celtic linked with johnny hayes.

1.) 29 May 2017 13:22:03
Heard Christie part of the offer too, would rather keep Christie and not overly fussed about Hayes coming.

{Ed007's Note - I'd be raging if we swapped Christie for Hayes, that's bonkers. Hayes turns 30 this summer so it's not really following the way Rodgers has been operating in buying younger players to nurture and for me Christie is already a better player than Hayes.}

2.) 29 May 2017 13:37:49
This story has to be nonsense. Hays is not even a good player. This type of cheap signing will send out the wrong message to the fans. I for one want some real quality players brought in.

{Ed007's Note - I'm with you, DB. It has to be nonsense.}

3.) 29 May 2017 13:58:48
A heard it was gms that was the swap plus cash christie looked good ladt few outings av seen him.

{Ed007's Note - I think GMS will end up down south.}

4.) 29 May 2017 16:33:19
Had a laugh at the Report I saw this morn Christie plus cash for Hayes. aye right. Christie is better than Hayes so why would we have to give Aberdeen Christie plus cash if anything it would be us getting Hayes plus cash! Non story as usual the media have no idea who we want or will be signing until they are on the Paradise pitch wearing the Hoops.

5.) 29 May 2017 17:17:36
I really don't get all the fuss with Hayes honestly! I know the hacks and so called pundits like to talk the guy up but for me he's a bang average who wouldn't even get on our bench! We're looking to add quality to our squad and he ain't it!

6.) 29 May 2017 18:51:52
Bollocks I think BR might sign Hayes as it's a long season and he's a hardy boy suited to Scottish football able to take a kicking or broken jaw with no referee protection. But I think BR still has high hopes for Christie as I do myself. ☘️.

7.) 29 May 2017 19:13:22
Celtic are on a high and the fans expect a proper signing with champions league experience.

8.) 29 May 2017 20:05:09
Hayes is 2nd rate playing for a 2nd rate team! Nowhere near good enough for us!

9.) 29 May 2017 20:53:11
Hayes is a good player for Aberdeen but not Celtic IMO.

10.) 29 May 2017 23:35:27
Johnny Hayes for Celtic? GTF! Not good enough for our reserves! Paper talk by lazy hacks again. Get used to it, silly summer has started, happens every year.

09 May 2017 14:22:31
any truth in these solanke rumours?

1.) 09 May 2017 16:42:05
According to the Snide he has told friends he is going to Liverpool in the summer but don't know if that is true.

03 May 2017 18:30:53
hartley at lennoxtown today at the invitation of rodgers.

14 Apr 2017 18:26:33
strong rumours that one of the signings in the summer is going to cost 8m and that we've all heard of this player.

1.) 14 Apr 2017 21:47:20
I've heard that we have watched Jack Grealish on a few occations this year. I wouldn't think he would cost us £8m but would be a decent addition.

{Ed007's Note - Callum McGregor is a better player - and a better professional - than Jack Grealish.}

2.) 14 Apr 2017 22:18:30
heard we are looking to take jack wilshire.

{Ed007's Note - The coke dealers of Glasgow will be delighted to hear that!}

3.) 14 Apr 2017 22:41:18
haha that they will mate.

{Ed007's Note - Keep me up to date, I've made a few bob from my Tena shares and looking to reinvest some budo.}

4.) 14 Apr 2017 22:22:56
@jb67 - it's Barrie McKay!

5.) 14 Apr 2017 22:36:44
What u heard JB? Hope your rite mate. just hope we're all not building our selfs up for a massive disappointment! Think it's different with Brendan in charge but and he'll try as hard as he can to bring in the highest quality he can! Really like it to be a quality attacking midfielder! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻.

6.) 15 Apr 2017 00:33:01
In fairness McKay does have potential and at a good club with a good manager he could do well. So not Rangers then. Could maybe put in a cheeky bid of 2 empty gingey bottles and a packet of monster munch - probably be accepted!

