See we are linked with 31 year old Polish and Hull winger Kamil Grosicki.

I remember him well play for Poland and Hull when they were in Premiership. Reckon he would be a right good signing if there is any truth to it and would add a bit of experience that NL had mentioned.

Tompo88

1.) 29 Jan 2020 19:03:10
I'd take him if the price is right. Plenty of goals and assists in him and the experience Lennon is apparently looking for.

24 Jan 2020 11:26:38
Any truth in the the rumour we are interested in Mehrdad Mohammadi?

Iran international plays in Portuguese league 7 goals and 5 assists from midfield in 16 games.

Saw Elyounoussi went off early with a foot injury for Norway.

Really hoping it's nothing serious.

Tompo88

1.) 14 Nov 2019 17:17:51
Don't worry we have Morgan to cover.

2.) 14 Nov 2019 17:34:09
Or Jonny Hayes 👍.

3.) 14 Nov 2019 17:54:30
Lol Kev.

4.) 14 Nov 2019 19:17:49
That's quite good patter for you Kev 😜.

5.) 14 Nov 2019 20:33:07
Sinclair might get a chance and about time too.
Oh look, i've just spotted a pink elephant flying by.

6.) 15 Nov 2019 09:14:44
Only way sinky playing is if the tea lady has blown her cruciate ligaments.

28 Aug 2019 17:28:59
I’m being told we are signing Melling and Fousseni Diabate on season loan from Leicester (I’ve not heard of the latter) .

Both expected to be confirmed by tomorrow.

Tompo88

1.) 28 Aug 2019 17:51:55
Where u hearing this tompo?

2.) 28 Aug 2019 18:08:24
Diabate looks a good player to be fair.

3.) 28 Aug 2019 18:10:09
Diabate is he type 1 or two? 🙈😂😂.

4.) 28 Aug 2019 18:16:26
Tompo88 is the Meling a Loan or permanent deal?

5.) 28 Aug 2019 18:28:54
Heard off my dad Danny who has a few pals that seem to know about these things before most.

Could be load of rubbish (considering the way this window has gone) just passing on what I've heard. I guess we'll see by tomorrow.

6.) 28 Aug 2019 18:36:19
They were both named in a post on KDS along with Bauer this morning.

7.) 28 Aug 2019 18:54:02
Nice one tompo, hope your right 👍🏼 Been talking about melling all window lol! Be a good solid addition if it happens.

8.) 28 Aug 2019 18:54:46
Really would prefer us to have no dealings at all with Leicester - for obvious reasons - but we do need players in from somewhere?

9.) 28 Aug 2019 19:11:13
Meling permanent is what I was told Rich, the Leicester lad on a season loan.

10.) 28 Aug 2019 19:23:09
Diabate does don’t look a holding midfielder?

11.) 28 Aug 2019 20:14:08
Cheers Tompo88 fingers crossed mate.

12.) 28 Aug 2019 20:27:39
What is the big thing about people not wanting to deal with Leicester?
They gave Rodgers the option to stay until the end of the season and he said no.
They paid the £9m compensation so what's the problem?
Will we never do business with Arsenal or Southampton because they had the nerve to buy our players?

13.) 28 Aug 2019 20:38:19
Duff Lennon has said several times he wants to add more attacking players.

14.) 28 Aug 2019 21:05:27
Kev he looks fast and has good feet.

15.) 28 Aug 2019 21:17:03
Diabate looks a player from what i've seen i would welcomr him box to box midfielder.

16.) 28 Aug 2019 22:59:44
Johnboy; it's nothing to do with clubs who have attained our staff. It's about opening up a line of trade with a team who's manager has designs on our best players and tried to get Cal-Mac on the English deadline day and I would never want to get into a situation of reciprocal 'favours'.

17.) 28 Aug 2019 23:08:30
He’s plays on either wing or striker not a clue how good he is never heard of him but Meling is a big one think he’ll do well for us 👌.

18.) 29 Aug 2019 07:53:05
Oab if Rodgers and Leicester want to bid for calmac or anyone else do you really think that us loaning or not loaning a player will make one bit of difference?
And if anyone think that calmac isn't going down south in the next few years your aff your nuts.

