With regards to the post below about BDO possibly voiding the sale of the assets to Green, where has this all come from?
I have read about it on many rumour boards, but cant find any news items about it. Anyone any ideas?

Also read a good comparison about it on another site which goes:

"A car dealership runs up massive debts, can't pay them so brings in Administrators. The Administrators then sell off their assets in order to pay off creditors, though they realize that no matter how much they sell it is still going to be a massive shortfall. So they decide to sell off company cars for £1 each. This of course is a gross undervaluation of what a car is worth and the liquidators can revoke the sale of the car. "

Does this really mean that Green/SEVCO could still lose Ibrox and Murray Park (or have to pay a more realistic market value for them)?

Is it just me or is this whole debacle nowhere near finished?

On a separate note, I am a great believer in eradicating bigotry/sectarianism from Scottish society, not just from Scottish football, and we are just as much at fault as they have been over the years. But does anybody else agree that Charles Green seems to be resorting to stirring up hatred with some of his comments in a bid to win over the rangers supporters?

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'm still not convinced that green owns ibrox.

wee craighy boy signed them over to his dad, a common practice for him and his ilk, to place assets outwith the reach of creditors.

the £5.5m that green supposedly paid for control of rangers, is uncannily similar to the fees accrued by duff & duffer, and further settlement figures.

so....are we to believe that either d&p waived their fees and sold the assets for their interpretation of "market value"?

OR

did d&p take what they were due, and sell the assets for say, oh i dunno...a POUND??

this saga aint gonna end any time soon, but will become much clearer when BDO do a quick check of the books, by which time you might find that the assets will be retained by the liquidator and sold for their true valuation, and green will walk off into the sunset after trousering 23k season ticket sales....oh, and don't forget his wee loan to the phoenix club that's getting bigger by the minute!

Here's a bit about it explained by the BBC

Alright Taco,

Interesting point about who owns Ibrox etc. If Whyte did sign them over to his dad, and going by his previous record of asset stripping to make a quick buck, then surely they would have sold all the assets for at least enough to clear the ticketus debt if not to make a profit out of them? (buying a club for a quid and then walking away with ticketus chasing him for the tune of £23m, isnt quite right going by Whytes history)

I still cant see how Duff and Phelps can get away with selling off the assets for so little when the value of Ibrox, Murray Park and the players would more than cover all the debts, football or otherwise. (including the majority of the big tax case which is yet to be proven)

This whole situation surely goes against business laws and ethics, nevermind sporting integrity and fair play.

Anyhoo, I see Green is at it again and claims that the football authorities have an agenda against him and his club. If he checked the proper procedures for a newco, his club should not have gained entry to the third division at all as clubs should be able to provide at least 3 years worth of accounts. The oldco couldnt even do this. SO Charles, considering that the rules have, yet again, been bent to suit rangers, thank your lucky stars that your newco has a place in the 3rd divison, shut your cake hole and get on with it.

The whole thing reeks of corruption, and you Mr Green are not helping matters with your sneid comments. The behaviour of some fans in the last couple of seasons has been disgraceful and the authorities should be making more of an effort to stamp out comments like those of the past couple of weeks so as to try and stop the hatred that exists between certain groups.

Rant over,

Big Mike.

Mike....don't believe for a second that whyte owes ticketus money, that was secured against season ticket sales for rangers fc. the only people ticketus can chase up is (dead) rangers. whytey boy is no idiot, he's been down this road a thousand times, and hasn't lost yet, and yes, it is completely unethical but as the law stands, it is within the parameters of what is allowed. he's not the only guy to shaft innocent people and companies, it happens thousands of times each year, each using the same tactics.

as for green, he's just pandering to the snakes belly of their support, knowing that it is the MAJORITY....and ensuring a healthy season ticket uptake;)

Taco,

Did the ticketus deal not get ripped up leaving Whyte owing them the money himself?

Im prepared to stand corrected but I thought that was the case.

Oh Aye, when are we buying Jordan Rhodes?

Bhoys & Ghirls, don't worry about the lack of signing. Look at the past couple of seasons, as soon as some-one was available, we were looking at them. We always sign people with professionalism. We don't tell anyone until the person is having a medical or has signed. This year will be no different. Have faith in Lenny, i think the board will back him. The SPL championship is a given, it's all about the Europe now.

It's because those old games have nothing to do with your new team Charles!

Just watched "proper" Charlie Greens latest hilarious laughable attempt to get the natives to part with their cash. Standing in shirt sleeves and buying tea for all in the queue,it was not long before the victim card was played.Jabbing a podgy finger over his shoulder and talking of "them over there"( who charlie?) moaning about film clips and websites, and generally playing the hero i found it toe curling and cringeworthy.Claiming no one has spoken up for rangers for four years but he will, despite talking of bans and fines, what surprised me is why so many fans are now ready to throw their lot in with him.If we are to believe the figures, season tickets are approaching thirty thousand. What has caused this upsurge in support for Greens, rather sketchy it seems to me,vision? Was it Ally, finally, endorsing him? Was it the press regarding Mike Ashley? Or might it have been Green playing the hate Celtic card? He has already claimed his Balance sheet will be healthier than Celtics at the season end, accounts published at last! He had a dig about having a bigger attendance v East Fife than Celtic v Aberdeen, nonsense by the way.All this with still not one awkward question asked by our ever grovelling Media. Now i dont know, maybe this guy will be a great thing for rangers.i just dont see things being as clear cut somehow.............green jhedi

GJ...did you ever see Ricky Gervais's character in The Office, remind you of any Chic Green. I though from 14th Feb the laughs would eventually stop but LOL. Mrs E

I've just seen this and I've nearly peed myself laughing! This is hilarious, and those poor deluded mugs in the queue must have been pretty shocked to see Coco out talking crap. Not one of the those bearz had the baws to question Chazzy about his intention for the club. He got off pretty lightly if you ask me. I would have thought at least one of them would have spoken up and made it classic TV. Looks like he's taken advice from the knuckledraggers who hang about Greyskull daily, by blaming "them over there". The more I see this guy, the more I think he has been on the glue! On another note, I would love to have been a fly on the wall when he signed our cheque for the 40 odd grand he owed us! (or has he paid)?