{Ed007's Note - I'd rather sign Stephen Hawking than McKay, he's absolutely honking and miles behind players we've got in our Development Squad.}

7.) 15 Apr 2017 09:24:26
Jack grealish not for me attitude shocking and ad agree wee mcgregor is better.

8.) 15 Apr 2017 10:03:32
Stephen Hawking would certainly put a new meaning to the black hole when playing across town .

9.) 15 Apr 2017 12:23:06
How can we know the cost and not the name? Teasing us there JB. I think we will perhaps finally see PL's "6-8m" player this summer. I think we'll have people here now who will actually be able to find the value rather than just talk about it.

Funniest thing you've said all season UJ. How is Scottish football's most gifted talent doing? Picked himself off the three-goal mark yet?

10.) 15 Apr 2017 12:38:22
Shelvey from Newcastle? Cheaper alternative to Sigurdsson. Not actually heard anything just a player I like.

11.) 15 Apr 2017 18:48:47
Newcastle are my second side AG. And right now, I wouldn't split Brown and Armstrong for Shelvey. Good player though. Can pick a pass, which is what Rodgers is said he's looking for. I think it will be a player who ays a bit further up though, more of a CAM.

12.) 15 Apr 2017 18:32:52
guy who told me on coaching staff.

13.) 15 Apr 2017 18:45:08
If they do the job on the pitch I don't care how much they cost however I would prefer us to unearth another cheap gem than pay over the odds for someone remember we paid collectively 1 million for Larsson, Moravcik, and Agathe.

14.) 15 Apr 2017 18:50:37
Nice to see you making a few coins from the "share tip" I gave you lol

If you are looking for another one try this 88e waiting on (wink, wink) drilling info from Oz jumped double digits last week percentage wise still don't have the cahoonas to do a Timalloy and pipe up about horses even though a gave you the winner of the grand nat too!

12 Apr 2017 12:19:39
Reports in the media that rodgers is to be handed a budget of 15m in the summer?

1.) 12 Apr 2017 13:07:17
I'm not overly fussed how much we shell out in transfer fees as long as we spend wisely and ambitiously.

{Ed007's Note - I never believe these type of stories, there's far too many factors involved to believe they are accurate, does the £15 million include agent fees and signing on fees? What about wages etc?

What is paid by the buying club would typically include:

(a) Transfer fee - the big number.
(b) Any levy applied by the local FA – 5% for the EPL.
(c) Tax due on the transfer fee – typically this will be VAT (at varying rates across Europe) some or all of which should be reclaimable.
(d) Agent fees – this may be to one or more agents.
(e) Tax due on the agent fees – typically this is VAT at the local rate where the agent bills from – it is not reclaimable.
(f) Intermediary fees – this may be to one or more sponging leeches(what do you mean you have a super agent?) .
(g) Tax due on the Intermediary fees – typically this is VAT at the local rate where the Intermediary bills from – it is not reclaimable.
(h) Signing on fee to the player (possibly including non-reclaimable VAT if the player is VAT registered).
(i) Legal fees.
(j) VAT on legal fees which is reclaimable.
(k) Moving/relocation costs for the player.
(l) VAT on moving/relocation costs which is reclaimable.
(m) Paying up insurance costs to the selling club (sometimes waived).
(n) Variables and tax on variables which may or may not be reclaimable) – these would typically include legal fees, moving/relocation costs, etc....

Are all these costs coming out of the £15 million?}

2.) 12 Apr 2017 15:26:38
We could get 30 Dembeles for that, or a third of Andy Carrol. It's about finding the right player and being able to attract them instead of "we have x to spend". I would rather Celtic increased their wage budget and paid the 3 or 4 top players 35-40k a week instead of a splurge on transfer fees. They have always said they wouldn't break the wage structure but given the current strong finances they could afford to do it if the player has sell on value.

