Heard Christie part of the offer too, would rather keep Christie and not overly fussed about Hayes coming.

Agree7 Disagree17

{Ed007's Note - I'd be raging if we swapped Christie for Hayes, that's bonkers. Hayes turns 30 this summer so it's not really following the way Rodgers has been operating in buying younger players to nurture and for me Christie is already a better player than Hayes.}

This story has to be nonsense. Hays is not even a good player. This type of cheap signing will send out the wrong message to the fans. I for one want some real quality players brought in.

{Ed007's Note - I'm with you, DB. It has to be nonsense.}

Had a laugh at the Report I saw this morn Christie plus cash for Hayes. aye right. Christie is better than Hayes so why would we have to give Aberdeen Christie plus cash if anything it would be us getting Hayes plus cash! Non story as usual the media have no idea who we want or will be signing until they are on the Paradise pitch wearing the Hoops.

I really don't get all the fuss with Hayes honestly! I know the hacks and so called pundits like to talk the guy up but for me he's a bang average who wouldn't even get on our bench! We're looking to add quality to our squad and he ain't it!

Bollocks I think BR might sign Hayes as it's a long season and he's a hardy boy suited to Scottish football able to take a kicking or broken jaw with no referee protection. But I think BR still has high hopes for Christie as I do myself. ☘️.

Celtic are on a high and the fans expect a proper signing with champions league experience.

Hayes is 2nd rate playing for a 2nd rate team! Nowhere near good enough for us!

Hayes is a good player for Aberdeen but not Celtic IMO.

Johnny Hayes for Celtic? GTF! Not good enough for our reserves! Paper talk by lazy hacks again. Get used to it, silly summer has started, happens every year.

Celtic to sign Hayes because he scores against us. I'd be very suprised if this deal went through. (hope not)

he would be a good squad player anyone who says he's a crap player must have missed the raspers he scores against us all the time usually from about 30 yards.

(Hit send too early) . Newcastle keen on the player too. There's been rumours of Armstrong having a few down in England sniffing around, Sviatchenko to Leicester rumour, interest in Bailly as well. Also read today that Commons, Ambrose, Allen, Ciftci, GMS are all but done with the club. Are all these genuine of paper talk to unsettle the club? And where do we stand with these transfers at the moment. Would be good if we can quickly get the players moved that Rodgers doesn't want here before bringing new ones in as that will give us a few more quid to play with. Also any update on VVD transfer too?

Just thought i'd share what i heard on Saturday when dropping off a spare ticket to the owner of the pub we drink in on match days. He's fairly well connected with goings on inside Celtic and it supposedly came from the son of a director that there is a real possibility that Wayne Rooney will be a Celtic player next season. Wouldn't normally bother posting this kind of stuff you here in pubs but with it coming from this source there might be something in it. Mind you he did also say Scott McDonald is going to the dark side, surely not.

Sorry to hound you like some obsessed stalker on this, Ed, but I just read that apparently Celtic and City have agreed a deal for Roberts and it's now up to him to decide if he wants to come back.
Do you know if there is any truth in this?
Thanks matey.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I've said all along that the only stumbling block could be City's demands and it looks like they are happy for Roberts to move here permanently as long as there is a buy back clause in the deal.}

29 May 2017 14:57:13
Do you have any ballpark ideas of a price for the clause? Is it usually around the selling price?

Agree1 Disagree1

{Ed007's Note - I don't buddy, sorry.}
