Any truth in possible Adidas strip deal, or just rumour?

1.) 07 Jan 2020 14:52:42
It's a rumour just now as it stands but expect to hear more the next few months when our agreement with new balance is coming to an end.

Footyheadlines who are highly reliable and usually get it spot on said an agreement was in place with us and adidas so here's hoping!

I personally think new balance has been a waste of time and the strips have been horrible, whereas adidas tops are usually stunning and would bring far more income to the club if a deal works out.

Cheers Greenclover.

I know it's probably done to death at the moment but does anyone know who the next manager will be. Anyone in the know? . I only get my info online out here and with ridiculous suggestions like Mourinho I've not got a clue.

1.) 10 May 2019 06:15:49
Bribhoy, I think it's best to assume that Lennon will be announced as the permanent manager until the club says otherwise. A thousand people will have a thousand opinions but that's all they are. HH.

2.) 10 May 2019 10:43:43
Thanks Bob. Could be worse. 😉.

3.) 10 May 2019 11:10:07
Think it will be Lennon but hope I'm wrong. Problem is I can't think of many realistic candidates. Like ed said, it would be interesting to see who's applied. We can hope.

4.) 10 May 2019 19:14:05
I hope it's not Lenny and the board have got who will be next manager sorted now ready to go in right after the cup final.

5.) 10 May 2019 23:49:06
Bielsa if he doesn't get promoted? 😉 Doesn't spend too much either so will suit how the board work.

6.) 12 May 2019 03:40:02
It’s Lennon I feel bad for the guy doesn’t know what’s happening if he has a job or not, not many guys would have came in as an intern manager he’s bailed us out! Big ask to come and fill Brendan’s shoes, I personally would rather someone else to manage us but at the end of the day who can Celtic attract, we got lucky with Rodgers because he was a Celtic man and out of work. Imagine Jose Mourinho coming to Scotland and standing at pittodrie with a half empty stadium, and at the most a club record of 9million to spend on a player lol.

13 Jan 2018 09:45:00
Does anyone know of paddy roberts injury progress. Thanks in advance.

1.) 13 Jan 2018 10:38:59
Bribhoy according to Brendan himself, Roberts not expected back playing until end of February, Rogic could be back end of January.

2.) 13 Jan 2018 10:41:20
He is doing light training and looks to be on course for February return.

3.) 13 Jan 2018 11:07:02
Been a real waste of money this loan deal with little return.

Hindsight obviously but surely we have a player in mind for a permanent transfer going forward

I’d love to see us go for Sebastian Giovinco - unsure of what he earns in the MLS but the kind of creative player we need for Europe.

4.) 13 Jan 2018 11:47:37
I’d imagine Paddy is the obvious choice for a permanent signing Kev.

5.) 13 Jan 2018 11:50:42
Gionvinco went to the MLS as the highest paid player at the time. He’s now been overtaken by Kaka and David Villa, but he’s on well over 100k a week.

6.) 13 Jan 2018 12:01:55
Paddy was outstanding last year and can only remember one injury he's been unlucky this year but as far as the loan we could have paid 6mill for him and he'd still be injured.

7.) 13 Jan 2018 13:18:37
Yeah but he’d be our player if he signed.

Hopefully gets back fit and well soon as we could have done with him in late December.

8.) 13 Jan 2018 17:11:48
Would absolutely love it if we used the VVD money towards securing wee Paddy.

9.) 13 Jan 2018 20:36:48
A fit on form Paddy is our best player. Hope we can secure him long term.

10.) 14 Jan 2018 12:15:36
It's been a nightmare season for the wee man considering he had virtually no pre-season preparation and this contributed to his injuries and stop-start second spell.
He has proved what he can do when fit and confident and I would be delighted if we could secure PR on a long term deal.

11.) 15 Jan 2018 03:16:19
Thanks for the above info. Hopefully we can get a bit of spark back after the winter break. All the players firing on all cylinders makes for an exciting second half to the season.

08 Jan 2018 12:11:33
As an expat only get info from the papers and online here. Any truth in sturidge rumours or is it paper talk? Any other solid info on new potential signings would be appreciated!

