Yea, well played ED. Ten years, must be time for the Tommy Burns Academy. Forever etched in Celtics history, just what he would have wanted.

{Ed007's Note - I've been saying the same since I was only a poster on here, GJ.}

Tommy was a major influence on me falling in love with celtic, I was always going to be a Tim but it was during his reign as manager that I realised what playing the celtic way was all about. God bless you Tommy Burns 🍀🍀🍀.

Brilliant videos posted ED, well done ED 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻 Can’t help but get emotional when you watch things about tommy! He represented everything great about our club and oozed class and dignity. he said he was a fan who got lucky, well we were just as lucky that this great man played managed and represented our football club through his whole life! Gone but he will never ever be forgotten! god bless tommy burns, hail hail YNWA! ☘️💚☘️☘️💚.

I have just watched the video, what a lovely way to mark the anniversary of Tommy's passing.
It was done with such class and dignity which is typical of our great club.
I'm sure Tommy would be looking down on proceedings and would be chuffed to bits.

My mate Brendan Sweeney running the show there, we have been pals since we started school in the same class back in 1972, and we're involved in handing out first leaflets in support of removing the old board, he's a good lad with a big Celtic heart.

Just want to mention Tommy Burns, 10 years has flew in and his legacy still lives on. A true Celt. God Bless TB.

So, Shay Logan is appealing his red card. Go for it pal, then the panel will see your nasty, cowardly swing for Lustig and increase the ban. Hope they look at his twitter account.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

15 May 2018 18:26:01
He's a weird little cretin Rab! Sly done well covering up his swing on lustig though! Hopefully he gets punished very severely by the SFA, Although I won't hold my breath.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 May 2018 19:20:09
There was no “swing” on Lustig. He pushed him in the face after Lustig stuck the head in. Handbags.

Agree1 Disagree0

15 May 2018 20:33:54
Hi Kev, imo I disagree, I can't remember if logan was given a straight red, if so then the officials think it was violent conduct, I agree however that it isn't a swing (my apologies) but he clearly lifts his hands to Lustigs face/ neck, and imo that's not ''handbags'', not to mention his antics last season, launching the ball at Griffiths' head, and more recently kicking the ball deliberately at brown. He clearly has an Agenda towards us and celtic in general.

Agree2 Disagree0

15 May 2018 21:38:27
On the balance of possibility I think Logan is guilty and should get a long ban.

Agree1 Disagree1

15 May 2018 22:31:29
Logan gets it tight off some of our fans because he was racially abused by one of our players. Don’t know why our fans our always on the guys case. He’s hardly to blame to Tonev being a scumbag!

Agree2 Disagree2

16 May 2018 11:03:56
I’d like to hope Celtic fans haven’t given him stick because of the Tonev incident. At the end of the day Tonev was found guilty and should have been punted straight away.
However shay Logan has a massive chip on his shoulder when it comes to Celtic and isn’t doing himself any favours.
A quick scroll through his twitter soon shows he’s not the brightest. He certainly loved pumping us 1-0 on Sunday😂.

Agree1 Disagree1

16 May 2018 12:02:46
@Brandan95, it was deserving of a red card but wasn't anywhere near as bad as some people are trying to make out.

@LM67 and AndyH93 I agree with you both. The booing of Logan started straight after the Tonev thing which was pretty shocking IMO but since then he's done his fair share of things to keep it simmering so next season when he gets a bad reception at CP it will be well deserved after Sunday.

Agree2 Disagree1

16 May 2018 21:45:45
I Agree Andy, I can't really remember Tonev that much, but I agree he shouldn't be anywhere near our club! I dislike Logan due to his antics with Brown, Griff and now Lustig, not because he was subjected to racial abuse then reported it.

Kev I have looked at the incident a couple of times and its not AS bad as I first thought, but its still cheeky, and like you said, deserving of a red card.

15 May 2018 17:49:09

Totally agree Stan hopefully it's asap.

15 May 2018 20:07:46
Just need someone with a bit of experience in this type of thing to lead the way Pud. Reckon it would be self funded by the fans within a day. HH.

16 May 2018 00:46:38
Getting a sculpture commissioned should be easy enough and as you say the fans would raise the amount needed.

Hi all, with the transfer window opening soon, I've been looking at some realistic transfer targets. These are just my thoughts only and i'd like to hear other peoples thoughts.

Brian Cufre (LB) but can probably play (RB) (CM) - Plays for Velez and is Argentinian, Very fast, tricky player with an eye for a pass and is very robust defensively.

Cristian Romero (CB) but can play (RB) - Plays for Belgrano and again is Argentinian, Solid defender and quite pacey, no nonsense but doubt he'd be keen on playing triangles around the defence.

Lucas Rodriguez (AM) But can play (LW and RW) - Plays for Estudiantes and Argentinian again, this guy is a real gem. Very quick and skilful, and is highly rated in Argentina, valued at only £2-3million, playing in Europe his value would rocket up.

Zakaria Bakkali (LW) - Plays for Deportivo La Coruna and is Belgian/ Morrocan, I remember watching Eredivise a couple years ago, and Bakkali was a really promising player for PSV, He was sought after in Europe, and at 22 has kind of dipped under the radar, very skilful and fast.

Sorry for the long post guys, and if you are bored or anything, check these guys out on YouTube. I know anyone can look good on YouTube, but they are young, and cheap.

