As I type, I'm watching scenes of Sinead O'Connor funeral cortege going along the seafront of her home town of Bray, Co Wicklow, for the last time.
The streets are lined with fans, wellwishers and people throwing flowers, clapping and cheering as the hearse carrying her coffin, passes them. The media circus offcourse is ever present, as it always seems to be.
Whilst I appreciate Sinead may have divided opinion and wasn't shy at standing up for what she believed, she was also a daughter, sister aunt, friend and a mother.
She was a daughter of Ireland ??.
I wonder if she knew just how much she was loved whilst she was alive?
As human beings, if we can only be one thing, be kind.
God rest your soul Sinead. ?.
