Has anyone heard anything us being in for the boy fae them, Rory Wilson, an under 16s player? Is he any good?

cowabunga00

1.) 24 Dec 2021 15:25:46
Nope and having just googled him I'd be shocked if we were to sign him. Apparently he's been playing so well The rangers are going to offer him a pro contract.
I got all this from google so no inside info here.

Do u know if there is any truth in this story that laxalt let slip on twitch that's he's meeting eddie howe either today or tomorrow?

cowabunga00

1.) 30 Mar 2021 14:38:02
It's been shown to be fake news. The original video was posted 11 days ago and has been edited. Why some people would even bother to do that is beyond me. Sad lives with too much time on their hands.

2.) 30 Mar 2021 21:42:35
We are in the middle of a C.V. nearly everyone has rime on their hands lol.

3.) 30 Mar 2021 23:24:32
Well that's true, Marco but surely they could find a better way of using any spare time. I just don't get why someone would spend time and effort doing that. Weirdos.

4.) 01 Apr 2021 10:14:15
No rime or reason to it.

15 Mar 2020 22:06:21
Just hearing all leagues to be confirmed as over, all league leaders celtic, dundee utd, raith rovers, and cove rangers all to be named champions, league cup to be suspended next season, and the Scottish cup will continue come September.

An announcement due tomorrow.

Or so i have heard. COYBIG.

cowabunga00

1.) 25 Mar 2020 17:34:27
I don't think that will be true they are talking a out havi g the season finishing I June.

18 Jun 2019 18:42:26
Turnbull deal is dead, we've walked away from it.

cowabunga00

1.) 18 Jun 2019 18:48:11
Good! Should have happened on Friday when the greedy wee d1k thought 12 k a week wasn’t good enough! Lower league English obscurity on the horizon now, well done kid 👌🏼👍🏼 Let’s get the positions we actually need sorted fixed now and stop f*kn about!

2.) 18 Jun 2019 18:59:44
That's a nightmare, top prospect.

3.) 18 Jun 2019 19:06:12
Should have been done on Friday.

4.) 18 Jun 2019 19:11:59
What is going on?

5.) 18 Jun 2019 19:16:06
Did he play against us last season cause I honestly can't remember him having any impact.
#dodgedabullet.

6.) 18 Jun 2019 19:24:06
19 years old kid want to earn megabucks rather than work hard and earned it, no problem. He can do problems elsewhere. ther are plenty players like Bain who apriciated what he is having at the moment here.

7.) 18 Jun 2019 19:25:53
What a carry on how much time and effort has went into this fares of trying to sign Turnbull surely these details of contracts would have been discussed to test the water before going all out to get the player. What waste off Celtics time. If this is how our window is starting how is it going to end? What a joke what has the footballing world turned into when a 19 year old and his reps try’s to take their new employer to the cleaners in term of their contract.

8.) 18 Jun 2019 19:27:10
I agree Kev apparently no English club have came forward to be interested in him so I hope his greed gets the better of him and he remains with Motherwell.

9.) 18 Jun 2019 19:27:39
Gutted we haven’t signed him but if it’s down to the agents
Trying to get more money fair play to Celtic walking away
. Now let’s push on and get our targets in (if we have any)

10.) 18 Jun 2019 19:31:44
Obviously making demands that the club think are ridiculous silly lad could of made a name at celtic and got a big move once proven but nope thinks he’s a superstar already.

11.) 18 Jun 2019 19:51:37
Glad this has been settled. If he has his heart set on Barnsley then good luck to him. Seriously, good luck.

12.) 18 Jun 2019 19:56:10
I keep seeing people trying to absolve the player and saying it's all down to the agent.
Who employs the agent?
The agent can't knock back a bit without players say so.

13.) 18 Jun 2019 20:34:57
At the end of the day if he really wanted to join he would have told the agree that he was delighted with the deal and happ to sign. Clear the were both pushing for more money. Thank God it's over.

14.) 18 Jun 2019 20:54:40
Spot on kev the player will have the final say.