19.) 29 Aug 2019 08:19:08
Loan players there hunting them down got one already out of nowhere so don't be surprised what turns up just phone up as long as your for loan your in Paul lambert scouted our loan player phoned lennon OK tell him bring his boots he signed.

Interest shown in centre back Srdjan Babic from Red Star Belgrade.

Big bit of a boy at 6'5, 22 years old and apparently was very impressive for Red Star in Champions League recently.

With him and Ajer at the back we certainly wouldn't be losing too many aerial battles.

Seen what you said Ed regarding Hjelde’s contract situation and remember in January Yogi saying we signed him to a new deal yet nothing announced by the club…

Quite strange and reminded me of Karamenko. Everyone was under impression he was free agent at end of season then Kennedy comes out when season is done stating he has another year!?

Tompo88

{Ed007's Note - I don't know why people got confused with Dembele's contract it was always 2022. The thing is if he doesn't renew soon - and unless he's had a massive change of heart/advice - he'll be out of contract next summer.}

1.) 10 Jul 2021 17:12:37
Hjelde contract up next summer.

{Ed007's Note - John Hughes said Hjelde signed a contract extension at Celtic before he went to Ross County in January, the BBC and other websites are saying the same thing.}

22 Aug 2020 16:41:33
Happy to see the young lad Harper makes the bench. Have seen a few reserve games where he really stood out.

Bit concerned that Karamoko has not made squad again, especially after post on rumours section the other day about him wanting a move!

Any idea if he's got a knock ect?

Tompo88

1.) 22 Aug 2020 16:50:56
No knock

He has a LONG way to go, less hype the better

If he plays it will be at home in the cups.

2.) 22 Aug 2020 16:58:49
Ntcham in the 10 role today? Looking forward to it if he is, always think he links up well with eddy.

3.) 22 Aug 2020 17:03:09
Elhamed got to be in for me. does anyone think there's anything in ajer being on bench last 2 games?

4.) 22 Aug 2020 17:12:09
Agree with Tompo, Cameron Harper offers an entirely different option. He's lively and controls the ball well. Also a good reader of the play and I hope he'll be another successful product of the Development conveyor belt. Kerr McInroy had a bad injury last year and would have been chapping the door much sooner. Good to see he's recovered sufficiently to be picked for the bench.

5.) 22 Aug 2020 17:15:05
Maybe just to remind him he's not a guaranteed starter, n needs to work harder.

6.) 22 Aug 2020 17:27:36
Agree wyllie and think same applies to Forrest so glad he has been dropped to bench.

In regards to Elhamed Liam, I love him, but has had his injury problems as we all know so think it's wise not risking him with 2 games in same week at this early stage of the season.

Think he will be a really important player for us this season if he can stay fit.

7.) 22 Aug 2020 17:29:40
Saw McInroy at LB in pre season Stengo and looked pretty tidy. Am I correct in thinking that he's naturally a RB?

8.) 22 Aug 2020 17:53:15
Tompo, he's mainly a ball playing defensive midfielder but also seen him playing a bit further forward. He's a good versatile player who can practically play anywhere. Cameron Harper and Jonathan Afolabi are the two more progressive forwards we have in the Development Squad.

9.) 22 Aug 2020 18:33:32
Versatility is key in this day in age! Was watching Bayern the other night and they were talking about how majority of their team can play several positions and how beneficial that is to a manager

Not seen much of Afolabi other than some of his goals but read when we signed him from Southampton that he's rated highly and would be really chuft if he comes good. We haven't had a big strong striker of proper quality since JV of H imo and with the amount of balls we play into the area from wide there is potential for a proper target man to run a mock.

Not heard much about Armstrong Okoflex for a while who I also had really high hopes for.

10.) 22 Aug 2020 19:01:27
Can't see Okoflex or Aitchison making it.

20 Aug 2020 18:02:03
I'm in two minds about getting Duffy.

On one hand he is a nonsense defender which we definitely need, but on the other he can be clumsy and a bit rash (from the limited times I've seen him) which for me is a worry playing for us in SPL where we don't get away with too much.

Can of our Irish supporters or even just folk that have seen a bit more of him shed any more light on whether he'd be a good fit for us?

Tompo88

1.) 20 Aug 2020 18:22:17
Av always liked him and he'd be a realky good signing.

