ED007 just read that Mark Lawwell has been announced as our new Head of Recruitment, not sure what to think as his father is Peter Lawwell who I had hoped had gone to pastures new, Nepotism still rife within our Boardroom.
I only hope Ange knows what he is letting himself in for.
{Ed007's Note - Ange has known Mark Lawwell for years through the City Group - whether Pedro's help smooth things over is neither here or there, Tim, this is a fantastic appointment imo. There's nothing wrong with nepotism if it works to your advantage in getting the best people available in the door.

Couldn't agree more. This will be seen as something bad due to association, but the city group don't employ just anyone. I believe this could see anges plans moving to the next level.
Time will tell but this could be a master stroke.
{Ed007's Note - Mark Lawwell hasn't been working as Head of Scouting and Recruitment at the City Football Group for nearly 10 years because he's Pedro's son, he's been doing that through merit and being good at his job.
If this wasn't Pedro's lad we would be applauding Celtic being able to coax an integral part of the CFG's footballing department to leave them and join us.}

It doesn't scream nepotism to me, it looks more like having Pedro at Celtic has allowed a relationship to develop with DD and Mark Lawwell, which DD is now using to his advantage.
