Rumour is Wyke is considering an offer from Celtic along with Forest, Swansea and others.

Might not be a stellar signing but on a free could be a shrewd signing he's been banging the goals in and looks a handful. 6ft 2" scores a lot with his head and always on the end of crosses. We've not really had that type of striker since big Jan.

Would hope we still try get a marquee signing up front still.

bravetart86

1.) 10 Jun 2021 09:25:34
We do need another dimension to our striking options whether it be Wykes or another target man option.

2.) 10 Jun 2021 11:21:13
If he gets on the end of crosses then now we need to find a player who can cross a ball! Lol.

3.) 10 Jun 2021 13:18:32
Would be an ideal plan B with teams that park the bus or a partner to someone else up front not sure what formation big Ange likes to play maybe Buzz can look into that. Lol AB good point there 🤣.

4.) 10 Jun 2021 14:00:21
Watched his goals from last season on YouTube. Penalty box striker lots with the noggin.

5.) 10 Jun 2021 15:56:15
Read that he prefers a 433 but also uses a 4321. Likes his full backs to bomb forward and cross and his wingers to cut inside.

Someone asked Laxalt when he was streaming Fortnight if he had met Eddie How yet and he said "No no, Tomorrow" found this rather odd as he didn't look like he was on the wind up.

bravetart86

1.) 30 Mar 2021 12:49:14
Probably thought he meant eddy as in edouard.

11 Jan 2021 11:24:22
Alfie Doughty looks like he'll be joining Stoke this window. Yet another transfer we're losing out on. He maybe decided on Stoke as they seemed more keen in signing him by offering him a deal in January instead of a pre contract.

bravetart86

1.) 11 Jan 2021 11:55:44
Yeah and also looking at our club, who in right mind would come here now. Its been happening for a while, why do all good things just up and go, only looking now, you realise that's probably why rodgers left, fed up of lawell the clown acting the big man. Utter shambles.

Reports saying Celtic could listen to offers for Elhamed as his family have all gone back to Isreal and he's here alone. You heard anything Ed?

bravetart86

{Ed007's Note - I didn't think Elhamed's family moved over here and there's always a chance of a player not settling when that happens. Add in his injuries and poor form then it's probably for the best he moves on.}

1.) 09 Dec 2020 16:21:04
Shame as he had a couple of solid performances at the start before the Fenerbace mistake. Ah well; maybe another one bites the dust?
We could well have a brand new team in 2021?

2.) 09 Dec 2020 17:54:02
Hopefully we get the RB issue sorted this time and don't look for a loan.

3.) 10 Dec 2020 16:42:57
Any players we get in January should be loans. This will allow any new manager to completely rebuild the squad in the summer.
The players who want to leave will be gone as hopefully will be the board and PL.
We can start from scratch and begin to rebuild the team into a 10 in a row side.

12 Oct 2020 19:05:26
It's been confirmed Elhameds test has came back positive so he'll have to isolate in Israel. Some run of bad luck for us in the lead up to this person game.

bravetart86

1.) 12 Oct 2020 20:33:34
And the many other games beyond that

Hope he recovers and that there are no adverse lasting impacts.

2.) 12 Oct 2020 21:22:49
Yeah Speedy recovery too both of them. Question if a player gets hurt during international duty the club I am sure gets compensation from the relevant football association? Does that include C.V. also?

3.) 12 Oct 2020 22:50:02
The Milan game is the bigger concern Lubo. Would have liked a full strength team to get off to a good start in that group.

4.) 12 Oct 2020 23:12:06
Dont know, I think the compensation links in to insurances

Not sure about C.V. premiums would be mega.

5.) 13 Oct 2020 02:46:18
I would like to think so as its the national team that put them at risk.

6.) 13 Oct 2020 05:17:52
Bravetart how is the ac game the bigger concern the rangers game has a lot more at stake than a Europa game specially this year Europe is a total irrelevance to me .

7.) 13 Oct 2020 07:35:50
D&P I totally agree. We're going to be lucky to finish 3rd in the group and to me winning the 10 is the most important thing this season. You can see how much it means to the other mob by how they are throwing every penny they can gather at trying to stop us winning 10 it even if it throws them into debt they might not be able to recover from. The Rangers 3rd coming up lol.

