Greg Taylor’s great league record for Celtic continues.
Greg has started 28 league games so far in his Celtic career.
In those games Celtic have Won 24 games.
We have drawn 3 matches all on plastic pitches and the only league defeat Greg has experienced when starting for Celtic was at home to St. Mirren a couple of weeks ago.
Taylor has only played a total of 7 minutes against Sevco which came at the end of the C. V game at Celtic Park.
Greg now has a total of 2.68 points per game that he’s started.
Only Stuart Armstrong with an average of 2.70 points per game has more in the last 5 seasons.

Greg Taylor has cemented LB as his own. A far better player than Laxalt.

i was really impressed with him today.

If we are seriously about improving our squad then GT is not the answer.

Good stats and info buzz bomb! It’s a shame our own manager doesn’t have the sense of you!

Celtic manager Neil Lennon: "The manner of the performance was very good. The reaction was top class and we scored two beautiful goals.

"On a really sticky pitch they looked like a real good football team today. "

Lolol.

JJ compeletely agree. Greg Taylor is a decent squad player at best. Decent cross for the goal but that's the least we expect. And why does he take so long to take a throw-in lol.

If fans could get into games he would have been a target for the Boo boys at every misplaced pass. Pleased for the lad as he gives 100%.

14 Feb 2021 18:03:46
Yes he gives a 100%, but that should be standard. if anyone thinks players of GT quality are good enough to challenge, then maybe that's one reason for the current mess we are in.

14 Feb 2021 18:17:21
The thing some people miss is that he is one of the very FEW that have given 100% every time he plays and if the rest had been as consistent we would not be in this mess. It's impossible to have a full team of superstars - although a few can help - all good teams have solid consistent 7 out of ten squad men to carry the load.

14 Feb 2021 18:25:48
That's the thing if you can rely on him to do what the team needs him to do consistently but not outstanding you get the players in that perhaps need a foundation but can do the magical. there's been clubs that have had a solid workmanlike team of 11 that have done well and there's been a collection of superstars that have never been a team and performed badly. For me it's always down to the manager to get the most from a team.

I am not make him a scapegoat for the season. and some of his performances are decent. But why are we looking at diminutive fullbacks the have no presence in the air.
Even Kenny is tiny. its a weakness we have that teams exploit.
We have to be looking at better quality.

A few observations from today, just my tuppence worth;-

* Greg Taylor, works hard, dependable if unremarkable. Next season he should be a solid back up LB.

* today's result, 3 points and it should have been more comfortable. Bottom line, we struggle against any team in this league that is prepared to work, fight and have a go.

* 2-1 away to St. Johnstone should never be described as a great win for Celtic.

* LG sitting (in the stand) laughing like the dumpling he is at Christie slipping and going on his backside, when we're struggling. Nice one Leigh, hopefully you're away soon with the rest.

Pedro - I’ve never been a fan of Griff.

Under RD he had a great season and since then he has been nothing but trouble and wasted what should have been his prime years.

With Eddie leaving in the summer, I’d like to see the other 3 sold as well and new players brought in.

Maybe a new boss can get a tune out of Ajeti / Klimala but I really can’t see it.
