Many people have criticised the appointment of NL, I had my doubts about it when he was appointed, however yesterday's performance was absolutely amazing. The team were direct, clinical, and moved around the park like a heard of gazelle in the Serengeti.
If this is the type of performances we are going to get then im more than excited about this season. None of that passing along the back four wasting time with slow build up, boring dull football.
Ryan Christie just gets better, the lad can finish no question about it.
If you were scratching your head at why Sinclair didn't start well yesterday answered that, young hungry players wanting to prove a point.

I wasn't happy about Lennon's appointment and I still don't think he should be anywhere near the job.
Not because of his managerial ability which I still don't think is right, yes it was a good performance but we were playing a really bad team that couldn't even beat Ross Co, Montrose or Forfar, My issues are with the threatening to have a young girl's throat cut after he couldn't bribe her because she was going to spill the beans when Lennon couldn't keep his pants up. Ed has also mentioned that there are other incidents where we got a D order (I think its called that) where we "can't talk about it"
As a father of 5 girls I think its discusting and out of order, I will always support the team but there is no way that I will support or approve of his appointment.

I don't have any issues with the team, the performance or the score Just the appointment of the manager which the original poster mentioned.
Does it matter when the story was from? loads of people on here didn't want Danny Simpson anywhere near the team for what he did and which happened the same year as the Lennon incident but won't see a thing said about Lennon and always come out with the "in Lennon we trust" crap. Total hypocrisy in my eyes
I can still support the team without liking who manages it.

I was critical of Lennon’s appointment and still do think it’s a back wards step. Let’s not get carried away like that other mob do but if he has us playing like that still at end of season and gets us into the champions league, he deserves all the plaudits that come his way. Board seem to be backing his judgment too on players.
If young Henderson isn’t going to be involved much this year i would get him out on loan. Boy needs to be playing 1st team football. Absolutely gutted we lost his brother, he came back a much better player after his loan in Norway.

Totally agree Henderson needs game time, however id punt Rogic and give henderson game time, he's much more valuable to us. I wouldn't waste my time playing Arzani either when we have Sinclair Oko flex Morgan Shved and Dembele, send him back and loan a RB in asap for cover.

It's one game so let's not be getting carried away with Lennon, jury is still out. let's hope we don't see a repeat of the Ibrox performance as that's where he'll be judged, but yesterday's performance certainly helps Lennon to start winning over the doubters including myself.

I know where you're coming from Johnbhoy and was critical of his return last Feb and was not impressed with a lot of performances in the run-in - although did appreciate the superb effort and achievement However, the last two home performances were outstanding, with much slicker football and plenty of goals and if this form continues - the support will be delighted with what they are watching.
This season we will have many detractors, critics, haters and hurdles including many organisations and bodies trying to halt our success.
It's a time to stick together and defy those who despise us.

I always wonder how any Celtic supporter can believe a word from what is in the SMSM . Ever since the Christmas Party and the Daily Record reporting on the
“Thugs Liars and Thieves “:I have not believed a word of condemnation from the SMSM, especially the Daily Record .
Obviously some Celtic fans are happy to believe stories from these sources with very little or no proof .
Th question of Danny Simpson and the alleged wrong -doings were not a reason why I didn’t want him at Celtic Pk . It’s my believe that in England and Scotland any man who is guilty of the type of violence reported to have been committed by both Lennon and Simpson would have spent time in prison . Prison sentences are given when people are guilty, not when media reports .
Neither Lennon nor Simpson spent any time in prison .
I wasn’t sure about Simpson coming to Celtic because of his age and he really not playing any last season .
Good luck to those who can have everyone working in any capacity a saint like themselves . It will be lovely to see Celtic Park lit up by halos🤓🤪🤩.

I must have taken a wrong turn somewhere, I thought this was a football site and not a chatroom for the moral police. I think players, coaches and managers should be judged on their ability to do the job they are paid to do and not on their personal lives, religion, politics etc.
Unless the Virgin Mary is on here using a pseudonym it's safe to say we are all sinners and have made mistakes. I for one hope I will never be judged by men and will rely on God's mercy in the final judgment. He who is without sin should cast the first stone - I won't be casting any. Let's just enjoy the football, banter and crack and leave the moralisms to the fundamentalists. Rant over, sorry.

Believe stories with very little proof? did Lennon not admit what he did and apologise? Did Simpson not get found guilty and sentanced to community service which was then changed to a house curfew? but i guess because neither got banged up then all the reports must be made up!
There are plenty of incidents of normal people getting banged up for doing the same thing as so called celebrities or people with money who get next to no punishment.
Anyway my main point was as a father of 5 daughters, to me after what Lennon did then he should be no where near Parkhead, my other point was that people on here and in other forums were outraged when it looked like we might sign Simpson because of what he did but turned a blind eye when it comes to Lennon.
