Barry Coffey has picked up the player of the month award at Cork City. 3 goals 2 Assists. Never seen him play, has he a potential for place in the first team squad?

Coffey is playing in the Irish 2nd division.
It’s the equivalent to when Luca Connell was getting praise playing for Queens Park last season.
Both players are too good for the leagues they play/ played in but I wouldn’t think they’re good enough for a place in the Celtic first team squad.
They would need to play regularly at a higher level, to test if they have the potential to make the big upgrade at Celtic.

Yes ken, Coffey has been in excellent form for Cork City since joining on loan. From what I'm hearing is he has been the stand out player for Cork City. But you must bear in mind that Cork City are playing in league 1 this season. The calibre of player’s isn't great bar a few in this division. Most players in this division are amateur and full time jobs. So it's no surprise to me he is doing well. He is in his last year of his contract. If he is going to be staying at Celtic I think he will be ard Colts team for another year or two. Is he good enough is to seen at the moment as he isn't up against great teams here.
