Is it any wonder BR left when you see the carry on in Scottish football just now, bottles and coins thrown at players and managers, seats being ripped out of stadiums, constant hatred and sectarian singing at games and the worst standard of refereeing you will ever see. Personally I think he will be glad to see the back of it all and I for one can't blame him for that. Just gutted at the manner of his departure that is all.

{Ed007's Note - You do know that England is one of the countries UEFA are monitoring because of the behaviour of fans and rise in racism? That stuff had absolutely nothing to do with Rodgers decision to walk out on us at this point in the season and it's wrong to suggest otherwise.}

Ed spot on Rodgers would manage The KKK if the money was right. 👍 These characters are pollutions though.

Some amount of excuses being trundled out for reasons to justify the rats leaving. He’s a self obsessed barsteward and left for his ego and salary. Good riddance.

No I never knew that ed to be fair and I'm not saying that is why he left either, just pointing out that we do have a big problem with this stuff here in Scotland and nobody seems to be too bothered about it.

Yes I am gutted he left when he did, being the first manager in our history to do so?

I prefer the guy we have now anyway 👍.

{Ed007's Note - Yeah there's clubs in England (I can't remember if it's 7 or 9) and there's 2 in Scotland - as well a loads on the continent - that have been identified as having problematic fans. Now the interesting thing is the SFA are arguing to UEFA that there isn't a problem to deal with whilst it's all over the news and press.}

CB 👍Well rid.

Just more excuses to criticise our own fans and football here tbh

One minute it's smoke bombs that's the problem but no complaints breathing in poisonous car fumes everyday going to work.

{Ed007's Note - I think it's down to everybody's own personal feelings of where 'the line' is. I think we all agree throwing coins or bottles etc is @rsehole behaviour & running onto the park to confront opposition players, but when it comes to flares and songs there's always going to be a difference of opinion.
The astounding thing about any of this is that there's some Celtic supporters that think songs about Irish Republicanism is sectarian, and then there's the age old argument of whether 'Orange' is actually a religion? Would it be seen as sectarian for saying 'F**k the KKK'? There's a whole world of difference between what Protestants and the Orange Order believe in and promote but there's a fine - if blurred - line between the OO and the KKK.}

England is a hotspot for football casuals, far worse behaviour than here in Scotland.

04 Mar 2019 19:22:07
If I were to hazard a guess I would say the huns and the mini huns ed?

{Ed007's Note - No, it's us and TRIFC.}

04 Mar 2019 20:05:04
Nobody is capable of losing the plot watching Celtic more than me but if ye throw coins and bottles at opposing players or fans from a distance you’re a ball less ball s&ite bag.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

04 Mar 2019 20:25:25
Exactly ed. Most common sense. Most of those moaning don't even have an answer for that.

Lots of it comes down to some form of snobbery or something.

Also the snowflake generation. When I go to old firm games I'd far rather be called a Fenian B than swap scarfs and shake hands

I've never been once offended at any of their chants, couldn't care less. No idea why people get so soft over it.

{Ed007's Note - The half 'n' half scarfers 🤮🤮🤮🤮

04 Mar 2019 20:48:24
Tesla, same here couldn’t give a flying feck what they sing was always just grateful I didn’t have a red, white and blue scarf to be honest.

04 Mar 2019 21:55:03
Seems to be something driven by most people and media outside of the old firm

Offended on our behalf or something.

All acting like they are the best behaved outside these clubs or in england etc.

Old firms a scapegoat and almost an agenda to change something about it.

Most fans of either side are happy to mutually hate each other 😂

No big deal. Same way schools and TV always make it out to be a religious issue when that's not exactly true. King Billy was supported by the pope etc.

Other wars were political and not sectarian at all.

But they refuse to talk about the actual history behind it at schools then blame delinquents for being uneducated on it lol. Stop force feeding them WW2 stuff at school so much. Mix it up.

The bottle mentioned in the Hibs statement, thrown from the Celtic end seems to have disappeared . I haven't seen it anywhere, I was wondering was it a bottle of Buckie or Blue Nun .
I hope there was no bottle and it was just Hibs getting carried away.
