Scepovic now trying to push for a move back to sporting gijon. It was a Neil mcguiness (former celtic scout) in a newsnow article that picked out kaputska the young Polish player as a gem celtic should sign. I'm desperate for some new signings, but I think the management are doing the right thing, moving on the players without cfc futures and freeing up more wages, this way we may be able to offer slightly more wages than we have done past few years. Raising the wage cap slightly.

Kinda celtic related, well almost. Not seen much of this tournament but reckon Germany Poland could be a belter. Celtic link, tenuous as it is, is that I think I remember someone posting about Bartoz Kapustka a bit back as someone to watch. He looks like someone who would be ideal fit for us, absolutely no chance now (unless Northern Ireland just made him look good, which I doubt) . Would have mirrored Roberts on the left, kind of player who would have been in our reach prior to this tournament.

Yeah I kept an eye on him after you mentioned him on here and the boy looked absolute quality! Defo destined for bigger things now after showing what he can do at Euros.

Not sure it was me that posted about him, dad of my boy's school pal told me about him but thought I'd read about him here from somebody too. Perhaps too young for a game like this but looked like he had something about hin against Northern Ireland.

Seeing big Cole is off to! That a defo ED? What's the script with scepovic buddy? I know u'd said he'd be signing for someone on July 1st but I read he wasn't sure if he was goin. like the way Brendans going about things, no rushing in buying for the sake of it! Clear out the deadwood then bring in a few! Hopefully a few more will be shown the door over the next couple of weeks! Any truth in this dyer story ED? Wouldn't mind seeing him in, decent wee player.

{Ed007's Note - Yeah mate, Cole's away. I'm waiting on someone getting back to me about Scepovic. It was written into his loan deal that Getafe would sign him permanently and I was told it was regardless of their relegation but that's the only thing I can think of that would have been an option to cancel the deal. My apologises for getting it wrong mate.}
I thought Dyer was a decent enough player when he was younger but he never progressed as expected and his wages would be a stumbling block - and there's been no contact with Swansea.
The press seem to be linking us with any player Rodgers has worked with in the hope they get one right whereas the truth is that it's proving very difficult so far this summer to find out what's going on inside Celtic because of the changes going on, remember Rodgers hasn't even met the players yet.}

16 Jun 2016 16:37:03
So the players are back Monday they have 7 days then they fly out 27th for preseason friendlies then qualifiers on the 12/ 13 of July so will have so we have roughly 18 days before the european second round deadline.

16 Jun 2016 17:05:24
Ideally we want players in asap. But you'd expect us to already have enough for the first round of qualifiers. Bar a back-up striker. Unless one of the youngsters gets a nod or we perhaps see Rogic or Roberts playing further up I'm expecting our first signing to be a forward. Hopefully there's something being kept under wraps until July. Just seen Michu angling for a move there. Did he not totally funk his ankle and end up playing for his brother for some team in a Spanish regional league.

Ye Jim he's basically been playing non league.

No wonder he wants to play for us.

No doubt he would have been probed on the subject either mind. It will be Ilori tomorrow, Caulker the day after, then Vorm or somebody.

Christie could play up top - nae danger.

No need to apologise ED. just hope scepovic can get another club fixed up! And hopefully ciftci follows! Yeh totally agree bud, Brendans already said that he wants to get a look at the players first. would expect some movement on players coming in next month! And I'm sure he'll have players in mind he'd like to bring in! Looking forward to fixtures coming out 2morrow! Can't wait for next season already lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I'm confident that Scepovic won't be here by the time the window closes. His agent will find him a club and we won't be difficult to deal with.}

16 Jun 2016 22:19:54
Cheers ED! Think scepovic is just the perfect example of our poor transfer policy lately! Him CKR Cole ciftci and others I could mention should never have been brought in! I'm keepin my fingers crossed that BR has more say on targets and that clown park takes a back seat! But I won't hold my breath!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I don't know what Park will actually do under Rodgers if he has control.}

So much for the empty threat of expulsion.
Since then we have seen them hurling coins at kids and there has been trouble and violence in the last 24 hours prior to the Wales game - and no doubt thereafter.
Celtic fans light a flare or display an 'offensive banner' and the club are hammered, while other clubs and countries seem to have a license to riot and assault.
Not to mention racist or sectarian chanting. UEFA are just like Fifa - a tin-pot shower of corrupt hypocrites with many a blind-eye.

Kevbhoy The IFA have used that excuse to not punish their favourite club Linfield often in the past . I think it is rubbish and nonsense as if it wasn't for the tournament or game the supporters wouldn't have gathered in the first place . If u create a situation that causes a crowd to gather you have a responsibility to ensure they behave .
As sure as night follows day English fans will riot& fight at every tournament they qualify . UEFA seem to be more interested in putting most of the blame on Russia .
Surely with the inevitable problems with England, it's long past the time that they have been banned.

"Clean up from the boys in green"

What a great video and one of the few things going on at the Euros that made me smile!! What a total contrast to football fans throwing coins at kids or stamping on someone's head just because of the shirt they're wearing!

Hopefully the link has worked and you can post the Video Ed, Cheers :).

With Cole, stokes and CKR out I hope that cifftic is next or do you think Ed BR can turn him into a player? Or are was getting rid of they three first were the easy ones to get out the door first.

{Ed007's Note - I doubt it, Rich - it's Brendan Rodgers we brought in, not Dynamo.}

A got sick of watching videos of violence so a decided to see what other fans have been up to. Nice to see Republic fans partying with Northern Ireland fans. Wasn't sure if the ni fans were going to be like r@ngers fans but from what I've seen they just like a party. Good on them so far.

{Ed007's Note - The Norn Iron supporters have caused their fair share of trouble as well. They were fighting with locals in Nice on Saturday night which wasn't pretty.}

Michael, makes me proud to be Irish, did u see the video of fans changing a tyre for an old couple, or chanting to the Swedish go back to your sexy wives. Anyone got any pictures of the Eiffel tower green, white and orange.

The North off Ireland fans have clearly improved in recent years . They have gone from really aweful low life to bad fans . They no longer start much of the trouble, neither do they walk away but there seems to be a new group of N I fans who go to games and tournaments to enjoy themselves, not to fight .
