Right lads who are we most excited about seeing this season? Kyogo obviously will get bums off seats. I can't wait to see McCarthy fully fit. Hoping that he is ever fully fit and has a run of games.

A lot hinges on McCarthy if he can produce the goods we’re sorted the others will ie. Kyogo, Abada, Juranovic and big George up front et al.

Once McCarthy is fit, he will be a big player for us, especially against the Sevconians . He offers us something a bit different to the others, when Christie was there alongside turnbull and McGregor, it was all down to Callum to protect the back 4. Hopefully he can sit in there and give us that but more protection .

Why is McCarthy not fit. So he missed preseason he should be training on his own he old enough to know what to do.
And he should always be ready to to play. Was he injured etc. Is he that good that he's Gona take McGregor place or soro.

Andy there is general fitness then match fitness. He needs game time to get up to speed. He'll slot in the midfield along with McGregor I'd imagine. Soro is no where near good enough to keep anyone out the team.

Im on fence about McCarthy mainly because of what IV read on here as few say injury prone etc.
I get match fitness quick anaerobic fitness which is tough. But you can train yourself for this depending on your own will power. Kyogo and many others where out for a while and then played for us he kept his level up same as a few others. The difference for each player is how much do you let yourself go and how quickly do you want it back so the secret there is don't stop. A typical example is Griff living the gd life dumping food plans, ( not diet ) all out the window
letting himself go then chasing match fitness all year. Impossible to do.
So a footballer let's say Rinaldo and many other won't have much downtime a few weeks off now and then is great recovery you come back fitter stronger. You will also find these players will jog every day hit the gym most days so as to keep the body ready. the only thing they won't do is play a game so few weeks intense training they should be match fit depending on how much they rested for. I hope I'm wrong about McCarthy as on here you have said he is amazing I don't know anything about him I was just wondering why it's taking him so long to get match fit. My final point is has he been picked for his country and how long has it been since he's played regular for his country not just now and again. As this is always a gd sign as to how game time is going and how consistent you are playing before you get picked for your country.

I can't wait to see Jota or the big Greek or Juranovic playing rb this season those three along with Abada and kyogo really excite me.