1.) 08 Jan 2018 18:12:25
I haven't seen Sturridge mentioned in any paper online and I usually do a google news search on Celtic every day. I'm assuming then, that the Sturridge link has came from one of the tw*tter experts that I do not follow. Sturridge, when fit, was an excellent player, who the manager knows and would really fit our style. However it's a huge gamble given that he hasn't stayed fit for so long. Then there's the matter of him probably being on more than 100k a week, which makes any sort of permanent deal an absolute pipe-dream.

2.) 08 Jan 2018 17:38:35
Is that short for Brittany bhoy?
Any cache clubs down there?

3.) 10 Jan 2018 09:50:37
Don't live in Brittany Island Celt. Over in Oz so this is my only real line of information apart from the papers online but that info is sometimes hard to believe :)

For the Oz based guys the game is on Stan Sports. Which you can get a week trial for free if you already have Stan ($14 per month subscription) . All the Champions league games will be on there this year. ($10additonal p/ m for sports outwith free trial. ) . There is also a months trial free for stan itself. So would imagine you can combine both for tonight's game.

Loved the podcast, listened to it this morning. Sound disparity between you and Paul needs sorted though, teething problems. Laughed a few times about Paul smoking a ciggie at half time when he was a keeper and talking about rangers fans shooting down Buzz's stat pigeon🤣🤣. Keep it up lads.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks, Bri 👍 I'll sort the mic thing out, nobody in the chat mentioned it at the time or I could have fixed it then.}

1.) 22 Mar 2021 11:10:09
Thanks Bribhoy.

2.) 22 Mar 2021 12:44:18
Hopefully you will get a bit more input when people get out there shell. But you both came across well, no long pauses or drivel. Looking forward to the next one.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

Whats everyones thoughts or predictions for new manager. It would be nice to see some realistic views and opinions on what we think will happen.

1.) 17 Mar 2021 07:04:00
Harkin and Maresca as head coach will be announced 2nd week in May i think no source just my opinion based on when the U23 season for Man City finishes.

2.) 17 Mar 2021 07:14:13
Bribhoy, I'm thinking one of two scenarios are going to happen;- (1) Harkin as D. O. F and U23 Coach of Man City as Manager or (2) a D. O. F and Manager DD has brought in that no one has mentioned (out of left field) .

3.) 17 Mar 2021 07:18:13
I have always had a feeling that it will be Keane, I am very intrigued with the Maresca talk though especially if he comes in with Harkin as DOF, probably because they will already have a very close working relationship
If we named a DOF first I think it will probably give away who the new manager will be although I think they will probably be announced together.
I would really like them to announce it right before Sevco game like what happened with the Rodgers appointment that took away the shine from the cup final where they then got beat from Hibs.

4.) 17 Mar 2021 08:32:54
Nicky Hammond to be Director of football.
Phil Giles from Brentford as Technical Director.
I'd expect a British or Irish manager. Personally I'd make Moyes an offer he can't refuse but wouldn't be surprised to see Eddie Howe or Steve Clarke.

5.) 17 Mar 2021 10:09:31
I think it's going to be Harkin and keane.

6.) 17 Mar 2021 10:14:48
Megan as DOF and Harry as manager.

7.) 17 Mar 2021 22:59:31
I was kind of against the Keane idea at first but it might not be the worst option. He definitely would bring up the fitness levels of the team as I'm sure I remember some of the man u players saying he influenced them in how to eat and train properly (i might be mistaken though) . Its all guesswork just now but I hope they do have some sort of progressive plan in place.

24 Feb 2021 07:29:37
Time to draw a line in the sand. I was never a fan of Neil Lennon because I thought he was not of the ilk of previous managers. I find him arrogant and out of touch with the fans. But the abuse thrown at him is getting out of control. The board is where I lay the blame. Poor decisions and no corrective actions. Time to move on and change our model.

25 Dec 2020 10:49:03
Merry Christmas everyone. Im stuck at work, but it could be worse😁. Hopefully we start playing good football again. Well done on the food bank Mark and all that were able to contribute and help others this time of year.

{Ed007's Note - That's a bummer you're working, Brian. Merry Christmas mate and God bless 🙏 The response to the foodbank appeal has been amazing.}

Yep, it might actually be a good decision for reasons unknown but just when you think a bit of stability this happens. Which ultimately means the decision makers have shown poor judgement again. Does anyone have any legitimate info?

Yep, your right Pedro. I blame hotel quarantine and heaps of booze. I would have argued with myself last night.
