Gary hooper best strike rate in Britan & 4th in Europe.

Jelavic..... Erm he's a '12m player'

Intresting facts

Lenny

Believable4 Unbelievable5

That is interesting indeed. For some reason I believed Jellyfish was the more prolific striker.

ChrisBhoy

Agree1 Disagree1

Aye and how long was Jelavic out of action for again? Typical pointless post! {Ed007's Note - Did you read the post? It is games played against goals scored, injuries don't come into the equation. Makes your post a bit pointless doesn't it?}

Agree1 Disagree4

Gary Hooper has played 3 more games Jelavic could overtake him in they 3 games.

BB1 {Ed007's Note - What's your point caller? Seriously mate what are you talking about? This makes no sense to me at all. Jelavic might sprout wings and prove to be a reincarnation of Batfink, it wouldn't make any difference to the stats though. *rolls eyes* (for the second time today)

Agree0 Disagree2

Edd said it earlier so ..... Take a bow

Lenny {Ed007's Note - No wonder Lenny mate, I think some people just type things regardless if they are relevant, or even make any sense.}

Agree1 Disagree2

Hooper is the striker i'd have every week, he's always in the right place at the right time. Rankers fans may hark on about Hooper scoring from inside six yard box but that suits our style of play. Also he drops off and links up well. Hooper rose through the ranks of non league and i personally think he is hungrier to succeed than Jellyfish, who is looking to move on asap!

DazzaBhoy

Agree1 Disagree1

Said that on the rangers page hooper wants a new deal he's happy here for just now, this is what I mean in jan. jelavic will have a list of teams in his head who he wants to go to, if they bid then he's off like a rocket. Saying that so could any of the Celtic players but money talks. Like how hooper wants a new deal unlike as u say dazzabhoy jellyfish wants off

Edd 100% argee, some people make mistakes. Easy done. But some folk don't think b4 typing

Lenny {Ed007's Note - Mistakes and questions I can handle mate, it's the nonsense that grinds us all Eds down, we have our own designated councillor that helps keep us sane!}

Agree0 Disagree1

How many of jellyfish's goals have been penalties. I dont remember hooper scoring many. I think that proves hooper is more prolific.
Remember a few years ago bazza ferguson scored bout 15 goals in 1 season alot of people forgot to mention that bout 12 of them were pens.

pedro sanchez

Agree3 Disagree0

Rangers top scorer every season is their penalty taker.they should let mcgregor take their pens.can you imagine a goalkeeper with 30 goals in a season?

Agree5 Disagree0

With jelavic and hooper its the whole Boyd v Larsson thing all over again ..... Hooper is a more prolific player Jelavic is a better player.

Germinator

Agree4 Disagree3

Hooper is the better in the box striker without a shadow of a doubt. He's a more complete kris Boyd from a point of view he gets in the positions to score the drop downs in the box. Jelavic has to work a lot more for his goals that aren't penalties. They are both totally different players. The only thing they have I'm common is they are strikers

Agree0 Disagree0

Its laughable how celtic fans think hooper is better all he does is score tap ins! jelavic has so much ability and is very skillful and technical. has hooper ever scored an overhead kick or 2? no. jelavic is worth more and their is more interest for him. whats hooper going to be doing during the euros in 2012? {Ed007's Note - The same as Samaras probably. Samaras plays with the team that topped Croatia's qualifying group BTW in case you weren't sure.}

Agree0 Disagree1

Scoring every week wins you games which Hooper does, against real opposition! (rennes, rangers, udinese) Jellyfish does score the more extravagant goals, overhead, freekick, but neither player would go for over £6 million. Any one who believes they would command transfers of £8, £10 or 12 million is sadly deluded!

DazzaBhoy

Agree1 Disagree0

They will go for whatever a team will pay for them ..... not what there worth ....... If I were a mid table team in the EPL id take Hooper AND Jelly in the same team in a heart beat .... would happuly pay 8m for both EACH ...... i truly believe they two would be an awesome patnership.

Germinator

Agree0 Disagree1

Germ, well seeing your not a chairman/manager of a EPL club! Paying £8m for a player that is injury prone and looks disinterested isn't that smart son!

But your entitled to your view.

I heard there is a possiblity that Sion might cause man utd to get recalled back into champ league? U heard this ? Apparantly Uefa might be looking into kicking out Swiss teams due to them going against UEFA in the recent Sion case and UEFA might punish them by kicking out all Swiss teams in europ meaning that Man Utd would be back in the CL?

Germinator {Ed007's Note - I said at the time that UEFA could take action over the whole situation. If they do though I would hope it would be next season, Basel have done absolutely nothing wrong and it would be wrong to punish them for something another club or their FA done. They are in the CL through merit and deserve to keep their place in the tournament. BTW Germ mate......I owe you a slap....you know why ;-)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Yeah I agree Uefa have totally lost the plot this year ..... easily the most farcical i can remember (or maybe we now get to find out about the things goin on there)...... and c'mon ed ... i should get a medal for that ..... lol with that amount of general crap i spouted i coulda been mistaken for Mr G Speirs haha !

