been for decades.

Ajax prob got the best model and being fair to celtic we've done not too bad financially.

If we make a healthy profit I'm happy. Though I hope he sticks around but unfortunately I doubt it.