15.) 18 Jun 2019 21:02:26
Celtic are calling his bluff. They've noted that no other offer is on the table so they've basically carried through on their take it or leave it threat, and good on them for that. Chances are he will either go to England or come crawling back to Celtic, but it will be on Celtic's terms not his.

16.) 18 Jun 2019 21:07:21
This is simply Celtic carrying out their take it or leave it threat. They've noted that no other concrete offer is on the table so they've called his bluff. He'll either end up at a lower league English side or he'll come crawling back to Celtic. If its the latter then it will be on Celtics terms, not his.

28 Jan 2018 17:02:03
I've heard mousonda is travelling is on his way up to glasgow tonight, he has been booked in for a medical tomorrow morning 18 month loan deal.

cowabunga00

1.) 28 Jan 2018 17:24:24
Another loan, another prospect

Is there a kid on option to buy like the Edouard deal. We all know Celtic won’t pay 7 million for him even if he did bang in the goals.

Musonda heard good things but what kind of price would he command?

2.) 28 Jan 2018 17:42:54
It doesn’t matter Kev since it’ll just be kid on.

3.) 28 Jan 2018 17:48:42
To be honest Kev, Musonda is a step up from any other prospect we have apart from Ajer. Musonda is a quality player that would be in the first team for any mid table epl side. I don't care if he's a loan or not, he's a quality player that i hope can add that creativity we've been lacking.

4.) 28 Jan 2018 18:31:20
Kev He would be a min of £7mill maybe as much as £12 mill. So when posters start talking about Moussa being a £20mill player have a look at this guy. Better than Moussa.

5.) 28 Jan 2018 18:38:11
I think everyone would rather we signed players permanently but the way I look at it is:

1. Could we pay the price Chelsea would want for him? No
2. Is he better than what we have and will improve our team? Yes
3. Could we buy a player of his quality from another team/ league? Probably not

He’s like Roberts. As long as he helps us win games and trophies and improve in Europe then I couldn’t care less if he’s only on loan. 18 months is a good period to get him for too.

6.) 28 Jan 2018 18:45:23
If Musonda reaches his full potential we will have a very special talent at paradise. The way we sell good players on and don’t properly reinvest doesn’t it matter if we buy him? A year and a half will boost the squad quality.

7.) 28 Jan 2018 19:17:11
Dembele is a prime example of how long we are able to hold on to a top quality young player. Ad say 2 seasons at most before a team from down south sniffing around. So if we get a top quality loan player like paddy or Musonda then I have no problem with it but our team should never be full of them.
We should always try our best to have options to buy them as well.

8.) 28 Jan 2018 19:20:46
Got no issue with loaning a quality player, as long as other areas are strengthened.

9.) 28 Jan 2018 21:46:36
At least this is a 18 month loan and not til the end of the season.

10.) 28 Jan 2018 22:30:02
If we indeed get him for 18 months, I will be delighted. It's the way of the world for clubs short of the folding stuff and even shorter on the will to spend it.

If he is half as good as Ed says he will be a brilliant addition.

I'm away to check him out on youtube. :)

{Ed007's Note - The question is though - and let's get the important stuff out the way asap - does he support the Republican movement? #CharlyAndTheBhoys

11.) 28 Jan 2018 23:52:41
As long as he doesn't spend his time singing about it I don't care.

I checked the boy out and he certainly looks as if he has a future in the game.

If all goes well tomorrow, he should go straight in against the wee Huns, but I bet you Rogers will play Mcgreggor instead and bring him on about 60mins after McG has done less than feck all.

I hope he won't do that but I think it's on the cards.

12.) 29 Jan 2018 08:22:07
I've got it on good authority that he wholeheartedly does ed. If it doesn't work out on the pitch for the lad he's going for a trial in the gb to start the songs.

{Ed007's Note - KT has been up all night teaching him ROH for his initiation ceremony with the squad.}

Alright guys not posted in a while, after having nearly 2 years of not having **** all to moan about due to the success ange brought us, but anwayz, what is everyone thoughts on us goving Kevin Muscat a look at, i know he has an assocation with that mob, but he has a good cv, and has followed in anges foot steps in oz and japan and been a success.

cowabunga00

1.) 05 Jun 2023 21:28:50
Muscat > Lenny.

