Sorry guys typed that walking home from chapel didn't realise Sutton had already stated it would be Roberts a was so excited when told a typed in before reading the messages! Here's hoping but the guy that's said it will know and said the paperworks been sorted and there's nothing at all that can hold up paperwork for atleast 1 of the players.

2.) 15 Aug 2017 20:52:09
Hope u r right Campsie bhoy. Even Chris Sutton said he is going to sign tonight.

3.) 15 Aug 2017 20:53:46
Lots of stories flying about. Just need one in before 11. That's all we're asking for today.

Could've been done a little sooner right enough, it's a bit tiring.

4.) 15 Aug 2017 21:00:33
Well campsie u won't have to wait long to take your medicine! lol. hope your rite but mate 😉😉👍🏻👍🏻.

5.) 15 Aug 2017 21:21:31
What is the point in getting anybody in unless it's wee patrick7 no one else will know our system movement or there team mates so unless it is paddy 💚 Bhoy I. Not really bothering cause a total newbie will b a bombscare hh 3-0 tomorrow 💚💚💚.

{Ed007's Note - Even if Roberts - or anyone else - signs tonight don't expect him to be included in the squad for tomorrow mate.}

6.) 15 Aug 2017 21:38:52
Point is whoever will be available for second leg.

7.) 15 Aug 2017 21:57:18
Was thinking that Ed cause after tactics and movement against this lot the only Bhoy in the acendancy will b current squad but like yourself I'm expecting a 2 or 3 nil heavy pounding heart and sweaty to get it but that's what it's all about HH 💚.

8.) 15 Aug 2017 22:21:56
We are going with what we have. Just hope next Tuesday night we don't regret it.

9.) 15 Aug 2017 22:23:58
If It's Roberts he will play I'd wager. He's fit and he improves us.

10.) 15 Aug 2017 21:57:18

11.) 15 Aug 2017 22:33:17
Roberts could walk into the team - anyone else, wouldn't be included.

{Ed007's Note - As far as I know Roberts is still in Spain, you'd expect him to fly in early morning and play tomorrow - no chance.}

12.) 15 Aug 2017 22:34:35
Heard Rivaldo Coetzee has signed.

13.) 15 Aug 2017 23:24:24
I should have known it was a load of Pish when I read 110%. Not being possible to be 110% certain shoukd have tipped me of to the lack of voracity.

what lead you to this untenable level of certainty anyway? It never happened so you can grass up your 110% crap source. :)

14.) 15 Aug 2017 23:28:48
110% campsie bhoy, papers have been sorted! I definitely smell Shoite 💩💩👃🏻👃🏻🙈🙈😂😂😂😂😂😂😂.

15.) 15 Aug 2017 23:45:07
I'll back Campsie up here! He's heard off some one worth posting about that we were in the mix for someone, by probably someone employed by Celtic as he stays literally a stones throw away from Lennoxtown! Unfortunately it hasn't come off. So he AND Chris Sutton for that matter aren't bullshitting. It just hasn't come off. So thank you Campsie for putting your rumour up on the Celtic Rumours page! I'm sure your prediction shall materialise in the next day or so but we have missed the deadline (and not for the first time)

16.) 15 Aug 2017 23:49:15
Great to see all the quality signing we were told by all at celtic that we were going to sign and have in for the champions league qualifies! Typical celtic with a number cheap average at best players ( city lad exception ) before anyone says anything. Russian roulette by the board again to all the celtic support. Be it on there head if this goes badly wrong for us. So annoyed with all this!

17.) 16 Aug 2017 00:54:33
I reckon we've been between a rock and a hard place when it comes to Roberts and we have had to wait to this point due to Roberts and not the Board. I'm with Ed on the fact CB wise we are short at the moment exactly the same with ST. But we've been unlucky with injuries! In a perfect world Sviatchenko wouldn't of got injured a most likely been sold then new CB would be sweet. During qualifying is a bitch but signing another CB now would leave us bloated in that position when Sviatchenko and Boyata return which is exactly what BR was brought in to trim (and trim he has) I also think folk forget how hard it was keeping LG and Moussa happy last season so I think think the chat of a 3rd ST is not wise. I mean Cifti is rank and Aitchison is young but who you going to get better for 3rd ST (if top 2 are fit there ain't even a bench position for this 3rd ST)

18.) 16 Aug 2017 04:51:49
Hands up lads was very confident on the person it came from! We all contribute to an excellent forum and it has came from someone very close to Celtic.

