I don’t believe for a minute the Daily Record’s report that Dermot Desmond offered to double Sir Alex Ferguson’s Man. Utd. salary to join Celtic. I’m of the opinion that if the report can be accredited to Desmond, then it’s nothing more than an attempt for Desmond to ingratiate himself to the Celtic support.

Desmond pops up from time to time and spouts utter pish! The one about the current team beating the Seville team was the best of the lot! And the old ‘British league’ getting spouted again! I personally don’t listen to a word he says!

Then we will know as someone in the media will ask him as we never know what goes on behind the scenes at Celtic we have never known. So let's all stop assuming we do.
