You know fun is fun and banter is banter I'm mibbes beginning to feel just a teensy wee bit sorry for the shame. They have got very little prospect of surviving the tax case and their beloved club will soon be stripped and sold off. So mibbes we should huv a wee prayer and hope all the players find good clubs to go to and all 8 million of us Celtic fans should go to ibrox and dance around it whilst it burns slowly to the ground. YOU WON'T BE MISSED. RFC RIP

Rangers will be the new Third Lanark and you lot can start following Chelsea and then everybody is happy. Its not just us that will not miss you. The whole world will get over it quickly, especially Manchester City Council. Hail Hail to the tax payers.

I see Mrs CW has filed for divorce from the Shames saviour. I think things are about to get very, very interesting.

This could blow the whole HMRC/liquidation/Armegedon senarios out the windae. :D

Strangely i feel that if this was a celtic player goin thro a divorce and a gers fan posted it would it get aired ...... a very cheap shot .... stay classy celts (lets see if this gets up eh lol) {Ed007's Note - Stay classy Celts? After some of the tripe I've had to delete about Anthony Stokes and his family over the last couple of days I hardly think that's appropriate. You must be very easily offended, you must not go to games incase you hear any naughty words getting shouted I imagine. Some Rangers fans are such delicate little flowers it's surprising they have any contact with the outside world at all.}

Agree1 Disagree0

Exactly ed u deleted the posts .... but posted this one ..... thats the point im getting at .... bit of fairness pls bud {Ed007's Note - The posts against Stokes and his family were disgusting and out of order leading to numerous bans for people, that's why they were deleted. I decide what is posted, not you. Have you forgotten your name? You don't even have the common decency to tag your posts but come on here moaning like a little girl, grow a pair, suck it up or don't read them.}

Ps ed i could see with ur remark that you didnt take the post too seriously (or thats how it came across) basically the point is i came on to read about football not whats happenign in the household of whoever.... its football banter no hollyoaks ! {Ed007's Note - And I'm still not taking you seriously.}

Nice character revelation ed .... v nice ! if u wanna revel in the pain of someones relationship u go right ahead .... well done. And i dont know why u compared it to Stokes I was not calling for the stokes comments to be posted i back u 100% for not putting any posts about stokes' personal life .... thats the point im making ...... as I said if this was a celtic player goin thro a messy divorce the comment would not be on here ...... u cant deny it

Listen to Ed. The couple have been separated since 2010. This hasn't just happened!
They live in the same village that's it. The poor lassie has obviously just realised if she doesn't divorce this t*t now then she'll get nowt so is making her move before all other parties do.
As Ed says grow a pair or jog on.

Sorry Ed but I know if this was happening to someone in power at PH it would be all over the redtops.
So far only the Daily Record has featured the story.

ln a bounce match on Tuesday.

The Valur player lined up in a Celtic team alongside fellow trialist Rabiu Ibrahim as the home side defeated St Johnstone 3-2.

The highly-rated youngster, who was previously on trial at Arsenal and has been linked with Manchester United in the past, is currently training with Neil Lennon's side.

Sigurdsson was on the books of Heerenveen as a youth but returned to Iceland to spend three years with KR Reykjavik before moving to Valur in 2011.

Though he has 18 months left on his contract, STV understands that a clause in his contract would allow him to move without a fee being played.

"He came on Sunday and will train with Celtic until Friday," Sigurdsson's agent Olafur Gardarsson told STV.

"He's an extremely skilful left winger. He's only 18 but is very talented. Quite a few clubs want to have a look at him.

"After his trial with Celtic we have arranged for him to go to Denmark and spend a few days with Lyngby."

Gardarsson said that his client was aware that any move to Parkhead would not be to contribute to the first team immediately. However, he said that the player was capable of making an impact after settling.

"He knows Celtic is a very big club and a good club," the agent added. "It will be a step up for him but I think he knows (if a deal were to happen) he needs some time to adjust.

"Football in Scotland is more physical than in Iceland. He wouldn't be thinking about breaking into the first team immediately.

