Therefore we would have won.
Another thing look at the pitch it played like treacle. The ball held up all day. The team couldn, t get their passing game going as every pass was slow or short.
We have to find another way to beat teams who play on this type of surface. and when the opposition defend in depth.
Larrson Sutton and Hartson would have scored a bundle against them.
Fletcher or Griffiths could have made a difference.

1 bad foul/ stroke goalkeeping error from Kilmarnock and they would have won. Celtic created nothing, no near misses or brilliant saves from there goalie. Take the greeen tinted glasses off we were brutal.

jonace I was thinking the same about signing fletcher. He's not an out and out goalscorer but can hold ball up well and link up. That's what we were missing yesterday. If we had to drop points its better start of season than later. I reckon it will be a different side we field next game.

Im with you ninja. Result aside as a spectacle it was fecking dire to watch. 2shots on target summed up by brown going at it from 25yards. It's kinda all coulda woulda shoulda but Lenny looks a bit helpless when it's not going well. We go again Wednesday.

We created hee haw and were murder but tgat pitch should be banned looked like we were play ing on ice total farce.

We had all the possession but failed to really create a single chance from open play and both goalies had a very quiet afternoon.
The passing was sticky and slow, but then most teams would consider crosses/ high balls over the top, but we have no aerial power - like you mention a Hartson, Sutton, or Larsson could have been the difference and that is probably why we are looking for similar?

I'll say it only once, we had no width in the game yesterday. The only way to beat teams that play that way is to get the ball out wide and put quality balls in. They played the same way they always do.

It's only the second game in we will lose points throughout the season and so will all other teams. For me you are correct royjac we didn't use the width plan B seamed to be bring on another striker and Play the same as we were playing so boring to watch yesterday and so predictable.

Noticed that had made their pitch considerably smaller in length and width to minimize the space for us. A smaller pitch made it easier for them to park the bus plus not watering it just slowed down the zip on all our passes. This is when we need to route one it and have a target man. Everytime we got the ball out wide Forrest, Moi, Taylor or Frimpong all cut inside. No width and it was too hard trying to find a pass though Killie with every man behind the ball.