2.) 05 Jun 2023 21:45:04
Kevin Muscat is not a bad shout. His connection to the Klan bothers me not one jot. What does worry me is he has been personal friends with Postecoglu for years and TRUSTS him. He’s obviously not a great judge of character although Postecoglu had me fooled too and I don’t think I’m alone but we didn’t know him for years. Knudsen or Potter? Please God not Moyes, Kennedy or worse Rogers.

27 Jan 2022 20:39:19
Buzz, was reading an article earlier can you give a breakdown percentage of what refs have referred our games this season, as it says a certain Bobby has referred 25% of our games, that can't be right, is it? What is the other mobs percentage of refs per game?

cowabunga00

1.) 27 Jan 2022 21:52:13
The game next Wednesday will be Bobby Madden’s 6th Celtic league match this season, in 24 league games. ( 25% )
It will also be Bobby Madden’s 7th Celtic game in his last 14 league matches he’s been the referee. ( 50% since May 2021 )
The Glasgow Derby will only be Madden’s 2nd Sevco League match this season ( 8% )
Up until now ( 22 league games ) Sevco have had 6 different referees 3 times this season.
The referee appointments are spread evenly amongst the Sevco matches but Not the Celtic games, WHY?
Celtic had this same problem with Willie Collum, not long ago.
There was a period when Willie Collum had Celtic games 50% of the time and Collum only had a very small fraction of Sevco matches.
Now it’s Bobby Madden’s turn, who next Nick Walsh?

2.) 27 Jan 2022 23:37:27
Sevco penalty Walsh.

3.) 28 Jan 2022 08:06:56
Walsh will be their referee tomorrow against Ross County.
In his previous 3 league games this season involving the Ibrox club, Walsh has Sent Off an opponent on each occasion.
No doubt Walsh will be aiming for 4 in a row in Dingwall.

07 Nov 2021 18:38:31
Having read a recent blog, the question was poised, who is the better player, kyogo or jota Also who do u guys think was mom the match today?

cowabunga00

1.) 07 Nov 2021 18:45:29
Ralston worked his socks off brilliant performance again boy is a machine.

2.) 07 Nov 2021 18:48:42
Both are by far the most technically gifted players, bar maybe Rogic, we've had at the club in a long time! I'd probably go for Jota if pushed though purely because I think he could do a job through the middle kyogo is wasted out wide imo. Mom, Ralston again for me.

3.) 07 Nov 2021 19:14:04
I agree with u dtp, mom was Ralston with Bitton a close 2nd, and for me jota if I really needed to pick, that bhoy has the world at his feet, if he maintains the desire and dedication.

{Ed007's Note - I've said it numerous times that Bitton - another player we all wrote off and is now flourishing under Ange - at CDM is a great player and he's showing that form again and thank God Ange appears to have sacked the playing him as a starting CB experiment.
My only worry with the Jota situation is that he will definitely have caught "bigger" (richer) clubs eyes and they could offer him life changing money and his (and his agents) head could be turned by the lure of a more glamourous league.
Do we stick or twist in January, do we get Jota done and dusted paying the first instalment of his fee to Benfica which could affect the finances regarding other potential signings? If we could offload Ajeti & Barkas - a couple of high earners - I'd definitely try and get Jota tied up in January and hopefully the player thinks he can only improve under Ange and maybe end up at a "top" club in a few years.}

4.) 07 Nov 2021 20:16:30
I think Nir Bitton gets what its all about playing for Celtic.
Has had his critics and rightly so on occasions but looks like he is like many enjoying his football again and playing really well in his natural position.

5.) 07 Nov 2021 20:23:21
Sign of a great coach getting the most out of them, that simply didn't happen under Lennon. For me its too dificult to call its like chossing Henke or Lubo.

6.) 07 Nov 2021 21:43:29
100% agree Ed. Bitton gave me the fear with the mistakes he made in the recent past as well as the poor decision making that got him stupid bookings - these were underpinned by the fact he was being played at CB.

