Good evening Ed

Some quick queries for you, I'd be interested in your view

1. In your opinion, if we make no new additions from now, do you still see us winning the SPFL if we hold on to all of our current squad?

2. If we make no new additions, and lose any of the current squad, is there a specific player that you think leaving would put the SPFL at risk?

3. Do you think it conceivable or likely that Celtic will hold on to Eddy for whole season BUT spend money now on his replacement to bed him in or do you think we won't have the stomach for that, ie will we sell then buy?

4. On formations, TRFC aside, would you go with 3 5 2 home and away as the default ot 4 2 3 1 with the 3 being forrest Moi and Christie?

5. Do you think we have enough quality right now to make it to the champions league group stages?

6. Do you think the C.V. 1 game format, other than the play off rounds, helps or hinders us?

7. If Roofe at TRFC is the ( allegedly) new highest paid player in scotland, where are they getting all this money from when they are ( allegedly ) skint?

8. On Forreet, I think he is maturing and relaxing in to becoming an absolute gem of a player. Do you agree and can we trust him in the TRFC games

9. On eddy, when he goes. what do you think his level is and what fee do you think he can generate for the club?

10. If you could make JUST ONE signing more, who would it be ( be realistic! )

Interested in your views. These were the general themes being discussed last week at work at the Celtic canteen table ( specially distanced)

Beyond that, hope all well.

{Ed007's Note - FFS!! 😂😋😂 Yeah I'm doing fine buddy, thanks.

1. Yes.

2. Losing Edouard would be a disaster.

3. Yes, we done it bringing in Edouard while Dembele was here and I think that might be the reasoning behind the Toney interest.

4. I think Lennon's default formation will still be the 4-2-3-1.

5. It depends on the draw but I'm not overly confident with Lennon in charge after last years balls-ups.

6. Again it'll depend on the draw and whether we're home or away.

7. I doubt Roofe is the highest paid player in Scotland. TRIFC have season ticket money, sponsorship money, prize money and the money from that membership scheme they started - plus they will be selling Morelos - so it's not that hard to see where the money's coming from. Remember transfer fees are rarely put in full up front.
Their financial problems will come when that money runs and they need more money to finish the season.

8. I've never been Forrest's biggest fan and I'll admit he has really improved over the last couple of years but he needs to show more regularly in Europe and especially in the Glasgow derbies.

9. I don't think Edouard is ready to be the main man at a club the size of a Man Utd or Liverpool or back to PSG - that's not to say he won't eventually - but for now he would be better off playing regularly for a team like Arsenal or even Leicester or maybe replacing Dembele at Lyon for a couple of seasons and then he'll show his true worth.
The Edouard fee will be between £35 - £40 million if it's this summer, next summer if he doesn't sign a contract extension it'll drop down to somewhere between £20 - £30 million depending on how the transfer market is at the time and how he does this season, there will likely be a sell-on clause too.}

10. James McClean - obviously!

Agree1 Disagree0