8.) 13 Oct 2020 08:01:29
Can’t agree that a game in the EL is bigger than Saturdays game! I would 100 % take a fully fit squad for Saturday over any EL game!

9.) 13 Oct 2020 11:43:58
If players are getting CV playing in internations, should they be playing in Europa league games?

10.) 13 Oct 2020 12:52:09
Players aren't getting C.V. playing in internationals. Given the incubation period is up to two weeks, the players likely contracted the virus 7-14 days prior to testing positive. Given our last game was 04/ 10, its a fair assessment that any of our players who have tested positive between then and the 18th of October caught it in Glasgow.

Any player that catches it on international duty is likely to test positive AFTER they have returned to their clubs.

It would be interesting to know if any St J or Sarajevo players have tested positive. Or indeed any of the Scotland team who were in contact with Elhamed.

11.) 13 Oct 2020 12:58:58
It's only the first derby of the season. It's all just merely bragging rights for me this early in the season. Once Europe sorts itself out we always come back and blow everyone else away. It's not that I don't want us to go out and pump them Saturday as it would be a good psychological blow to them if we are top with a game in hand, but if we don't then it's way too early to be panty wetting.

12.) 13 Oct 2020 13:03:44
And Europa is of some concern as financially it's income we could do with as we are losing millions not having fans in the stadium.

13.) 13 Oct 2020 15:33:22
The game at the weekend is more important than any Euro game what if the season gets suspended like last season and the rangers are top at that point the powers that be would not hesitate in awarding them the title.

{Ed007's Note - Even though "the powers that be" (the SPFL board) lost the vote to give them the power to do that?}

14.) 13 Oct 2020 18:38:05
The team we will put out should still be good enough to compete against Sevco as we always boast about having the best squad but probably not so much with Milan that's the point I was trying to make. Whether people think it's important or not as a fan I hate the maulings we get in Europe. Would be a nice scalp to take even if they aren't as good as they once was.

15.) 13 Oct 2020 18:38:54
Agree though Big D they'll all be screaming for an early finish this season if they're slightly ahead in the league lol.

16.) 13 Oct 2020 20:03:04
Mark 76, internationals is higher risk than European club games

Why?

Well if the Celtic bubble flew to milan ( 1 flight ) and played AC who have their own bubble, the risk between that and domestic is 1 flight, and of course the return flight creates issues too

In an international, around 60 players have to fly from all over the world to the pre match camp and then fly to the venue for the match . that's dozens of flights and higher risk

On that basis, internationals are higher risk as the uncontrollables are plentiful.

17.) 13 Oct 2020 21:53:32
You've also got to ask yourself if the airlines are sanitizing their planes well enough to prevent the possibility of the virus lurking anywhere within the plane. You're on a flight between an hour and 10 (? ) so there's a very real danger it could be there, especially as the airline industry is being financially savaged and cost cuts right left and central.

18.) 14 Oct 2020 15:11:13
You don’t want to hammer them bravetart lol every time we play them I want them embarrassed and bossed off the park .

19.) 15 Oct 2020 13:11:05
Where did I say I don't want to hammer them? I've already explained the point I tried to make and you're misreading what I've said clearly.

Hi Ed is "Peace be upon him" inbound? 🤣.

bravetart86

{Ed007's Note - Let's hope not!}

17 May 2021 19:40:03
Just watching the Bournemouth/ Brentford playoff as we will naturally be linked to their players if Howe is to be announced. CB Cook looked good before going off injured. Begovic has made the 3rd most saves in the championship this season so could be a decent signing on a free. The one that's stood out to me which is a problem area for us is Danjuma. Left winger 15 goals and 7 assists and scored tonight too. Boy looks a cracking player.

bravetart86

{Ed007's Note - Both Begovic and Cook's contract runs until 2022.}

1.) 17 May 2021 20:19:17
I read on here Begovic was available in the summer, My bad. I'd take all 3 but our budget will be stretched. One player of note Rico Henry we was linked with as Tierneys replacement. Seems like we saved ourselves a few quid with that one.

2.) 17 May 2021 21:46:55
Think Bournemouth paid over 13 million for danjuma. Safely say that will be out of our league, cost wise .

