I read rangers and Patrick thistle threaten to stop Scottish football not that either are much good anyway my opinion if thats how they want it through them out !

When you watch them it would get football stopped anyway 😅.

Stop football for what?

18 Jun 2020 12:49:09
Because they're both dug meat that's why they want football stopped😂😂😂.

18 Jun 2020 14:55:51
they can always leave any time they want.

I think it's the crowd noise from fifa 20 they are playing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Jun 2020 18:17:21
Watching the Villa game just now looks like a training exercise without a crowd I was told in Germany they have dubbed crowds voice over to make it more enjoyable to watch better doing that also on Sky.

17 Jun 2020 18:28:41
I've watched live games from Poland, Spain and now England and it proves beyond any doubt 'Football is nothing without the supporters'.
When our season starts in August, I would like us to play recordings of Celtic songs from previous full-houses and other crowd noise.
I'm sure BT would oblige with 'suitable soundtracks'?

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 21:03:13
They are playing some sort of track for the City game. Not sure if it's at the stadium or by the broadcaster but it's the best atmosphere the Etihad has seen.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 22:36:59
I watched some of the Man C game on NBCSN and they had crowd noise playing, i didn't find it to bad.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jun 2020 08:14:06
I think one of the channels had crowd noise the others did not I watched the city game without the noise. It was dire. The commentating was dire they should all be replaced by excitable type voices who raise there tempo when attack a voice that gets involved in the game and they commentate QA through the whole game as if you are listening on the radio type thing and you start to get off your seat. The monotone and lack of excitment in there voice for the game was shocking. That was why it was so boring there commentary personality could not excite a dug to sit even if u offered it a treat.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jun 2020 14:30:24
Stand corrected guys; The Man City game was on THREE consecutive SLY Sports channels and one had no background sound, one had some sort of pre-recorded crowd noise and chants from a previous game, while the other had four video-linked fans commenting live.
Still would like Celtic to 'pipe-in' crowd atmosphere and songs for our home games to give it a lift.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jun 2020 18:47:23
Still had Arsenal fans in full song at 3-0 down 😂 Not for me in afraid.

17 Jun 2020 16:26:24
Seeing Celtic fans moaning about £10m being too high a fee for a 32 year old Forster and moaning there's no sell-on value is absolutely bizarre. Imagine how angry they'd be if we were linked with Ronaldo or Messi.

Fraz is worth the money although I think Southampton will deal around the 5 mill mark. a hope.

Agree4 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 17:23:04
No sell on value no, but unless you're a shareholder your main concern should be the team on the pitch. My guess is Pistol Pete could get that down to 6-7m. Which I'd gladly pay. Still could be plenty miles in a 32 year old keeper. I agree with what you said the other day though Kev, if Chelsea are sniffing about I wouldn't be that surprised if Forster could push for no.1.

Agree3 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 17:23:08
It's a very important position to fill and he has proved his worth time and time again; therefor, with everything we have to play for, FF must be a priority. It has been customary for the club to make one big sale in the summer, so we may generate funds for FF plus others?

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 18:35:07
I think Big Fraz will need to take a massive hit in wages to make it happen .

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 18:50:48
I reckon it would be 10m well spent. 32 years of age for a goalkeeper is nothing. Would get a good 5/ 6 seasons out of Forster and peace of mind knowing we have someone we can rely on.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 18:58:15
He is not worth it, he didn't stop us going out of Europe, if we don't sort out the midfield, any half decent goalie will win us the League, the reliance on Forster is a reflection that there is something amiss with the rest of the team.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 20:56:47
So keepers whose teams go out of Europe aren't worth good money aindoh?

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 21:19:26
believe it or not teams are aloud to create chances against us.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 21:21:49
Maybe if our cbs defended better we might stay in longer.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 21:22:06
Why only sort out midfield, if there is something amiss with the rest of the team?
As an attacking team, most supporters would feel our goals against are reasonable.
Big Forster is bound to give the whole team confidence as he is such an imposing figure in our goals.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 21:38:36
Aindoh did you not watch the matches against Lazio the big man was instrumental in us going through at the top of the group 🤔.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 21:57:36
Aindoh who would be your expert choice on a keeper as you have slated others choices.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 22:43:22
To say he isn't worth it is ridiculous, He won us the League cup against the dark side. If Gordon or Bain had been in goals, we would have lost that game by 4 or 5 goals.
He also won us both games against Lazio, the first game with that save in the last few seconds was incredible and also the 2 saves in the last few minutes in Rome before we scored the winner.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 22:46:37
There is plenty up and coming keepers, that could grow and mature into outstanding keepers, you are missing my point, do you want to watch another outfield display like the league cup final and have to rely on the goalie or would you rather sort out the midfield, I have said it before, and I will say it again, Scott Brown needs to take a more background role, let the midfield thrive without him, as for keepers, there are just so many better more affordable keepers out there than Forster.

Agree0 Disagree0

18 Jun 2020 08:36:50
aindoh 🤫🤫🤫
He was amazing all season go with his stats big FF Won us the season go and check his saves on games that where close wins for us.
What's going on lads now our midfield at fault the same midfield who win everything for 8/ 10 years.

