Robinson bumping his gums think he needs to watch a rerun of the game, enhles held the ball at the corner flag for about 2 seconds which apparently means we were time wasting, never mind the game being one way traffic and the woodwork getting walloped a few times, turning into mciness.

I think if you’re the St Mirren manager, and you’re trying to take some sort of positive from the game, then pointing to Celtic wasting time is actually a huge compliment. Whether we like it or not, walking away with a 1-0 was never a stick on at that point, and fair play to St Mirren for the way they set up.

We shouldn't praise teams who play anti football against us.
If you watch their next game and all their games against every other team they will not set up and play like that.
I get why they and all other teams do it and it effects they way we play but it is as boring as hell to watch, hoping you get one chance in 90 minutes to score and spend the game behind the ball 30 yeards out from your goal.
Almost all our leagues games are like that and it must affect our players when CL games come because few teams set up like that.
We are in a catch 22.

Maeda, how do you think they should play? Only last year people were saying WE should have set up tight and compact rather than go toe to toe with Dortmund.
I thought Robinson got his tactics right this past weekend, and he almost snuck a point at Parkhead which would have been a great result for them. I understand your desire to see Celtic play open games every weekend but based on the gulf I don’t see that happening in the near future.

If you read my post, I said I understand why they did/ do it but it does make games boring, that is my point.
Our games are very rarely contested, teams come to play us with a negative game plan and that effects them when they get a chance to play in Europe.
Attacking, attractive free flowing football is non existent in our league and the majority of managers tactics are based on low block.
It makes our product boring and unattractive.

I did read your post Maeda which is why I replied, I wasn’t trying to be snidy. Simply pointing out that St Mirren set up well just as we do at times in Europe.
IMO the low block should force us to improve how clinical or creative we are. Granted it won’t test us at the back but if we’re all about attractive, free flowing football then surely when we come up against teams that don’t sit back we’ll see that at its best.

It’s a bad sign when Celtic supporters feel they should praise an anti- football team rather than their own team who always try to take the game to the opposition and deliver some entertainment.
I fully understand why every fan has a perfect right to criticise what he sees as wrong within his club, it should be possible to find something to praise every so often.

It’s an even worse sign when some fans try to twist things to make out that either of us were criticizing our club in the conversation above. Credit due to St Mirren for making it difficult for us, is praise to Celtic for eventually breaking them down.
It’s almost as if you’re in a mission to turn fans against each other with posts like that.

I must not try to find something positive to say about the club I supported since the mid 1960’s and are currently having the most successful period domestically in their 137 yr history.
Many seem to think that the sign of a true Celtic fan is be at loggerheads with our Board, but in fairness to these fans they all know more about running a top SPL team than our Board individually and collectively.
