They don't award league titles in November but we blew a massive opportunity this weekend. Complacency. If we'd shown the same tenacity and urgency as Livingston the game would have been won. Pedestrian and one paced. Very disappointing.

Poor performance not many pass marks, if we get the the Jan window and we're still in contention which i think we will, we need to strengthen 2 or 3 areas.

Wee Forrest performance was a positive from a very poor result.
Celtic only started creating good chances after James came on in 82 minutes.
I think if Ange had put Forrest on in 58 minutes instead of Johnston, Celtic would’ve won.
It would’ve been a straight swap, Forrest for Abada and then Jota could’ve stayed on the left.
When the double substitution was made,3 other players changed positions.
Bitton went into defence, Calmac moved to defensive midfielder and Jota changed wings.
Between the 2 subs and 3 other players moving positions, that’s half our outfield players moved to different positions, all at the same time.
It was probably too much changing about because Celtic still failed to create anything for the next 24 minutes until Forrest came on.
Straight swap with Forrest and Abada would’ve been better.

We were 6 points behind at the start of October and finished the month 4 points behind. Hopefully next month we gain a point or 2 then we head into December which is a crucial period for them with Hibs Aberdeen Hearts then us on the 2nd January. Saturday was a big disappointment but we move on and try to keep an unbeaten run going un the league games from now till the shutdown.

I feel my optimism and confidence fluctuate from month to month the way we are going so far. On our game we are a match for anyone and look very fluent and potent in front of goal (The first half against Hibs for instance) ; then came Saturday's shocker and it didn't just spoil a chance to go top temporarily, it questioned our attitude and even 'bottle' when it boils down to it, even squandering a last gasp penalty kick that would have won a game, we possibly didn't deserve?
Said at the final whistle, it would give Sevco a boost and maybe it did, but we can't afford to be so benevolent in the future.
Ange has made one or two team-selection head scratchers, up until now and as we go into November 4 points behind; lessons need to be learnt and our strongest team played in their best positions.
It's obvious we would miss Broony's presence and stature and although Cal-Mac has great qualities, we need more battlers and motivators on the pitch, to help our captain in games like this.

OAB2, I totally agree. We're up for a couple of games and then we produce a poor performance to let a bit of air out of the enthusiasm. We're showing quality but we're still lacking consistency and that's why the Sevs are ahead.
Being 2 points behind, which we were before the weekend, just needs the swing in one game to swap positions but 4 points is at least 2 games. Yes it's only November etc. etc. but we need to show more reliability. Saturday was a shocker against a team where most of our first team players cost more than their entire squad. HH.

All good points OAB2.

I agree that we can't afford to 'rest' any first team players at this moment in time, let alone our best players.

We've got the makings of a good side and despite he start we made we've managed to get ourselves within touching distance at the top of the league.

With reinforcements hopfully due in the next window, the arrival of Scotlands shame at CP in two months time, I'm thinking we can be in pole position after that game.
