He won't get a chance. He either gets results quick or the more fans will turn against him.
Part of me feels sorry for him as he has came into a merde show and the fans patience and tolerance is at rock bottom. My personnel view is he is a good coach but I am not sure if he can handle the pressure. Time will tell if I am right.

WeeJoe if anything the constant negativity just fuels the fire. I'm taking the positive outlook on the scenario we are in to save my own sanity. I recommend it if you're willing it does help.
{Ed007's Note - Fancy throwing out some positives to give the rest of us some hope? I'm guessing that the general feeling is that board can't do anything right for months (years) except appoint Nancy, that's apparently a masterstroke - what have you seen, heard or read about or from Nancy to make you see positives?}

The guy Nancy needs to be given time, we seem to be copying the sevco fans reaction to russell martin, let's not believe the press, they are trying to turn us against him.
{Ed007's Note - That's just nonsense. You could just as easily say some fans are copying Sevco fans with blindly backing a guy and grasping at straws looking for anything positive just to justify us appointing him.
Everything the board has done in recent years is wrong for Celtic except appoint Nancy, that's where we're at right now, should we be cheerleading Tisdale for his part in it?
All the talk of managed decline and downsizing is off the table after the board pushed the boat out to appoint an MLS "soccer coach" with 4 years experience under his belt.}

I don't!
People may agree or disagree with my opinion but the biggest factor in whether or not he is given time will be his ability to get results. My take is that he was not a popular choice and he has to get fans onside quicker than normal due to current events at our club and fan opinion of the board being at rock bottom, due to their incompetence and attacks against our own fans.

It was not a criticism ed but my estimate is we have 2-3 hundred readers on here and although it may be small in numbers, the quality is not in short supply. ?.

I'd rather be positive and have some hope for the new manager than write the man off after a game. The board has appointed a guy that none of us wanted but I'm still going to back the man to hopefully get results. I don't really see a problem with that outlook?
I'd much rather have had McKenna but that's not where we are. I'll continue to batter the board but battering the manager after a games not helping anyone is it.

Johnston is basically giving Nancy's system criticism.
I wonder if any Board Members asked Alastair about his previous Manager before he was appointed considering he was a bit of an unknown.

I'm really surprised how the conversation has moved on to criticising hope. Hope is all well have in life, from the very serious to the trivial. Hope that I will get better from illness to hope that we win our next game and everything inbetween. I think it is incredibly harsh to criticise anyone for having hope about anything when it is so powerful, especially when it comes in the form of blind faith. "Have faith and you shall receive".
I will choose hope and faith over anything else that has been thrown out in this site recently.
{Ed007's Note - And as we see over at Ibrox so often, it's the hope - and blind faith - that kills them, season after season. So do we have faith/hope in the board, if not why should we have it in the man they've appointed to continue downsizing OUR Club?
