Use our rumours form to send us celtic transfer rumours.

20 Apr 2020 21:28:33
I know we all love to speculate at this time of year, and with nothing else to do here is my tuppence worth of transfer theorizing.
The squad is very strong and if no one left wouldn't need any additions.
Even if those players out of contract left only Fraser Foster would need an expensive replacement. { However I believe he will be here next season whenever that will be}
With the rumours about Brandon Soppy if true then i think that could mean Frimpong could be leaving at a great profit to us.
I would like to see us buy Hamilton and Lewis from Accies, Hickey from Hearts and Turnbull from Motherwell with all being loaned back for a year. Daniel Church could be loaned to Hearts with the proviso that Hickey plays in midfield he would make the perfect replacement for SB after he retires with his 10th championship in a row.
Also if there are doubts about Eyonoussi then weshould try to get Ryan Fraser on a free.

{Ed007's Note - Remember Man City are due 30% of any profit we make on Frimpong, Jon.}

20 Apr 2020 22:24:12
I still can't get ma head round that one ed.

21 Apr 2020 00:22:12
No ones paying big money for Frimpong yet. Lad has potential but hasn't done enough to warrant a big money move.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Apr 2020 09:19:12
Correct bigbubs
He's not done much his final product not there. He keeps going backwards or passing ball back and getting caught out position.
Few on here where getting carried away a we bit on how gd he ain't imo.
That position belongs to elhamed. When avail lols.
We need cover for this position and not just a bandaid.
I think it would be gd to know that Celtic are still training hard as our training pitch is huge the lads can turn up in there gear then drive home in it. I'm sure the Celtic coaches could still have us all training separated. No need to go to changing rooms etc. I was just wondering what was going on and what plans are in place to keep the lads super fit incase they start getting lazy.

Agree2 Disagree0

21 Apr 2020 13:41:01
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but the lad had me out my seat more than most this year been a bit unlucky with injury but in my opinion a very promising and exciting prospect I'm looking forward to seeing more of.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Apr 2020 15:14:07
I must be watching the wrong frimpong he never once got me out my seat he started to become predictable.
What you talking about it's an opinion website talk about stating the obvious.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Apr 2020 16:45:19
You must see something different from me sitting in the house watching games whilst I sit in the stands watching of course it's an opinion website full of different opinions not just bowing down to yours.

The boy played 14 league games this season scored 2 with 3 assists not bad for a right back in his 1st senior season of 1st team football.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Apr 2020 18:18:39
frimpon looks a good prospect but needs to grow abit is far too small he gets bullied imo I think soppy could be a great little signing if we get him as elhamed is made of glass might be what we're looking for . Would like us to sign hickey and cochrane from hearts will be cheap and good youn prospects and woul wait till January to see what Trumbull does he may never be the same player.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Apr 2020 19:16:56
I'm on it was the setups that we seen the best/ worst of frimpong stay safe.

Would also sell kouassi as he's proven nothing the 2 American lads as they can't get a permit and I know a lot of you will not like this but rogic he's too much of a luxury player and I think Christie is miles better in the number 10 he is also more versatile and actually puts a shift in.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Apr 2020 19:42:46
Frank I love watching rogic play but he doesn't play often enough for me due to fitness and injury Christie would be one of the first names on my team sheet every week due to his workrate and commitment to the team and the bhoys a player.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Apr 2020 21:25:10
I agree he's a good player and can look awesome at times just not enough he's just a pure sicknote Christie and mcgregor are the heartbeat of the team we seen that when broony was injured the football was fast and fluid rogic didn't get a sniff he isn't needed would take 7 to 10 million for him but that's me hoping sum1 would pay that pmsl.

21 Apr 2020 22:20:27
Jaw you actually think you are s better fan because you go to the game a fan is a fan full stop not sure why you are judging people especially me what makes you think I don't go to Celtic games home and away. Do you also think you are a real Celtic fan because you go to the games. What about all the Celtic fans who can't physically go to to it can't afford a season ticket. And you call yourself a Celtic give me piece.

22 Apr 2020 07:31:41
Foster is vastly over rated, I just can't believe the adulation he gets.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Apr 2020 10:09:32
Forster has saved us countless times this season he's best we've had since the holy goalie and if we get him for less than ten mil is money well spent or would u prefer Gordon or Bain in goals? Maybe five teams boy hazar a try he's huge could be a cheap replacement.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Apr 2020 12:00:52
Nope Andy I don't think I'm more / better Celtic fan than anyone I simply don't like the way you dismiss other people's opinions if they don't match yours. You have clearly written the bhoy off saying he's done nothing and always goes backwards this is what makes me believe you don't go to many games as I sit directly in line with the 18yard line at the Celtic end only 4 rows up so I see very closely our attacking players in that side and don't see what you are seeing.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Apr 2020 12:16:56
I would just like to put on record that in no way do I believe that I or anyone else who attends game's has more/ less love for the club than anyone who can't attend for any reason. However I am entitled to my opinion and will enter into discussion with anyone whether their view is similar or the polar opposite. All I'm looking for is the respect of each others opinions as we are all entitled to them.

