A lot of people didn’t like Gordon I have nothing but respect for the man some people think if a man doesn’t pull the jersey on they don’t deserve the same respect as someone who has.

Football under Strachan was brutal. Not caring what he won or how well he did in Europe. The football was dire.

Not caring what he won or how well he did in Europe! That makes no sense at all! Strachan done well for us and there was some memorable nights domestic and European. as a person but I just couldn’t take to the guy. nothing to do at all about him not playing for us, just not likeable wee guy! Wee man syndrome was made for guys like Strachan!

I’m 5’ 2” and I resent your comment about wee man syndrome tae the point I will take you outside and batter your melt in the rip aff yer Heid and crop in your neck for suggesting us wee guys get violent when it., oh, right
Actually I quite like WGS and his predecessor MON was given a lot more to spend so was always going to be a hard act to follow.

Strachan was a great manager and brought us great success.
Gave us players like nakamura, paul Hartley, Barry Robson and our captain leader legend scott brown.
He also set lennon on his way to management.
6 domestic honours
5 different manager of the years awards
1st manager to get us to last 16 of champions league.
Love the wee guy.

Sorry he’s a sheep like Joe Harper and Drew Jarvie who were hated by the Jungle. One of our fans tried to strangle the wee one over the fence when he was taking a throw in. Couldn’t believe it when he became manager. Always thought he would grow on me. The best thing I can say is he’s not a rat.

Wee Strachan I'm sure gave us back to back last 16 in champions league and only a kaka wonder goal away from a quarter final and as everyone knows gave us the joy of watching nakamura. Should be remembered as a great celtic manager.

WGS was a great manager for us at a time when the board were slashing the squad and wage bill, whilst managing to get us into the last 16 of the CL with a CB pairing of Caldwell and McManus.
He manage to build a great team when he brought in players like Boruc, Naka, Hartley, Jan VOH, McDonald, Robson and Big Sammi to name a few.
I will always remember him and have the upmost respect for him with the way he conducted himself after Tommy passed.
And also how we finished the 07/ 08 season will always live with me.

Football was dire anyone saying different didn't watch it. If you support Celtic just for results then fair enough. I love the fact Celtic try to entertain the support by playing good football. Didn't happen under Strachan.
Don't dislike him just his style of football.

I liked Strachan managing Celtic.
There is a but.
Its like marmite, hate or love.
His interviews I hated he had a dry sence if humour which was not my cup of tea.
He was always winding people up gd performance or bad performance there was no dif.
I could never work out how he felt after a win or a lose.
He just bugged me that's all. I stopped watching his comments and interview s but thought he have us gd nights when manager.

better record in Europe than best manager in the epl [ slug].

He could be overtly turbulent just for the sake of it sometimes, but he gave me good Celtic memories.

Under GS we had the fittest Celtic team I have witnessed.
The extra time victory against Rangers was easy. We could have won 5-0 in extra time alone. Also when we won on penalties against Spartak Moscow, we missed about 5 sitters in extra time against a team who where half way through their season at the time.

Martin O’Neil had Larsson, Sutton etc and still couldn't make last 16. Gordon had McDonald n big jan and Caldwell and donati and snow in a team 😂 and done it twice just saying lol.

Strachan done fantastic given who he replaced and having to deal with the club downsizing. Went toe to toe with a financially doped Rangers and gave us some fantastic nights in Europe. One of the better managers in our history.

I thought we were a club open to all? Not going by ticket prices for Europa League last 32. £37 for season ticket holders and I would imagine £42 when they go on general sale. Disgusting way to treat fans. If we get to the qtrs or semi we will be looking at 50 or 60 quid a ticket 🤬🤬.

Unfortunately the words of big Jock about football being nothing without the fans, has never been fully adopted or emphasized by our Board or PLC; while the support are sometimes patronized and often taken for granted. because they know how deep the feelings run.

It's a big jump but the group stage was cheap and if you add the 4 games it averages £27 which isn't too bad and I wouldn't envisage much increases if we qualify🤞.

Sevco charged the gullibles about 40 quid more than us for the 3 game package.

20 Dec 2019 15:09:56
Agree Jim the 3 match package was reasonably priced and over the 4 games it averages out not too bad. don't agree that there won't be much increase if we go further in the tournament. Would envisage a 4 or 5 quid hike per round. At this rate the average fan is going to be priced out and Euro nights are going to be turned into Tourist attractions like the pub league in England. Peter would be quite happy to see the ground packed out with middle class half and half scarf wearers applauding the oppositions top players.

I think a ticket for the Aberdeen game tomorrow is £31 for a non season ticket holder and it’s sold out. Celtic know the tickets will sell but it is still expensive.
To be fair to the club, the 3 game package for the group games were cheap compared to Sevco and the other british clubs and I still think £37 will be the cheapest ticket of all the british clubs left in the last 32.

Why are fans greeting about ticket prices for European games when they are quite happy to pay £50 when we play that other mob.

Celtic will need to be on top form when we visit St. Mirren on Boxing Day after the officials were made public.
Wullie Collum will be the referee again, so anything is possible depending what side of the bed Wullie gets out off.
Our friend Mr Ross the Tory will be a linesman and on the other side will be Andrew McWilliams who was a linesman in the Motherwell v Sevco game last week. The Motherwell players were raging at being continually flagged offside by McWilliams anytime they went near the Sevco goal, although they were clearly onside.
I took a note of who he was for future reference because he was really biased and now he is part of the new dream team in an effort to stop the juggernaut of Celtic.

Said the other night, after we have had Collum, Beaton and Madden in strict succession, that it could not be more obvious how the establishment are showing their hand so blatantly.
NL was raging at some of the decisions on wed night and I have no doubt he (and the support) will expect much more of the same with maybe our old friend Clancy or even McLean lined up for Sevco visit?
Main thing as always is to keep winning - despite.
Incidentally, I see The SFA are looking at VAR in Jan; can you imagine having a permutation of three 'stoneworkers' every week ha ha.

Out of interest, who are the refs that favour us? Seems like every week there's a post about the refs being against us.

In recent times Aberdeen have done well at Celtic Park. They have only conceded one goal in their last 3 visits and that was the Scott Sinclair back heal in the only goal of the game at the end of last year.
They won 1-0 in the last game of the 2017/ 18 season, which helped Aberdeen secure second place before Sevco. The last time they came to Celtic Park it ended in a goalless draw.
I still expect us to secure our 10th league win in a row but it could be tough to get that all important first goal. Another 2-0 league victory would be a good result and would set us up nicely for the visit to St, Mirren.

It's a big game and a must win. Sevco look decent and will likely push us all the way. Win all our games this month and we create some breathing space.
