Big Idah tries hard but isn't going to cut it as our main CF. Last year he got 13 league goals and if you put Simon Murray, Olasanga, Boyle etc up front they would all probably have scored that many. Miovski at £4m or so would make a good backup striker but we still need a main man to replace Kyogo. Time for the board to act.

Am willing to give him more time I think there's a playr in there but agree he need to do better should have scored 2nd half.

Kyogo should have been replaced at the time but the thinking seemed to be bring in Jota and move Maeda up front. That worked very well for a time and then Jota got injured - Yang was not good enough -and Maeda had to be shuttled between two positions. I think this has really taken it out of him and he seems to have lost a bit of pace as well. This is why we need to bring in a striker, winger (and LB) so the squad can be balanced and utilized without burnout.
I agree Idah is not an ideal first choice Celtic striker and I suspect the manager might agree,

Idah gives plenty of effort but his Quality isn’t consistent enough.
He isn’t prolific enough to be our first choice striker and Kenny isn’t good enough either.
I also think Idah is a better impact player off the bench similar to McCowan and I would still keep him as our number 2 striker.
Yang isn’t good enough to be playing for Celtic at all.

IMO Idah wasn't third choice at Norwich for nothing. He was very poor on Sunday even though he had good chances. He should really have taken at least one. For a big man he struggles to hold the ball up and is just too slow to play a team that's wants to play quickly.

Agree with your assessment BuzzBomb.
He's young enough and can obviously score goals, I'll need to look at his conversion rate as he does seem to require a lot of chances.

Is it fair to ask Idah to score as many as 3, Murray, Olasanga and Boyle.