One of the reasons why Celtic can go on long winning runs is that Lennon and his assistants have all the first team players trained completely in not taking risks with the ball in dangerous positions . If either full back or wing decides to take on his man he must beat him or he will be in serious trouble . Our team is rarely set up so that full back or wing back is covered if he loses ball, so if he wants to keep his place he will often pass. It’s better we keep procession and use the ball more excitingly further up pitch .
Our play may mean less jumping out of seat for some, but I prefer my thrills closer to opponents goals with at least 4 / 5 of our players behind the ball protecting our goals.

There has been concerns with our £59 million annual wage bill. For 3 and a half years Celtic have won every domestic honour available and with that success comes bonuses. Celtic also win an average of 30 league games a season and that is more win bonuses but at this present time the players are not even getting appearance money.
That £59 million I would imagine will be diluting during this break from football. Also the directors, players and coaches have accepted a wage cut for now. For which they must be applauded.
There is no denying there will be hard times ahead but we have credit with the bank available if need be.
Celtic know our fans will be Faithful through and through and We Shall Overcome. 🍀.

It's very possible that immediate transfer funds will be hampered - unless another big sale is being considered - in order to balance the books and protect the financial requirements of the current squad? However, the rest of the world is in a similar situation and the transfer window may be suspended anyway, with recovery a priority?
The current crisis is affecting almost every earner in the country and with no immediate signs of relaxation or solution there will be other clubs and Industries a lot worse-off than Celtic.

Agree1 Disagree0

20 Apr 2020 20:10:50
Correct. And we have assets, this break does not mean that out players have somehow lost their talent. It's time and patience, understanding the need to beat this Covid 19 by staying at home.

Great version of You'll Never Walk Alone released by Michael Ball and Captain Tom Moore. The Govanites will be asking for their donations back.

Jfp I read a bit about that old guy. Apparently the charity takes a cut of the donations and is run by his daughter and son in law, they're meant to be taking £1.5million.

Steph, that’s shocking but I’m not surprised. This pandemic is simultaneously bringing out the best and the worst in people. I just thought it was funny the choice of song knowing that the Help our Heroes brigade who’d jumped on the British Army link will be cringing if they donated. A wee post in gratitude to ed007. Thank you for keeping page going mate during this epidemic. We appreciate it mate thank you.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks, Phil, hopefully it's helping all of you pass some time while being locked up.}

20 Apr 2020 11:45:39
Aye well done big fella it's appreciated 👍👍🍀.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Thanks mate but I'm really not doing anything different or out of the ordinary. All this lockdown stuff hasn't really affected me apart from not getting to Mass on a Saturday and seeing my mum, the Mrs is still away out to start work at 5 a.m so our routine hasn't been messed up. While you guys are all climbing the walls and fighting the urge to strangle the wife & kids I'm just plodding on as normal 👍

20 Apr 2020 12:45:24
Ed do you work? Or is this that busy you don't have time for work?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - No mate I don't work. I had an accident at work about 20 years ago when a pile of steel beams fell on me causing multiple breaks in my leg and shattering my ankle, they put steel pins etc in and I was back working after learning to walk again & physio but 10 years ago the metal in my leg became infected and had to be removed (it wasn't pretty 🤮) and now I need to use crutches all the time to get about.}

20 Apr 2020 13:01:36
ED007 in my household it is the opposite way about, Mrs T and the girls fighting the urge to strangle ME, cannot for the life of me think why as I "brighten" up their day with my jokes and stories, which they have only heard 2000 times before lol.

Agree3 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - If I stayed with you, Tim I'd be out there licking shop door handles and asking folk to cough in my face - no offence mate 😋

20 Apr 2020 13:26:13
Geezuz, Ed, wasn't aware of that. I knew that something wasn't right in posts a few weeks back but wasn't aware of the extent. Just a wee word of advice, if you're going out licking door honnles and asking folk to cough in your face remember to wash your hands with soap when you get home.

{Ed007's Note - 😂😂😂

20 Apr 2020 14:32:40

20 Apr 2020 15:13:33
ED007 these idiots should not be given the oxygen of publicity rather all the good deeds people are doing, I know you and Moneypenny are heavily involved with your local foodbank and I have to blow the trumpet of Mrs T, we have two old ladies who live alone near us, Mrs T makes sure when we are out food shopping we get supplies for them as well, over the weekend there she made them both hot meals (she first asked them what food they liked) Saturday she sent girls over with two dishes of mince and tatties and fruit for desert, Sunday she got girls to take over home made Ham soup then gave them both two small cartons of ready made custard and some madeira cake for dessert.
The girls have even got involved in helping deliver foodstuffs to families in our area via a charity they are involved in, just essential foodstuffs like bread, milk, cornflakes, cold meats and cheese but both girls do it twice weekly and this is going on all over Scotland with neighbour helping neighbour.

{Ed007's Note - Bravo mate 👏👏👏👏👏 that's brilliant stuff from all of you.}