19.) 16 Aug 2017 17:01:48

Don't envy your work Ed having to read all the garbage that's being written it must be horrendous it's amazing all those that have came out the woodwork and those who aren't bothered about football all of a sudden know celtic got beat. Last nights gone it's about how we now move forward as a team. We all know we are weak at RB and Centre Half we have also lost Armstrong who chipped in with a few goals so he needs replaced PR done nothing last season and I'm happy he won't be returning. Good luck to the bhoy. It's over to the board now do they trust BR with money or do they want to rest and hope we somehow win the league again in danger of the team stagnating.

Campsie Bhoy

1.) 15 Aug 2018 09:06:35
Surely it was over to the board last month. In football there is not much point being reactive, it’s usually too late by then.

2.) 15 Aug 2018 09:29:54
I’ve not seen much garbage written on here. What I find strange is the reluctance of some people ( not all ) that don’t like critisism. That starting 11 last night had 9 players that all played under RD. That to me isn’t a team with rodgers stamp on it. Sure he’s came in, some players have stepped their game up but others haven’t. Everyone accepts this is the double treble winners, invincible etc, that will never be taken away from them but at a competitive European level they’re not good enough especially in defence. 3 goals over 2 legs AEK scored and everyone of them was handed on a plate. The defence is rotten it’s that simple. Gamboa, been here 2 years and can’t get in ahead of a poor lustig, jozo not good enough and clearly isn’t rated by rodgers when hendry and ajer both with limited European experience play ahead of him. The only quality defender we have is Tierney. Boyata is an out and our disgrace. What does Lee Congerton bring to the table? 2 years that clowns been here and for all we’ve brought in ntcham, Sinclair, dembele ( who I think was on RD’s radar anyway) and now Edouard. He’s also had a hand in bringing in de vries, hendry, gamboa, comper, not one decent defender amongst them. Never mind looking at more midfielders/ strikers 2 new Cb’s a RB are a necessity ASAP. and if this is me hitting the panic button etc then fine, Celtic fans don’t need the press to point out our failings, they’re glaring obvious for all to see.

3.) 15 Aug 2018 10:31:59
Gerry we have all been crying out for a RB and a CH for a few seasons if we can all see it surely BR and the board can. Who’s to say Lee Congerton or BR have not identified targets and the board have not went after them? Celtic never strengthen when we are on top it’s as if we wait for teams to improve. Some of BR signings have been terrible but not every signing will be a success. RB CH And Attacking Mid for me, Rogic is not European level.

4.) 15 Aug 2018 10:56:18
Campsie hoy your right, Celtic over the years are renowned for not building on success, but like you say and everyone knows, we’ve been screaming out for a solid if not 2 CB’s for long enough, we’ve been screaming out for a new RB, are we seriously expected to believe we can afford £9 million on an untried 20 year old striker but have no money to strengthen that defence? I’m sorry but the way Brendan goes on about boyata you’d think he was his love child, boyata is a bombscare of a defender and always has been from the day he arrived at the club, and if that’s the best that we can attract to Celtic then boy we really are in trouble.

5.) 15 Aug 2018 15:24:01
Rangers have no monry but hsve still managed to give SG something like £6mill to nuy new players on top of £8mill given to Pedro last year. Our net spend is well below Rangers.

15 Jul 2018 18:03:17
Another Fantastic decision by VAR ashame for Croatia fantastic example of a small country with wonderfully technically gifted players.

Campsie Bhoy

1.) 15 Jul 2018 18:31:53
I know the player didn't deliberately hand ball but there was a clear hand to ball so correct decision in my opinion.

2.) 15 Jul 2018 18:59:53
Please tell me you are joking? Anyone who has played any level of football will know that is never a penalty. Total joke. Same as the decision for the free kick for the 1st goal. Red made a howler.

3.) 15 Jul 2018 19:25:41
I don't think it was a penalty but it might have been given because it changed the direction of the ball.