Also ED, have you heard any updates on Leo Mazis and Karamoko? Will we see either of them in Pre-season, or do you not know, Thanks!

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - I'd be surprised to see either of them and I don't think there were will be many pointless friendlies in preseason with us playinf four CL qualifiers.}

15 May 2018 11:15:06
We were linked to Bakkali before he went to Valencia. Talented player but no end product. We need players in the wider areas to be consistent and BR has talked in the past that the attacking players need to contribute with goals.

We could put up a list of literally hundreds. We will just need to wait and see. The guessing games, inside info, taxi driver intelligence, your brothers mates, sister who used to work in Greggs and sold a pie to Lawell, who confided in her our plans.

The guy who sits beside a guy who sat beside a guy at a funeral. :)

The Twitter make it up aff the tap ay their heeds, will be out in force.

Mental season on its way. From a taxi driver near you.

15 May 2018 18:29:07
Thanks for clearing that up ED. I agree about speculating and i'm not one to say I have sources here and there, but they are just some players who i'd like us to look at, however I know players from the Americas never really perform here.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - There's nothing wrong with posting about players you've seen and you'd like to sign, Brendan.}

15 May 2018 08:23:32
Have you seen who the announcer is on Saturday!? Michael Buffer haha! What a coup by the SFA.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

15 May 2018 08:11:01
Stunned! reading through the posts i saw a YPF post damning a show of support for Palestine, are you serious? Have you seen the slaughter over there? This needs to be publicised as the MSM will not tell the facts. Remember what this great club was founded for.

We are watching as people are being shot DEAD and critically injured fro sniper fire. And YPF thinks go and get a gun not hide behind a flag is a suitable response? Sorry about the politico ED but i find that amazing.

Believable7 Unbelievable5

15 May 2018 10:08:07
Ypf has seen witnessed at first hand people killing themselves over religion/ race/ land/ power/ greed.

I don't know how old you are fgimarktwo, but my post is we should be waving flags for the celtic football club and not for political reason. If you are young everything will become clear to you when the time is right.
The celtic banter page is a football page and chat for football
(why i joined) not political. although their is room for tangents
I suggested the person or persons who feel the need to save these people should join them in their struggle. If that takes a weapon or peace campaign so bit it their choice.

@Fgimarktwo sometimes we are too scared to look in the mirror to see who the killers are, or were, and who paid money to support their fight. There is no freedom with the hand of a gun only death and destruction and the people suffer.

Support your team enjoy yourselves and live life. Hail Hail.

Agree2 Disagree3

{Ed001's Note - by your reckoning, no one should give money to charity unless they are prepared to run a marathon for the cause then? Everyone should surely do what they can, no matter how small it is, to help or the world will stay a mess if we all take your blasé attitude to it.}

15 May 2018 10:50:16
Ed my bottom line is do something about it at if you feel the need to do it. but not at a football stadium. simples.

Agree2 Disagree3

{Ed001's Note - they are doing something....whether you disagree or not it is their right to protest.}

15 May 2018 11:15:02
@YPF. I am a fifty eight year old man who frankly could do without your condescending attitude. Why would age be relevant here? Are there not any young people who have done the research and are educated on the subject?

You claim, and i do not disbelieve you, you have seen people kill over the usual causes. This was the norm in an age before we can see for ourselves, sometimes within seconds, atrocities around the world. Now we know who profits from war, and who the real victims are, you think we should not protest against this?

You ask who paid the money to cause such death and destruction? Why good old blighty helped by supplying arms to any despot with cash. This Disunited Kingdom, and we have no right to protest or take a side? On the football ground being an appropriate place? look at the coverage and the awareness raised by it. Surely the very core point of the exercise.

One thing to remember is we as a fan base doubled the fine that was wrongly, in my opinion, levied on us. that's something to be proud of. That's the Celtic way.

Agree4 Disagree2

15 May 2018 11:17:10
This again 😂.

Let the people sing. Let them wave flags too.

Agree3 Disagree0

15 May 2018 11:19:58
The point Ed. I never disagreed with people's right to protest, i disagree with it being at at football game. I can't make it any clearer than that.

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - and so do I, but that is the point, I just disagree not think I can come on and give it all the holier-than-thou crap and tell them they should do something else. Everyone has the right to choose. They choose to show their displeasure via a few flags, I really do not see why you think you have a right to tell them how to act.}

15 May 2018 11:38:07
@fgjmarktwo respect your comments, condescending, let me apologise on the way it came across. I feel that we should be steering away from politics in football.

Agree0 Disagree3

15 May 2018 11:34:00
not telling anyone how to act ed, suggested that there are other ways rather than football games.

Agree0 Disagree2

{Ed001's Note - no, you told them that they should go and take up arms if they disagreed rather than waving a flag. That is telling someone how to act.}

15 May 2018 12:26:20
@YPF, thank you for the apology a misunderstanding mate. Cheers.

15 May 2018 14:13:23
What Israel is doing and getting away with must be the greatest scandal in the world Is it simply because of the vast richness of Jewish people in all the rich established Countries in the World . Do these people donate millions to the English Tory party, to both the Republican &? Democrats in the United States and to ruling parties in other Countries .
I am not sure about above, I have never fully understand this whole scinario .
If someone about Isreal's treatment of the Palestinians then they are labelled anti Zionists.

Agree2 Disagree0
