I was just wondering and I highly doubt it, but say WN does turn this around, lasts to the window, and the board do back him, and we do get recruitment right, I know what are the chances much is this going to cost? Many players going if no one wants to leave.

2 new cbs that have height, strong and pace as well as comfortable on the ball
Do we sign a big strong cdm?

2 big strong athletic strikers?
All these players won't be cheap if we are to sign the right quality or is it more hope and guess players turn out gems? Which we really don't have a good record of.
Then the other question is trying to sell yang, bali, let forest go, sell tounetki, where does jota fit? Sell yamada and kenny. Where does inamura fit long-term

I'd like to see an older experienced striker with good steady scoring stats . and a up and coming striker like bowie . an experienced right sided centre back . a two footed winger or a good rw and I think that would get us through the season but whoever is brought in has to be better than those already here .

We got Matt O'Reilly for £1.5m so it doesn't need to cost £10m+ for a quality player. We just need people who can see a talent and stop spending millions on duds!

Where's the winger playing though drb? This man likes to over complicate things where wingers ain't wingers. This is what a can't understand from the board, was Nancy cheap option? Probably but then looking at his system will cost a fortune for the correct players? Maybe we do need 20 players and 30 punted derry but surely cheapest and correct choice if MON would have would of been to let him see out season, where he uses a formation that suits players we have, uses wingers as we just spent 10 million on 2 wingers although if they are any good is a different debate and jus signed couple of quality players.
I just can't think of the logic behind all of this.

It was always the concern with Nancy was his system. The board didn't want to spend in the summer but signed a manager who will need more signings in January to fit his system. Strikers are priority but if he plays with inside forwards then sign some CAMs and punt the wingers. Balikwisha, Maeda, Yang and Tounetki out.
I'd even throw in Nygren too who looks out of place no matter where he's being played. WB is a concern too, I think Johnston and Saracchi would suit this system when fit but we need quality competition for them or starters until they're fit as no one seems capable in the current squad.
