I tend to agree with Jim1972, you'd think that when pen was put to paper NL or JM would give a big brother or father figure chat to young Mr Griffiths. Spell out exactly the standards expected. No booze ups with yer old mates, no argie bargies, no thoughtless Internet posts etc. Lay it on thick, make it crystal clear there will be consequences if Celtic's name is associated with adverse press or opinion. Then there will be no excuses.
Alas, like Jim1972 I feel this was not the case and everyone just assumed Leigh would know better. Some guys really do need eyeballed and lectured. LG is absolootly defintootly in need of strong guidancee

I see Celtic have said season ticket prices will stay at this season's prices, so £100 off all round again, well done the board for this.
Also to be congratulated are wee Albion Rovers who have said to fans "pay what you can afford" for a season ticket, thinking out the box, so well done the Albion chairman. I hope they get well rewarded.
My final point on season tickets is that I read an article that Sevco had arranged a party, arrogantly thinking they would walk away with the Ramsden Cup. Apparently a photo shoot with Sally and the cup was all arranged, to be followed by a request for season tickets with a hike in prices hidden among the feel good factor.
Three different teams in 3 different leagues and their thinking on commercial avenues, two teams are to be praised, one to be condemned, I will let you all make up your minds which club that is.

Who cares about sevco? Nobody! Your obsessed by them! Sevco this sevco that! Really don't give a flyer about them

DN30, GIRUY, this is the banter page and I for one love to laugh at all things Sevco. When they were cheatin their way to the 2nd team to Acheive 9 in a Row (I was a Member of HM Forces then) I took loads of slaggings and pelters from their supporters, so I for one want to laugh and discuss them. I am not obsessed but just love to laugh and slagg them down. Hail Hail

@DN30 I am with tim on this 1, no one can discuss them or laff at them without you havin a go. WE have discussed this before YOU talk about them, maybe not on here but to your friends and family i'm sure. Its what football fans do, they talk about their biggest rivals (oh I done it now lol).And before the high horse comes out if they not our biggest rivlals answer this. When they get to the premiership what is the only home game that will be a sellout?(prob twice over).

@DN30 don't usually give two replies to these type of negative posts but speaking for myself, I like to a) post daft songs and stories about Sevco, b) remind everyone all the cheating they have done over the years, c) come down strongly on their continuing arrogance when you laugh at them they cannot take it, and yes I am a wind up merchant who enjoys the banter pages and catching silly bears/ostriches/ra peepil etc on my well baited hooks (looks like I can now include you on the end of fishing line )
PS DN30 a message from Mrs T if you are serious about me, she is prepared to discuss a dowry with you (she promises not to be hard to deal with lol)

I have posted what I think should happen to Griffiths who has let the club and all us Celtic fans down, he is an person and an embarrassment end of story.
But that also angered me was he gave the Scottish press exactly what they needed to deflect away from Sevco's embarrassing defeat. Front page headlines and back page of him and very little of the newco's embarrassment.
This is the same press that built the Ramsdens Cup up all week yet now say it is not important.
Also 21 fans arrested "for minor offences" yet little made of it, apparently violence is ok but singing a stupid song is a terrible crime.
Hypocrisy at it's best from the Scottish press.

Nothing surprises me about the Scottish MSM Tim. If this had been a role reversal we would have been all over the front and back pages. Scottish sports journalists have been nailing their colours to the wall for years with their openly biased reporting.
All we can hope for is that sorry mob finally go bust and disappear from the scene once and for all. Then what will these sycophants write about?

Ed - can you do a poll on the Griffiths incident, Should he be sacked/sold or kept.

I'm not sure what to make of it, I know he comes with a history of problems but its hard to find a proven goalscorer and in leigh we have just that.

We where a club made for irish immigrants and I think with that in mind, the club will not stand for this. But I hope we will heavily fine him and make him do a lot of community work before he plays again.

My thoughts on Griffiths are that club should fine him £20,000 minimum and give to a reputable refugee charity, suspend him for rest of season and make him also do some community work, maybe even working with refugees.
