Out of curiosity troops, anybody think that mad Mario Balotelli would be an avenue worth exploring? I know he's as mad as a box of frogs, however, if you could get him in an environment where he is loved and needed he could be a sensation.
I also read Brescia would let him leave for free if he found a suitable employer lol.
Definitely cut from the Anelka/ Gasgoine cloth; absolute genius, but deranged š
I can't remember any player single handedly destroying a German side at a tournament. If he could get back to that it would be a win-win.

If he's mad enough to play for Pedro pennies I say get the lad a shirt. Be entertaining if nothing else.

Salary and personal terms would be through the roof.
Heād be a nightmare temperament against the Sevco, similar to the el Buffalo, definitely a no go liability.

When he's on form he's a cracking player. Probably still on stupid wages though.

Imagine him and Lennon in the same dressing room. There would be fireworks, and I don't mean the ones he set off in his bathroom.

Went to see Bordeaux vs Marseille in April, Mario was on the pitch for 5 mins and almost caused a punch up. Worse than an under 16's boy with a chip on his shoulder, stay well away!

{Ed007's Note - No. I think a CB and LW/LM will still come in.}

Why a CB we have Jozo coming back and Elhamed who can play there.

{Ed007's Note - Because we can really rely on those two to stay fit.}

Still think Jozo can do a job ED 007 what about Ian Poveda fae Man City for LM?
Agree0

{Ed007's Note - With Mark Lawwell there you can never rule out a City youth player but the original Italian article where the Poveda link supposedly appeared doesn't seem to mention Celtic. T
he player has already been in Italy for talks with Torino about a move this month whereas Leeds seem to be pushing for a deal for the summer window and Bielsa has spoken personally to Poveda.}
16 Jan 2020 23:37:13
If it were true there is an article there that we have been offered the player with a buy back option. Would be be a good option for us?

If we get a CB hopefully we can move on Simunovic in the summer when he's fully recovered from his operation. Far too unreliable.

I thought we might have revisited the David Turnbull situation again in this window, I think he's still not back from his operation yet but does anyone think we'll still try sign him?

Ive mentioned in previous posts about the difficulty in getting a better player in than we already have.
So with that in mind and unless NL can find a Wanyamma/ VanDyk miracle its looking likely that only a loan player could really make a difference.
So who would you choose guys?
Foden, Barkley, Greenwood, Mata, im just plucking names here but fire away.

I've suggested we try and get Foden on a loan to buy the past two summers. Cracking prospect Rayman. I read not so long ago though, Pep saying that he's definitely go a future at City so it would just be a loan. I honestly thought there might be something in the Wanyama links. He's a bit of a head case, but Ben Arfa on a free? On his day he's top drawer. The right manager can get a tune out of him, like Puel did at Nice. Didn't do too badly last season either. Could certainly provide the creative spark to see us push for the finish line and to be honest he'd tear some SPL defences a new one.

I don't think there's any chance of Foden. According to the talk here in England he's earmarked to replace David Silva who's leaving Man City at the end of the season.

Foden would tear it up playing up here. Wouldn't mind Batshuayi on loan. I'd take Ben Arfa or Mirallas to help out Forrest on the right.

16 Jan 2020 13:04:38
He is the snp man for shettlstone and has said he won't represent anyone who's in the oo and who voted no.
Agree1

{Ed007's Note - That's not really what he said though:
"I am happy to represent every constituent on issues like housing and to discuss all sorts of issues with constituents. However, I will not be speaking up for constituents who want lower taxes, Orange marches, keeping Scotland in the UK, etc. If you are a constituent and have any local or personal issue, I am more than happy to help.
How you voted in the referendum or election is irrelevant. However, if you are asking me to support nuclear weapons, then I am afraid I cannot represent you on that."
He's saying he won't back constituents that try to get him involved in arguments that are pro-anti-Catholic and OO parades or against independence. He's more than happy to help everyone with stuff like housing and crime etc but he won't help people that contact him because their local ant-Catholic parade has been rerouted whilst moaning about AUOB parades.
Would anyone expect an MP who is pro-life to speak up for abortion because they got some e-mails from angry constituents?}

Spot on Ed he didnāt say he wonāt support anybody that was in the Orange Order or who voted no heās more than happy to do that. However the man has the absolute right not to support an issue of conscience particularly that youāve referred to with regard to a person being pro-life which is the best example of why even an elected MP must reserve the right not to support a constituent on any matter with which he or she may have a moral stance. The papers report what the papers report and assume a skewed anti-Catholic position at every opportunity. Scotlandās shame.

How do you read the Daily Record and believe Rangers didn't go into liquidation? I was referring to the moronic element that support the marches etc and will read between the lines using that loosely. who will just assume the headlines that he did say etc. Wasn't directed at you Mally no. I was replying to JFP and no I'm not saying he is a moron either.
