If Nancy lasts until February then I think there might be too much to do for our new Manager.

I still believe Celtic will win the league even if we go a handful of points behind in January.
I had to laugh at the Supercomputer giving Hearts a 85% chance of winning the league because it should be more like 15%.

Hearts have only played 2 midweek games this season and they dropped points in both.
Celtic have played 11 midweek fixtures and Sevco have played 14 midweek games this season.

Celtic have also had to deal with away games after every single International break and rescheduled away league matches because we got to the league cup final.
Sevco got home games instead.

It will soon be a level playing field with no more European distractions and only one more International break, when once again our players come back to a league away match.

Nancy won't last until February and Celtic will bring in a goalscorer or two in January.
It looks horrible just now but our team is still the best in Scotland and it will show over 38 league games with better guidance than Nancy.

It will be a straight shootout between Celtic and Sevco.
That's why I want Hearts to win on Sunday.

Great post Buzz; Winning the League could be a tall order right now because the Board have backed Nancy publicly and the transfer window is less than 2 weeks away. Of course I believe we have the strongest squad (when fully fit) and the experience of champions, but the damage being done to the players confidence and self-belief under Nancy is giving every opponent we play a boost and even goals of a start.

Where we go if and when WN is relieved of duty is a huge factor in defining our season and this Board's decision making worries me.
Even if Celtic beat Aberdeen on Sunday. I still think we could slip up at any time while opposing managers continue to suss him out.

Ask yourself these questions buzz.

Do you see the fans relenting in their condemnation of the board?

Do you see the board relenting and admitting all their faults and mending bridges with the fans?

I don't and for that reason, I don't see our fortunes on the pitch changing. They can have a cracking transfer window but the new players are entering this toxic environment and it is clear that our team do not perform well under this environment.

{Ed007's Note - I've put the latest from the Fans Collective up on that page of the forum and the main Rumours page.

Cheers ed.

The board are shameful and only making matters worse by trying to portray themselves as the victims of us big Celtic fans.

Even on radio Clyde you had that clown keevens blaming all the Celtic fans of having a hate campaign against the board.

{Ed007's Note - If they want to call it a hate campaign then so be it - but that hatred is two-way street.
A wise man once said, hatred is a very underestimated emotion.... I hate them for making me hate.}

I believe a MON appointment until the end of the season and a striker will be enough to see Celtic win another title.
Or a Manager who will go back to a similar formation to what our players are used to.

A Willie Haughey as Chairman appointment would be a good start to help defuse tensions within the club.
Our fans won't stop until Nicholson is gone and maybe also McKay especially after mocking our fans at Tannadice.

No chance of getting rid of DD but the other 2 will eventually go.

{Ed007's Note - Could Beaker Nicholson be "demoted" back to his past role where anonymity is acceptable?}

19 Dec 2025 20:05:13
That would give us the best chance buzz but I would add a right winger to that list and make 2-3 high calibre loan signings.

DD will build Nivolson up yo be the fall guy, MoN as chairman will b good but need more than a striker BB, def a commanding strong n very fast Cb and a tricky fast winger who can cross.

19 Dec 2025 20:34:14
That could be a compromise Ed to help safe face for both Nicholson and DD.

{Ed007's Note - ??

Them big bad Celtic fans eh. Wait till a few months when they are after the season ticket cash. All the Celtic haters jumped the gun at the photo of a guy pointing his finger saying it's a blade!

Must be some on board hitting self preservation mode, they can't all be in agreement and united, Nicholson is apparently a die hard, doesn't mean he's doing a good job, others something else for him to do so be it, surely this is about accountability, the more it goes on then divide widens with divide is resentment and that not good for anyone or club,

I know it's now indefinite but what's the latest between gb and club, I'm assuming no change.

Guys, they can move them all around on the board but as long as there is no massive clear out, they will still lie down amd have DD tickle their belly's.

We need board members who act like board members and challenge decisions they disagree with and do not allow a shareholder to bully them.

MON does not have the experience to be a Chairman or CEO.

He may become a non Executive board member but I think the board will remain DD's pawns to ensure his authority is not challenged.