2.) 20 Aug 2020 18:29:50
I think the fact he is Irish is a reason some fans want him a CP I only watch Celtic so I don't know if he is good or bad but what I have noticed is their is a section of our fan base who would sign any player if they were Irish.

3.) 20 Aug 2020 19:02:01
I thought Shane Duffy was in Boyzone.

4.) 20 Aug 2020 20:00:52
Big Bobo was more than a bit rash but I loved the guy.

5.) 20 Aug 2020 20:29:59
Ive watched him loads and i think he'd do very well for us, i think he'd run through a brick wall in commitment and the fact he will have a ball playing partner would be ideal. Can see him getting a few goals aswell. It would be a great signing and boost for the team. Sometimes one great challenge is all that's needed to spark the team.

6.) 20 Aug 2020 20:50:41
We could do with someone with decent experience and maturity who " gets us" in the steohen McManus mould . this would be a nice blend with Ajer and Jullien

So for me it is about blend

Being irish is a mere bonus . the rashness may he a function of quality in EPL, ie he doesn't mean to be rash or is just that he is up against quicker, trickier players

In SPFL he will be able to kick lumps out of bigger, slower more static strikers ( when the ref is looking the other way and when the linesman isn't mister " red card red card RED CARD "

7.) 20 Aug 2020 21:16:57
If Celtic are looking for a CB that will give us balance then he has to be left footed.

8.) 20 Aug 2020 21:36:28
Agreed.

9.) 21 Aug 2020 13:23:05
I am not worried about Duffy been a bit clumsy and a bit rough at times . We don’t have any real top players who would walk straight on to Bayern Munich team .
Instead we are trying to build a team in which every player can support and back each other up. Duffy’s powers in air in both boxes would compliment Julien v well and could be a player available in our price range.

10.) 22 Aug 2020 11:14:15
I don't care if he's from Larkhall he will add a bit of strength to our defence. After watching our game during the week there was wide open spaces on a couple of occasions down the right side in the second half. Our next opponents will be a far harder tie and we can't give them that kind of space as they have 2 fast strikers.

27 Jun 2020 00:13:19
Apparently Elyounoussi is going out on loan again and it's between us and Real Betis.

You'd hope would want to spend another season with us and show what he's got, but couldn't argue if he chose Spanish league with next permanent move in mind.

Tompo88

1.) 27 Jun 2020 09:08:28
Is there any reason Southampton don't want him in their squad? They paid something like £16m for him so why not play him?

2.) 27 Jun 2020 10:22:13
Think when a manager comes in he has his own ideas/ preferences and some players (like FF and ME) faces don't fit and fall of favour.
There will be several EPL clubs with surplus players, who are on very high wages, who can't get a game (including young players) who, although out of our price range - may be loan options if permanent signings can't be finalized; FF and Elyounnoussi worked last season.

29 Jan 2020 21:35:12
What I've taken away from this game -

NL looks to be the first to get some success out of 352 formation which suits our midfield players

Griffiths isn't finished yet and could be huge player for us second half of the season

If we are to continue with this formation we need another CB

Eddy is on fire and is imperative to whatever formation we decide to play

Taylor is without question best LB at the club

Bauer is not up to it.

Tompo88

1.) 29 Jan 2020 21:39:11
Took av been saying for weeks Taylor is his vest lb the ball sticks to him and rarely gives it away. Bauer not for me he's wooden and wee Mikey showed selfishness should have came off would like to be a fly on the wall when lenny gets him. he should have put the team first.

{Ed007's Note - Should Williamson not have put the team first even as a precaution? Remember Kouassi tried to run off a ruptured cruciate and was lauded for it?}

2.) 29 Jan 2020 21:42:49
Yes and Mikey Johnston is currently getting a doing from Lennon. Didn’t need to have great lip reading skills to see what he was told! 🙈🙈🙈🙈.

{Ed007's Note - Getting a doing from Lennon, he's not at Hibs anymore.}

3.) 29 Jan 2020 21:49:22
I detected angry arm crossing ed. It just looks so lazy and unprofessional when the camera pans to our man in his trackies and pub pose.