Germinator {Ed007's Note - I would never class anyone like that kn*b mate!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Speirs, Guidi, Keevins, Leckie and Jackson all of them are all helping destroy football in this country, the way the so biasedly (is that a word?!) put across their views without a shred of evidence kills our rep in a time were football is at its lowest in scotland these 5 make more of a killing than ever ......... ask yourself how and why ! as far as they 5 are concerned long live bigotry ! scumbags they are

Germinator {Ed007's Note - Germ mate, Spiers is lower than a Daschund's b*llocks. Have a look at what some of your fellow Rangers fans said about an incident during the summer. I think you will agree he is on a different level of ignorance to the rest you mentioned:

forum.rangersmedia.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=192424

Agree0 Disagree0

Defo ed he is the worst ... he always has an opinion on things even those where he has no knowledge. They all feed of the bigotry card ...... now bigotry exists obv but it is not even a speck on what it was 5/10/15/20 yr ago how much was written then ?

just read the article there ...... that guy has no boundries .... i dont for one second believe that is his POV but u know why he has said it ...... no remorse to the implications that it could have ....... wonder what his stance would be had it been his daughter ?!

never forget the day the whole of East End Park stood .... dunfermline fans and gers fans united to sing Graham Speirs ur a W$*ker ur a W$*ker ..... for a solid 15 mins till he got out the gantry and left !

Speirs i pray for your commupence !

Germinator {Ed007's Note - They just throw out stuff to court controversy, sell papers and get people to phone their shows. If people woke up and realised this they wouldn't pander to their phone in shows and that would maybe wake THEM up a bit.}

ps guys check out the definition of the word success .... its to achieve the goals set out by oneself or others.

In this case im pretty sure gers would have targetted being top of the league for christmas ... a target they have reached so SO FAR this season he has been succesful. the meaning of success is not : To win something....... {Ed007's Note - I thought the target would have been to be top in May, like most managers he should set targets for the end of the season, not Christmas. Should Man Utd sack AF as they aren't top of the league at Christmas and out of the CL? He is a total failure isn't he? And now you know what goals Rangers and McCoist set themselves. Why didn't you continue this on the thread you made a fool of yourself on? It still doesn't make him the most successful manager is Scotland does it?}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ps guys check out the definition of the word success .... its to achieve the goals set out by oneself or others.

I am quite sure that Fat Sally and MrSyhte had more goals than that. I would imagine that being in Europe for more that 1 month and hopefully beyond Christmas would have been a big goal so your new post is now a complete FAIL.

Ian

Agree1 Disagree1

Lol i meant to add it to the original post ..... as if u didnt know it was me .... let me guess it got mixed up with all the other posts today :oP.

and lol ed u didnt answer my questions ..... Ill say right now celtic are the best form team in scotland that much is obvious but so far this season we have been better hence why were top.......

And yes WS time in charge was described as succesful he nearly qualified from a group with two of the finalists and a semi finalst ...... any realist would have put scotland as long shots in that group. So If Lambert keeps Norwich up or if by some miracle they finished 2nd in his debut season you would not consider that a success??! c'mon ed .......

ps ed u never answered the question that i asked if gers are top (which they are) it ill be because they have a better squad, no?. Well not a single celtic fan will say gers have a better team does that mena they all think gers have a better manager? {Ed007's Note - Who has said Rangers aren't top of the league? They have obviously won more games than CFC have D'UH!! Are Rangers fan happy with recent performances? Out of 2 European tournaments and one domestic one while building up a lead in the league that has been chipped down to 4 points now. He has been eliminated from every cup tournament he has entered so far as manager at the first hurdle. WTF has a newly promoted team to the EPL got to do with it? You still have not shown anything to prove that McCoist is the most successful manager in Scotland and you are starting to bore not only me, but probably everyone else. You can't back up your statement and are clutching at any straw you can find.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Possibly Ian but his priority "as with ecery OF manager) is the league and both managers will have targetted to be top come midway point (as well as May obv) ..... one manager will achieve this goal this year. {Ed007's Note - *rolls eyes*

Agree0 Disagree0

Edd I love your posts me lol

Love it when someone has a 'fact' & you blow it to bits give me alot of LOL

Lenny {Ed007's Note - Thanks Lenny.}

Agree0 Disagree0

This has fair kept me entertained this afternoon - Mrs E :)

Agree0 Disagree0

So NoName what you are saying is that if you dont meet your targets set then change them to suit.

success .... its to achieve the goals set out by oneself or others
So from your quote about goals being set then Fat Sally is a fail. Surely he had more goals than just the league or was being knocked out of all cup comps entered one of his goals. If that was a goal for Fat Sally then yes he has been a great success.
Rangers Goals season 2011/12

1. Out of Europe
2. Out of League Cup
3. Out of Scottish Cup by January
4. Top of league at Christmas

3 out of 4 with one pending then yes he has been a great succes.