4.) 15 Jul 2018 20:05:24
I agree about the free kick as griezman dived but on the replay of the penalty you see the player pull his arm down towards the ball so it was hand to ball. However, as I said I don't think it was deliberate but the rule says hand to ball is a penalty and that is why it was given.

5.) 15 Jul 2018 20:21:35
The rules say if there is a deliberate movement of ball to hand then it’s a penalty. He brings his arm down but not to handle the ball. Never a pen in a million years and if it went against us we would be ragin.

6.) 15 Jul 2018 20:47:13
Never never never a pen. His are is going that way naturally. He had his eyes closed as well.

7.) 15 Jul 2018 21:01:39
I didn’t think it was a pen and it was never a free kick in a million years. How it took the ref that length of time to make a decision is unreal he has to be certain of course but he even went back again to check.

8.) 15 Jul 2018 21:05:02
I bet if you asked most refs they would have gave that as a penalty because the hand moved towards the ball.

9.) 15 Jul 2018 21:24:29
Most refs are the wee boys last picked at football or never picked hence the reason they gets decisions wrong. They don’t make them from a players perspective, they make them from technicalities.

10.) 15 Jul 2018 21:55:34
Yeah, but the hand changed the direction of the ball, and prevented a goal scoring opportunity, have they not changed the law in these circumstances, making it a penalty, leaving the ref with little choice, because if it was a deliberate hand ball, would it not have been a red card offence,?, .

11.) 15 Jul 2018 22:03:54
interesting comments but imo his hand went down in direction of the ball and his palm was turned outwards. Had he kept a fist then maybe not a penalty but the flat palm changed the direction of the ball and I have to agree with refs decision.

12.) 15 Jul 2018 23:46:32
That’s the problem, the final decision still lies with the referee, the VAR doesn’t make the decision it’s there to assist the referee, so you can’t blsme VAR, blame the referee.

13.) 16 Jul 2018 00:47:14
I thought the referee was harsh on Croatia throughout the game .
Ref shouldn't have got the game anyway, he was once suspended for giving a wrong penalty decision . Surely, for the biggest game in World football every 4 years there are thousands of referees who are not tainted by suspension available to ref.

{Ed007's Note - VAR's got it covered, Chis. Every decision in the World Cup was 100% spot on becuse VAR was used to back up any mistakes.}

14.) 16 Jul 2018 08:03:56
How could it not have been 100%, with 40 refs and 200 replays on top of it!

15.) 16 Jul 2018 12:12:42
He slapped the ball its a penalty kick, we would all have claimed for it.

16.) 16 Jul 2018 20:47:34
It was 100% a penalty. He never took his eye off the ball once and when it deflected he just reacted with his hand to slap the ball.

One of those when you handle it and wonder why you done it, like a reflex.

I think mostly people were more swayed to being annoyed about the decision because it went against the underdogs and many wanted Croatia to put up more of a fight.

France were just too good though overall. The France vs Belgium game was always the real final.

17.) 16 Jul 2018 22:05:02
Bullsh! t it was never deliberate. Al watch it again bur I'm sure his eyes were closed when it hit his hand.

18.) 16 Jul 2018 23:18:36
Ed, Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit, but you wouldn't be sarcastic.

Why did it take the Var ( Commitee) so long in deciding to ask the referee to have a look . There mustn't have been agreement and it must have went to a vote . The must have used proportional representation to get the result . I would have thought that the fact it took them so long and the referee twice and also ages, there must have been some doubt .
If Var has a future, they have to speed up the decision making, slow decisions give so much time to get wrong decision.

{Ed007's Note - Chris I've never been a fan and made that clear all along, I think the fact the World Cup final was decided by a dodgy free kick, a dodgy offside and a dodgy penalty justififies my stance. The fact people are still debating VAR's decisions proves that it is not - and never will be - 100% right and it is still only down to opinion.
Andrew Dallas and Willie Collum should petition FIFA to roll it out in Scotland to show the world how accurate it is. Who needs honest mistakes when the ref can watch replays and then decide not to give a penalty anyway?}

19.) 17 Jul 2018 00:11:19
but the attitude there ED is wrong. People are clearly expecting too much from VAR too soon.

expecting it to be 100%

but actually people should be asking is there improvements.

based on this world cup, the vast majority of decisions which were overturned were correct.

with only a couple still arguable/ wrong. So aye VAR will still result in an individual ref making the wrong choice

but you are saying to throw it away altogether because of that. What I'm saying is stop being so negative and ask yourself the positives.

how many decisions were correct using VAR vs wrong? the answer is a lot more were correct. So that is improvement.

nobody is saying perfect but it's progress.