3.) 12 Apr 2017 15:47:50
i'll settle for a playmaker, a centre half, an enforcer in midfield, a striker and a winger, i'm not asking for much lol.

{Ed033's Note - An enforcer/striker; do you mean someone like Conor McGregor?

4.) 12 Apr 2017 17:59:49
there was a comma between them ed, so its 2 different players, a roy keane type alongside a lubo type, again im not asking for much haha.

5.) 12 Apr 2017 22:15:34
Ooooooooo a comma, that's u telt ed.

6.) 13 Apr 2017 11:38:43
can't beat a good catholic education steph lol.

7.) 13 Apr 2017 11:57:13
James the ed was only joking , stop taking yourself so seriously 😡.

8.) 13 Apr 2017 15:29:33

sinclair won player of the year, tierney young player of the year and rodgers manager of the year.

1.) 08 May 2017 01:21:02
Dembele also got Goal of the season! To all the rest of you thanks for coming.

2.) 08 May 2017 05:12:22
When the nominations were announced, I thought MD was an absolute certainty - but when listening to the BBC Sportsound Podcast, they revealed that the players aren't actually told who is eligible/ of age, it's up to them to know, and that would have almost certainly counted against MD in the run up.

Not that KT didn't deserve it, especially as he missed 1/ 3rd through injury, I just thought it interesting!

3.) 08 May 2017 11:56:06
and dembele won goal of the year.

4.) 08 May 2017 17:30:46
And Jozo won tackle of the year!

27 Apr 2017 18:23:44
rodgers has just said that moussa could be fit for the final.

12 Apr 2017 20:34:01
collum to ref semi final, we better train to play with 10 men now then.

1.) 12 Apr 2017 21:51:20
Or 11 versus 12 in training! Collum without doubt is one of the most incompetent sorry exuse for a referee I've ever witnessed! But it still won't save them come 12 on the 23rd! Nothing and nobody will stop the treble!

2.) 12 Apr 2017 21:53:26
JB67, just because we're paranoid doesn't mean they're not out to get us brother! 👍☘️.

3.) 13 Apr 2017 07:42:09
Its worrying that when the referee for a Celtic game is announced there genuinely isn't one ref who I'd prefer was doing it. There must be a way of training games better.

I'd say Clancy is about the most clueless, so possibly the fairest as he's usualmy bad for both teams!

4.) 13 Apr 2017 11:33:57
this is a clown who gives them penalties when he's looking the other way and didn't even see it happening, he's a soup taker into the bargain there's nothing worse than a turncoat jfp.

5.) 13 Apr 2017 21:20:40
We did beat them 5-1 when he refereed the last time he was in charge. Maybe he can be a gd luck charm 😂.

04 Apr 2017 17:14:34
no moussa or griffiths again tomorrow night.

1.) 04 Apr 2017 17:22:21
Now the title is wrapped up I'd really like to see JA get a shot up top.

2.) 04 Apr 2017 19:44:22
Agree JT, JA should start would also like to see Brown, KT, Lustig, rested. Izzy, Eboue, Gamboa could fit in easily.

3.) 04 Apr 2017 22:42:09
I'd particularly like to see Eboue get some games under his belt as well. He'll need them. We'll probably see Toure and GMS getting on a few times, I think they're the only two players who can still qualify for a medal, that haven't yet.

4.) 04 Apr 2017 23:18:07
Would forget about going through the season unbeaten, is better to blood some of the younger players and see what they are made off.

{Ed007's Note - We can do both I reckon, crabitface ;) Just don't make drastic changes and go full gung ho and we're more than capable of continuing the run.
I agree that it's not really THAT important but it would be a nice and we have came this far now it's got to be worth giving it a go.}

5.) 05 Apr 2017 14:23:57
Let's blood them slowly and get them involved in the record breaking. I would love to win the league by 32 points. Also need to keep the momentum going and power through to the treble. HAIL hail 4 to go.