Hey POB, sorry if i've missed this but been away for a bit. before I left i noticed several people had asked to see if you had actualy bought a season ticket. can you confirm or deny you have done this? I think previous posters have agreed to show you theirs if you can produce likewise. That aside, you aren't half deluded (reckon you could be Keevins learning how to use the web)

Lol. That old chestnut.
Okay just for you unamed poster of course i have my season ticket.
Feel free to pass this not so classified info on to your wee pals who obviously canny read, although you're excused since you've "been away for a wee bit"
A question for you.

Did you see Charlie Greens wee performance outside Tesco . It was like one of those old Northern comics doing his routine in a working mans club . Pathetic!.....DH

Believable6 Unbelievable1

Aye I watched, once again performing to the fans while stitching them up, even quoted that there is a sign and as long as people queue beyond the sign he will add players to the squad, bet there's no feckin sign next season.

Could it be that Charlie Green is stuffing the season ticket money into Craig Whyte's old swag bag ready to do one before the BDO take Ibrox and Murray Park back off him ?

I posted a short time ago about our lack of activity and my concerns on our defence but what i do believe is we have one of the most exciting young squads ever at the Park and with maybe Jordan Rhodes and a new centre half this team will only get better. With Matthews, Izzy, Kayal, Forrest, Charlie, Hoops, Ledley, Broonie and the rest of the bhoys still to hit their prime.
Glasgow, and the future is def green and white.
Ard Eoin Celt.
Ps. Dad make sure you have a pint with Big Jock, Jinky, Bobby M, and Tommy B.
I know you will be in paradise next season cheering on the bhoys. Miss you. Hail Hail.

Im so sick and tired of sevco fans saying they're the most punished team in football history and not proven guilty over 2nd contracts. All this transfer embargo, fines, etc etc deal with it do the crime do the time as far as I'm aware there has been no punishments just consequences of rule breaking coming to a point I dodge football talk with mates cause I'm the only tim haha

stole this from the Rangers 1872 Rumours page , maybe this is why Bomber was harping on about the title deeds LOL

"BDO, the liquidators of Rangers Oldco are set to drop a £95M spanner in the works and ask for this sum from Charles Green for the assets he purchased for only £5M - less than 5% of their estimated value (~£120M). Duff and Phelps are going to be attending a number of court dates over the coming weeks for the sale, and if Green and/or members of his consortium can't cough up the money the BDO will legally claim the major assets - Ibrox and Murray Park and sell them on to pay the creditors."

Believable9 Unbelievable2

What a lot of pish, the assets have been sold, its done and dusted. cant believe you are still interested in what happens at ibrox, dont yous have a massively important CL game this week?

Sad man {Ed007's Note - It's next week. Hope that cheered you up mate, chin up.}

Agree1 Disagree11

I thought Rangers fans never came in here? Never interested in Celtic! Yeah right!
Always lurking in the shadows somewhere.

Agree9 Disagree0

Not p1$h at all, although nothing is definate this a real possibility. Assuming that they own the assets in the first place. The asking price would be unlike to be as high as £95million but would probably be about £50million.

Agree5 Disagree0

Tit for tat ****e, move on, we are in the 3rd division and happy. we see you in a few years (or a cup with any luck this year!)

J

Agree1 Disagree5

Yes we do have a CL game next week but we need something to laugh at until then , maybe that casino at Ibrokes will surface after all ;)

Agree5 Disagree0

Well the liquidators have every right to question why the assets (Ibrox, Murray Park, players, history etc.) were sold to Charles Green for just a fraction of the estimated value when they're supposed to be acting in the interests of the creditors (who've on the face of it gained next to nothing from this while the football club survive).

The obvious answer is that it was the best deal on the table, but correct me if I'm wrong - did Bill Miller, Club 9, the Rugby man from down south and even the Blue Knights and Walter Smith, not offer more?

If the liquidators believe there were dodgy dealings and that more could be made by remarketing the assets then they have a right to demand the money or the assets if the investigation shows this. Personally I believe it will, but whether they'll want £95M I'm not so sure...

Agree2 Disagree0

As the poster said , stole this from sevco site regarding assets, not a celtic fan making things up. intelligent sevco fans know all is far from being right regarding their club with bdo doing their job something d/p weren,t .sorry to say much more to come.

Oh dear Mr Green (in the Blue room) is having a hard sell with season tickets. Now both RM and FF ( it's ok I took a shower after) are reporting that it is £5 CHEAPER to pay on day rather than fork out for SST (sevco season ticket) it seems even a new regime still has the old clubs poor arithmetic...Timalloy

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Maybe you should check your own arithmetic?
Cheapest pay at the gate tickets £15 (15X18= £270)
Rangers Season tickets start at £258

Don't let the facts get in the way of your Obsession though.

Agree3 Disagree2

Funny that. My Mate has paid £13 for his ticket tomorrow. Tried to get a season ticket on website and by calling the club, and was told that they were temporarily stopping selling season tickets, due to 'technical issues'. read into it what you wish, but 13x18 in my calculations are £234

At those prices it's nuts not to pay for each game. Forking everything out up front is nuts especially as there's a risk of double admin.
