I will not blame the manager yet for the results that have happened in the past 2 games. The board for me get all the blame IMO the players we have now are FAR from good enough I would say most if not all the players are in that category. BR said before the summer window that the team wasn't good enough and the board never done anything to fix that.
We need at least 5 first team players in this winter window but I think we will be lucky too bring in 2. The board band the GB and we all saw the atmosphere was flat I can't see a good outcome from this but I don't blame The manager.

How can you blame the board when O'Neill was getting a tune out of the group? When you look at the formation and players out of position you can only blame the manager! That's a crazy post!

Yes the manager shouldn't get all the blame he has taken on the biggest club he is ever going to manage and no doubt b paid handsomely but he nust accept some blame as his tactics and team selection for past 2 games has been Shocking, we might only be regarded as Fans but we know past 2 games has been unacceptable.

Directly or indirectly, he is one of the factors in an absolutely farcical season from the 'Jackass' Boardroom down. In the past month these same players beat Sevco to get to Sundays final, won 5 league games on the trot and beat Feyenoord away.
I totally agree we have a weak and depleted squad but MON got much more out of them.
He assessed the strengths AND weaknesses then played a style and formation that was never going to sparkle every game but got results.

The manager has turned the style. formation etc upside down and back to front so yes blame him. then Blame the rest of the fans for allowing flat atmosphere if they provided an atmosphere we wouldn't need a gb.

Head in the sand Tony. The guys no got a clue and we will get beat on Sunday that mob will beat us and he will leave us in a bad way. He shouldn't have got the job hes not good enough and two games in hese proving it.

MON did get the best from the players ? but we have a new manager, And the players we have should be good enough to play the formation that the manager wants but sadly it's just showing the players up. Almost everyone was screaming at the board for the lack of ambition in the past 2 windows yet now it seems to be the new manager s fault the guy has only been in the job for a week I am just saying that he needs a chance to do his job.
And if anyone thinks we have a good set of players that's their opinion but for me most of the players at Celtic shouldn't be anywhere close to the club.
{Ed007's Note - Surely it's down to the players skillset and capabilities, Tony? There's a world of difference between playing as a FB or WB, being part of a back 3 or 4, would Arteta or Pep have Hibs playing like Arsenal or City, the players should be able to do what the manager wants them too after all?}

Exactly Ed. That's what I am trying to say the players we have haven't got the skills to do that system I am sure he is seeing that now But he should still have a chance to do his job. As someone says the players we have just now get paid more in a week than most get paid in a year surely they should HAVE been good enough to do another system? We have had 2 terrible transfer windows I think down to the board leaving us with players not good enough.
{Ed007's Note - The tactics are so micro managed these days that imo only certain players can do certain roles in a team, look at the drop off in Cal Mac since Brown left and he tried to replace him, they were 2 completely different types of player with polar opposite skillsets... there was no point crossing balls into Kyogo who was honking in the air and a midget compared to SPFL CBs...
Nancy should have done his homework on the team/squad and devised a system to suit him and the players abilities at the same time to give him and them time to learn and grow, get to January and get some more players in that fit the system and progress it.
And when he's not here in 18 months time we'll rip it all up and start again with a new manager that has a totally different plan/strategy.
These decisons shouldn't be down to the manager/soccer coach, do Ajax fall apart every time a manager leaves, does PSG, Bayern or Barca, or the latest flavour of the month, Brugge?
Our Club has no footballing identity left, playing football "the Glasgow Celtic way" means nothing now, the famous atmosphere is a f***ing joke and has been for years and we've just appointed what was seen as a "point in front of the H*ns appointment" but is looking more and more like he wouldn't even have got a sniff of a job over there appointment.}

18 months Ed, hopefully much sooner than that. At this rate, crowds will be down to 10k if he's here in 18 months. I don't have the words for how bad this is.
Consoling myself with a Lidl's mince pie which I recommend.

Play to your strengths, players in right position, in a formation that suits what you have and understand, that would be set in right direction, think someone has missed out the bit of information to our manager that we need to win f the performance, is there anyone left to do that?
13 Dec 2025 11:06:40
So you think a team that has played a back 4 for generations should be ripped up his first game and go with a 3? Really? This guy is so out of his depth it's unreal and any manager worth his salt would have stuck with the way they were operating and slowly changed if need be!