3.) 18 May 2021 11:27:45
Goalkeeper would be my priority.
We have been dreadful this season but we also had a bunch of players who were not comfortable with the guy at the back.
When big FF was in goal he COMMANDED the box,

Looks like a 10 year old wrote the law haha so I doubt it but you never no.

02 May 2021 14:08:59
Probably the most flattering derby scoreline I've ever witnessed in my lifetime. Moi, Ajer, Turnbull all missed sitters. Forrest and Eddy guilty of taking the extra touch when in too when the early shot could've resulted in goals. Another worldy save by the shagger. Kenny, Bain Mcgregor, Brown all very poor and guilty for the goals. Christie is mince and probably the worst player on the pitch how he even makes the bench is beyond me.

bravetart86

1.) 02 May 2021 15:10:47
Cannot believe that Christie gets singled out for that shambles today. The game was over before he came on.

Once again it was basic defending that cost us. For instance Ajer turning his back on the shot from Morelos for the second goal.

There a lot worse players in that team than Christie.

Out of today’s starting eleven, only Welsh, Turnbull and Forrest should be kept. The rest can all go.

2.) 02 May 2021 18:05:57
Christie has been horrendous all season and was an embarrassment when he came on. Offers absolutely nothing. There was a stat about him before today's game, 51 shots outside the box this season and only scored one of them he thinks he's better than he is. I'd still keep Soro even though he was partially to blame for the last goal along with Welsh. But agree with you I wouldn't care if the rest of the bunch was sold. Only 2 more games to suffer and we can have a bit of excitement on new faces arriving.

25 Apr 2021 11:58:33
With no game on today who would people like to see us realistically sign for next seasons rebuild? Possible we could go mainly down the British route for signings this summer particularly if Howe takes over.

For me Ben Davies (Liverpool) could be an option again.

Issac Mbeza (Huddersfield) on a free looks a decent player and give Forrest competition he's been needing as well as back up when he's injured.

Clark-Harris (Peterborough) is on fire and would be a good replacement for Griffiths/ Klimala.

Might be out of our price range but Michael Olise (Reading)

bravetart86

1.) 25 Apr 2021 13:09:21
Isn't Harris a midfielder.

2.) 25 Apr 2021 15:43:10
He's a No9 DRB 30 goals and 3 assists in 45 games this season. Looks an accomplished box striker. Mbenza can play on LW too and looks a cracking player Belgian U21 if you get bored check them out on YouTube when you have some spare time.

3.) 25 Apr 2021 16:10:34
Brave for me Davies had his chance for a move to Celtic and turned it down for a shot at Liverpool, he must have been the only one in world football that believed he'd get a chance there, say he does sign for Celtic, he has a good season then a EPL club come calling, does he jump ship straight away for another crack at the league? I'd imagine he'd want to move, so for me he's a definite no chance as like i said he has his chance and turned us down to TRAIN with Liverpool. The other ones couldn't comment as i don't watch any English football, will catch the odd game but that is very rare.

4.) 25 Apr 2021 23:50:57
Fair comment SW but if we can make a decent profit off him in one season then it's good business.

He built a decent side that got us competing against the best in Europe. I just hope if appointed he doesn't go down the route of all Scottish players and doing the rebuild on a budget. Although there's some players I'd like us to snap up in the league we need better quality to take us forward.

I'd much rather we spent a bit more on a top coach than wasting it on projects that won't make the grade at the club. What would Favre have cost? A million more a season than Howe or less? He'd only likely be here 3 seasons tops and I'd rather we lost a million a season off the transfer budget as a better coach will get more out of the players. Rodgers/ Lennon is a prime example of that.

Considering Howe has turned us down and Marsch if off to Leipzig that leaves Keane. With the fans feedback on Keane no wonder they've looked elsewhere. Not convinced Postecoglou was always our plan B he's just a name Harkin has plucked out to get the board out the rubbish.

Probably the most risk free option Tony2Bhoy. I'd only have him as a 3rd choice LB back up and back up for LW would expect quality LB and LW signings on top of him still. If he has a decent season then sign him for longer.

I mentioned Mbenza a few weeks ago looks a cracking player, Belgian u21, looks productive enough and can play on either flank. Could be a good signing to push Forrest or on the left where he scored some crackers for Montpellier cutting in on his right foot.
