Why the negativity around the apparent Ajeti deal? We do NEED another striker to compliment Eddy and his year at West Ham apart he is exactly the type of player who fits the profile. Prolific at Basel, a Swiss Internationalist and has European experience. Lenny has stated on several occasions he is actively looking to get a CB in to replace Jozo so if the Ajeti deal gets over the line ad we have parted with a lot of cash then applaud the club. Some supporters are just never happy honestly.

not a player who overly excited me.

Totally agree with you SSB, I personally can't wait to see him link up with Eddie and Moi.

With me it's not negativity it's just that it's hard to get excited about a player who I don't know very much about.
I hope the club have unearthed another Dembele or Edouard and not another Bayo or Pukki.

Have to remember he was a target for Brentford and opted for the premier league over them. They are renowned for finding under the radar talent that can really flourish with the right training. People who don’t know of Ajeti are people that don’t know football very well.

He’s a big talent and it really is a coup to sign him IF he can find his feet again.

£5m plus big wages is a big risk for someone 'IF' they can find their feet.

I can't remever seeing him but then I've not seen much of Basel where he made his name.

12 Aug 2020 11:13:53
Can I ask . why are you so positive?

12 Aug 2020 12:39:14
We paid that combined for Bayo and klimala. They weren't experienced international players. don't know too much about him but better to spend 5m on him than two project players. It's actually cheap for a striker. We spent 7m on a centre back last Summer. We just spent 4.5 on a keeper.

If Ajeti hasn't played for over a year he won't be ready to go straight into the time. It will take a while to get his match fitness. I'm glad the deal has been done but once again should have been concluded sooner.

Fifer, i wouldn't exactly call him an experienced international. he's came off the bench a few times and played 1 90 mins for them vs Gibraltar. he's a player who not only couldn't get into a very average west ham side but couldn't even make their bench most weeks.