{Ed007's Note - But there was still wrong decisions so overall what was the point? They got some right and they got some wrong - exactly the same as refs.
How many mistakes was The World Cup Final decided on? It was overall a disaster just like it was proven to be in Germany.
Just like fans in the stands, viewers at home, ex players, ex-refs and pundits in the studio, journalists and my Mrs, it's just opinion. And people will argue until they get the decision that suits their personal opinion.}

20.) 17 Jul 2018 18:33:40
The thing that I hoped Var wouldn't do was remove all debate from decisions in and around penalty area . Thank God it didn't .
As an old timer I always thought a good bit of fun in going to a match was the discussion afterwards about an offside decision, a tackle, fair or unfair, inside outside the box .
Thank God we probably won't have certainty or finish up with remote control football

Of course VAR in Scotland would be a complete disaster . The brothers would share top jobs around them.

25 Jun 2018 20:51:33
How horrendous is this VAR pi££

Campsie Bhoy

1.) 25 Jun 2018 21:17:22
ruining the game when a ref like that is in controle. 5 mins to make wrong decision.

2.) 25 Jun 2018 22:14:34
Shocking even the Ronaldo booking was pathetic it’s not even consistent.

3.) 25 Jun 2018 22:16:29
Would it be better if the four refs that review the video evidence, back on the mothership, were left with the final decision, so it was taken out of the match day refs hands, and the pressure would be taken of him, as in that instance, when he should have sent Ronaldo off, but he bottled it.

4.) 25 Jun 2018 22:34:03
It’s unreal mate they have all those refs sat in a room watching replays then still get the game ref to make final decision.

5.) 25 Jun 2018 23:26:10
People just love to moan tbh, but the vast majority of decisions has been called correctly.

there have been numerous dives, penalties and offside decisions correctly overturned from the original decision.

not a good word said about it then, but if 1 bad decision happens people want to criticise.

So what would people prefer? just scrap VAR and allow 5 horrendus and incorrect calls by refs? just to avoud the odd mistake from it?

fact is that it's bringing poor decisions down.

6.) 26 Jun 2018 04:13:01
If players didn’t dive/ cheat as much there wouldn’t be a need for it.

7.) 26 Jun 2018 06:05:57
Take it you guys didn’t watch the Portugal game last night? Would you be happy for it in all games now? How can 10 refs and umpteen replays they still get the wrong decision they must have done there badges at hampden.

8.) 26 Jun 2018 07:37:37
Words fail me. That was a shambles last night. Get VAR consigned to the history bin as a bad experiment.

9.) 26 Jun 2018 09:26:49
It's still down to personal interpretation and human error (not to mention honest mistakes when it comes here) .
All it has done is delay games, put more pressure on referees, by making them doubt their own judgement and encouraged some players to 'try it on' and take liberties.
Of course most of the decisions have been correct - when viewed from umpteen angles and varying slo-mo replays, but a good few now have still been wrong and cost games.
This VAR is an elitist toy, complicating the 'Simple Game' even more.

10.) 26 Jun 2018 10:26:27
That's fine, but the vast majority of decisions using VAR have been correct this summer and that's undeniable.

If you are happy to get rid of VAR and stick with old ways then don't complain when refs get a decision wrong with only a split second to decide.

VAR is in testing stages just now, so for people to expect it to come in and be totally perfect is just ridiculously unrealistic.

Yet what it has done is overturned wrong decisions the whole tournament, yet where are the people praising it then?

It's not fair to just criticise, it deserves praise when it works also but people were wanting on it failing before it even got tried.

11.) 26 Jun 2018 10:57:50
If we had to use VAR in our midweek games we would all miss the last bus home.