As a CDM, he is playing with confidence and almost a swagger as he looks like a player in control of his game.

As for Jota, we should do everything in outlook power to sign him come January. The goals and assits tally that he could end up with at the end of the season will put him out of our reach for the reasons you give.

On those who are surplus to requirements I'd add Bolingoli to that of Barkas and Ajeti - there a few million in transfer fees and several thousand per week in wages that we could really put to good use I. e. Maeda, a LB and one or two others to strengthen the first team squad.

7.) 07 Nov 2021 21:59:01
We've got to go all out and try ed. He's a bit of an a lister type player. Reality is the more he plays like he is the harder it becomes. unless he's one of those rare footballers who are chasing gold over coin.

8.) 08 Nov 2021 08:32:01
If we have a deal thst says we can buy Jota, then we can buy him and sell him on. Just like Hendry. Option to buy means we buy. He might not want to stay. that's the issue.

05 Nov 2021 21:06:31
Paul you seem to be in the know regarding the Irish leagues, what's the boy Johnny Kenny fae sligo like? Is he any good, I seen we were supposed to be interested but he signed a new contract, but a record of 8 goals in 18 games or something isn't bad.

cowabunga00

1.) 05 Nov 2021 21:26:36
cowabunga can i let u into a secret paul isny irish he is fae london and puts a irish voice on shocking and he wears union jack boxers shoking bro.

2.) 05 Nov 2021 21:51:33
Yes Cowabunga you are right. Celtic are heavily Interested kenny, At only 19yrs old kenny is a raw talent and very highly regarded in the league of ireland. Kenny is an out and out striker and only made his senior debut this season. Kenny signed his first professional contract in January last year and because of the interest from Celtic, sligo wanted to get value for their prize asset. In total kenny made a total of 30 app this season and started 18 game's with a goal return of 10 goals. With the lOI now finished I'd expect Celtic to make a bid of £6800 for kenny and bring him over to join the Colts. Considering the lack of stickers at youth level it's a no brainer for me. Bring him over in January and develop him.
Celtic are also montering another 19yr in the LOI, killian Phillips of Dragheda. Philips is another high prospect for Ireland coming yrs. He is a Defensive Midfielder but plays mostly at CB. Celtic have sent Scouts a number of times this season and have been impressed with both of them. Whatch this space Cowabunga as we could see Celtic snapping up two young talents from Ireland.

3.) 05 Nov 2021 22:04:32
UI are you on the beer again ???.

4.) 05 Nov 2021 22:09:07
beer wiskey bucky and much more bro.

5.) 06 Nov 2021 09:48:13
Cheers Paul.

25 May 2021 08:26:26
I've been reading a few articles that mention the need to bring strict liability into Scottish clubs, what do you guys think is this a good thing or a bad thing?

cowabunga00

1.) 25 May 2021 10:25:30
You just have to look at recent events involving supporters violence and damage and players breaking curfew, ignoring CV restrictions and alleged bigoted singing and the law condoned and even encouraged it. There will ALWAYS be one rule for one and another rule for others.

2.) 25 May 2021 10:37:17
Its a hard one for me, if fans leave a game and decide to wreck a bus or something how's it the clubs fault, it's like leaving your local and then putting a brick through a window, is it the pubs fault,

3.) 25 May 2021 12:36:41
Good point Mally and you're always going to get idiots.

I've read Maxwell has knocked the idea back.

4.) 25 May 2021 16:28:50
I don't see why a football club should be liable for idiots who wear their jersey.

{Ed007's Note - So who is liable for things that happen inside and around the stadium if it's not the clubs? Are you against it in UEFA competitions where we've seen TRIFC having stands closed for their racist songs or shouldn't they be held responsible for their fans behaviour or did you disagree with Bulgaria having to play a game behind closed doors because their fans racially abused black English players, what about Barnsley being fined for their fans racially abusing James McClean, was that wrong as well?
I'd take a guess that the people saying what you're saying obviously don't know what Strict Liability actually is.}

5.) 25 May 2021 23:04:51
People should be accountable for their own actions. Nobody else.