{Ed007's Note - Maybe more questions need to be asked AGAIN about Lennon and his treatment of young players.....?}

4.) 29 Jan 2020 21:50:00
Would love to see a midfield 3 of Ntcham McGregor Christie.

5.) 29 Jan 2020 22:08:03
Mikey was clearly asked if he was ok to stay on they even delayed the sub. its a shame but he is so injury prone.

{Ed007's Note - You can't blame any player for wanting to carry on - the medical team should have the final decision - he was being called a lightweight etc after the challenge while guys like Hayes are applauded because they would run through a brick wall for Celtic. This is a manager that played Edouard on Saturday days after needing an x_ray on his toe, would Edouard have been blamed if something had happened to his toe and a manager that risked Simunovic tonight when he wasn't 100% fit and then made a baffling substitution to save the players long term fitness.}

6.) 29 Jan 2020 22:10:55
I agree with everything apart from bauer. Still rate him. Taylor definitely needs a run out at lb.

7.) 29 Jan 2020 22:22:26
I do blame the player he's got to be mature and tell the truth he knows himself that he's injury prone. he will prob miss a good few games now.

{Ed007's Note - What's the point of the physio going on to examine or look at the injury then? How many players take a knock and the go onto complete the game after treatment and now we're supposed to crucify a young player for taking the gamble and getting it wrong? If it was Edouard on Saturday I'd bet my last dime he wouldn't get the blame for it and it would be Lennon's fault for risking him.}

8.) 30 Jan 2020 00:14:31
There were guys on the live chat saying “if MJ comes off after that tackle, he’s a wimp” now he’s taking rubbish for trying to stay on.

9.) 30 Jan 2020 00:34:31
Watched the game on Celtic TV, When Johnston is coming off and walking to the dugout, the camera goes to Lennon who is sitting with his arms folded and he just tells the young boy to f**k off.
Absolutely disgraceful from Lennon, he may be angry but I don't think he would have spoken to Forrest, McGregor, Forster or Brown like that.

10.) 30 Jan 2020 08:44:05
Ed correct me if I am wrorng, but I wouldn't have thought even a physio of the highest standard could come on and instantly find out exactly how injured someone is. Whenever I've seen a physio, a lot of it is me telling them where the pain is etc. So if Johnstone is saying he can play on and its fine then what more can the physio do or Lennon do? And I have to say I didn't think Lennon told Johnstone to F off. I say F off all the time when something goes wrong and its not aimed at anyone lol And to be honest even if he did tell him to F off, what is so bad about that? If that's as bad as it gets playing pro football at celtic these days then he's doing alright. Or maybe I'm just old fashioned lol.

{Ed007's Note - So what's the point of physios then if that's what you think they do, why not just send on the old dear from the canteen to listen to the player say where the pain is?}

11.) 30 Jan 2020 09:53:07
That’s not what I’m saying and fairly sure you know that. Physios need more time and resources to assess injuries than they have on the football pitch. When they run on they rely on players being honest about where and when there is a problem. Players would also be told to be honest about injuries and Johnstone clearly wasn’t. No wonder Lennon got annoyed.

{Ed007's Note - How many times do players get treatment from physios and are then given time to see how they react to said treatment - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't and they need to come off. A player can say he wants to try and run it off and the physio can disagree and tell the player and manager he wants him off as a precaution, who would the manager listen to?
How do you know Johnston wasn't honest with Tim Williamson, you have absolutely no idea what was said between them yet you believe Lennon didn't tell Johnston to "F**k off" which was clear to everyone.
Would Lennon have been so publicly "annoyed" if it had been Edouard.}

Pretty sure he was one of the top earners wage wise along with McCarthy… I’d let him leave for pretty much nothing n’all as those wages throughout the year all add up.

Can see him obv covering wing but like idea of him in CAM role fighting it out with Hatate, O’Reilly and Turnbull (who I like but still not convinced he’s good enough to be starting in big games if one of the latter is out)

Johnston to Hibs being rumoured which imo would be great deal for all parties involved…

Would like to see Welsh get a full season of games under his belt as well as the our young youth keeper.

Not necessarily, he’s come in with a clean slate, the fans backing him and ability to bring in some players…

Any earlier under the circumstances of last season and with that squad and IMO your looking at a totally different scenario.