I think we have maybe 2/ 3 players who have been with us at the start of 9 in a row then the same Celtic board who have bought some gd players to fit in for us to keep winning this.
Hopefully next year its just one team know out then we qualify for the European league.
I believe Liverpool man utd Leicester would all struggle and many others would struggle as well if they had to have 4 european qualifiers home and away before the season starts.

That's the part that is not fair it should be winners of league qualifie european games. So add Al these extra games and it makes it a long season for Celtic players.
Playing qualification games before a season starts is not right sometimes we play teams who's league has started and are up to date match fit. Most teams would struggle just look at that borefest last night players injured not up to speed players had to go off players not up to speed so this proves my point playing qualifiers when not up to speed gets you knocked out 4 qualifiers is out of order. I think if every team had let's say one euro qualifiers they would struggle as the qualifiers are played before league starts.

Imo what's the point if you win a league to qualify for the European league you actually did really qualify, you had to play another 4 qualifiers. just like arsenal who where a borefest if that was a first game back at the start of the season and they needed a euro qualifiers they would have been knocked out by plenty of other so called smaller clubs over the world.

18 Jun 2020 12:07:05
Right aindoh, there is so many better keepers out there than Forster, and would cost less! Name me 3 we could get out of the so many.

18 Jun 2020 12:34:02
Think I mentioned the no sell on value previously. That's not to say I don't think we should sign FF. He's been immense. Just can't see us spending anything like that on a 32 year old goalkeeper. Our model is to buy young up and coming players and hopefully sell them on at a profit. It took us the best part of 20 years to break our 6m transfer record. Hopefully Southampton will deal at a reasonable price and he is willing to take a huge wage cut. If not I'm sure there will be alternatives lined up.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 15:18:22
So finally we know what's happening with the CL Qualifiers. All qualifiers (except the group stage play off) will be decided over 1 game. Whether a team gets drawn home or away is going to be luck of the draw so in theory we could have 3 home games, 3 aways or 2 of 1 and 1 of the other. To be honest I think this is fine, we might do better in one off games. HH.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Jun 2020 17:05:48
Agreed. What'll be interesting is where will we be playing pre-season games to get our sharpness up to speed. Wouldn't surprise me if it's in Scotland against Scottish teams.

Saw this on the Rangers page but thought it was a good question. If there was a Celtic 'Mount Rushmore' who would the 4 faces on it be? I think I'd go for Brother Walfrid, Fergus, Jock Stein. Unsure of the 4th but possibly McNeill, Lennon or Tommy Burns. If it was purely players I'd go for McNeill, Johnstone, Larsson and McStay.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Jun 2020 13:57:08
I’d be happy with the firs three but would definitely go with Tommy Burns or Billy McNiel for the fourth.

17 Jun 2020 14:05:52
I'd have the 3 you mentioned and I would add the 4th with Gil Heron - the first black player, to show that as a club we embrace anyone from any walk of life and are not insular like other clubs.

The SPFL are close to agreeing a £2.3 million compensation deal with BT because the league finished early.
Reports were previously suggesting that SPFL might get SLY down to £1.5 million compensation to be paid over 5 years.
The overall compensation bill might only be a combined £3.8 million.
So much for the panty wetters £10 million dossier claims.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

17 Jun 2020 14:00:14
Both BT and Sky make a feckin fortune and could write off any compensation claims due to the circumstances.

Agree1 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 14:06:35
It might not be the 10 million but in Scottish terms 4million is a big fee especially if the clubs weren’t told about it. It’s still frustrating to see football resume all over Europe but in Scotland were still 5/ 6 weeks away had we been on epl timescale we could have completed season and stop a lot of this nonsense currently going on.

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 15:43:22
Imagine the figures if null and void was agreed. It would have ended the Spfl.

Agree2 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 16:06:03
It was obvious the SPFL would need to compensate the TV companies.
It didn’t take a drummed up dossier to inform us,
You have to pay for a service.

Jim 1972. There is no way we could have finished the season. Teams in Scotland could not afford to test the players the way they do in England.
The English Premiership and Championship are the only 2 leagues who can afford to do this all the other leagues in England have done the same as us in Scotland and put an end to this season.
The lower leagues in England were able to follow the EPL timetable but that doesn't give clubs money they don't have.

Agree0 Disagree0

17 Jun 2020 17:33:30
The testing, safety officers and all the other precautions, would have bankrupted several clubs already struggling to survive.
We don't have sugar-daddy billionaire owners, or SLY bankrolling us like the top tiers in England. We are the quintessential poor relations in football and without Celtic we would be obsolete.

Day 2 of Ascot

Red Bond 1.15 18/ 1 (Sky paying 6 places)
Win O'clock 2.25 8/ 1 (Sky 5 places)
Indeed 3.35 20/ 1 (Sky 7 places)

And because of the 7 places offered I am putting up a HUGE outsider
What's the Story 100/ 1 ( I am on at 125/ 1) this horse has been kind to myself over past 2 years, I DO NOT expect it to win today but a place still gives a healthy return for a SMALL stake.
