Scotland have now dropped out of the top 15 in the Association Coefficient Table.
Scotland have went from 14th place to 17th place after that last round of games.
I think the Scottish Champions can forget about getting an automatic CL place for the foreseeable future.
That's why it was crucial for Celtic to win the 3 league titles when the CL automatic place was the reward for 3 consecutive seasons.
I would prefer Scotland to finish outside the top 15 in the Coefficient table because we would lose that 2nd CL place in the league path.
We all know Celtic will continue to win the league title and then try and Qualify for the CL each season.
Sevco would then start in the Europa League Qualifiers each season.
Mind The Gap sign will remain.

Does that mean only 1 CL spot for the winners of 25/ 26?

How many qualifiers would we need to play going forward then?

I’m not sure Weejoe although I think it might start from the following season.
For example Scotland are sitting in 11th place for the start of the CL 2025/ 26 season although we finished in 14th place last season.
I think it might work one season behind.
So if Scotland finish outside the top 15 in the 2025/ 26 season we will only get one place for the start of the 2027/ 28 season.
We would still keep 2 places next season due to us finishing in 14th place last season if that makes sense.

wyllie the Scottish Champions would need to win 3 Qualifiers because we would start in the 2nd Qualifying round.
The Scottish Cup Winners would go into the Europa League Qualifiers.
The Scottish League runners up would go into the second Qualifying round of the CONFERENCE LEAGUE and would also need to win 3 Qualifiers just to get to the group stages.