"It's a bit like Eggert Jonsson at the first team at Hearts at 16/17 before breaking into the first team. I think Celtic have seen him play with some of the younger national teams. I know John Park has seen him play.

"If a deal were to come off then it would be a great move. Celtic are a fantastic club and the Scottish League is a great step up for any Icelandic player."

Rangers expressed an interest in the winger last year but no deal materialised. Sigurdsson has played for Iceland Under-19s on five occasions, scoring twice. {Ed007's Note -

in recent years we never went the extra mile for janko and giroud and ended up getting s**te like rasmussun and murphy is this going to be the same scenario with rhodes and diawara and ending up with sanogo or sahili cos theyre cheap,the dear ones are 21 and 22 so potentially 10 years of sevice and if they progress as expected would double the fee paid

Believable2 Unbelievable0

Fair point to a degree, my only worry or concern is the mainstays of our team are already relatively young.

Who are considered the experienced heads? Broony and Samaras? Mindblower lol.

Shaunybhoy {Ed007's Note - I'm glad you said experienced and not mature about Brown ;-) He's a bit of a character!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Honest Ed, I sat here for 10 mins considering it after I posted, we've got some super young players and it kinda emphises the point you, Miko, our Tim and many others have given regarding Browns abilities. May not be the best player technically but I'll admit without him we'd struggle for leadership/experience. (Soz you can't put mature & you know who in the same sentence mate and keep a straight face lol)

Don't wanna go down the old EPL has-been old nag route but a bit of a wise-old head wouldn't go amiss for me, centre back preferably but NL knows best. HH.

Shaunybhoy {Ed007's Note - I know what you mean Shauny but look at the number of CBs we have just now, even Majstorovic was playing well before his injury and Rogne is looking the part as well. I know NL said he was looking for one but I can't see where he would get into the team unless he is a 'top drawer'.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Just thinking out loud, no examples in mind, although that Algerian (was it?) that was mentioned wouldn't kick up much fuss if he had to wait his turn, mid to late 20's, played in the world cup, ticks a few boxes for me. See if Fulham want Loovens, 2 birds 1 stone (or 15st if they want Commons lol).

What a predicament we're in lol. I'm worrying about adding some experience, whilst over the garden fence our neighbours and their woes.........ah well.

Signing younger fitter hungrier players and seeing our youth programme blossoming excites me, Forrest, mcgeoch , likes of wAtt, keatings, twardzik, toshney etc all breaking thro, I'd take this rather than whole budget spent on over the hill cash grabbers lookn for big pay day,

If your clubs struggling financially,first thing you would do is try to get any under achieving high earners off your wage bill.what a wee shame then that whittaker is injured for at least till the transfer window closes.seems when your lucks down,your lucks down.lol

Believable1 Unbelievable0

That is a pathetic post. If you read down the posts you will come to the ones that Rangers fans are saying get well soon wishes to Kayal. Then you come out with that crap. Do you no hink it's strange that when a tic player gets injured they are Rangers fans wishing them a speedy recovery and when it's a Rangers player injured its he deserved that (Naisy) now this crap post.
Boooooooooooooooooooo

Agree3 Disagree2

I'd have taken your moral stance more seriously if you could type Celtic mate. And if you get a rash or summat there's plenty of creams for it.

On a serious note though, I'm sure there's more of an irony to the OPs thoughts, Rangers (dead easy that mate) need to shift players and the ones you could get a few quid for are out injured (or praying for a move but no-ones biting yet).

Not everyone does courteous or respectful, just blunt but true.

Shaunybhoy

Agree0 Disagree1

Booooooooooo, your needing to get a grip of yourself, no-one on here wants any player injured and he cartinly wasn't celebrating the fact whittaker is out.

His post was slating rangers poor financial status, and inability to get shot of players that even your own supporters want off the wages!

I didn't see you on here when Brown, K. Wilson, M. Wilson, Commons or Bangura were out injured son!

DazzaBhoy

Agree1 Disagree1

Well exactly.whittakers probably one of the gers players i dont mind,and i defo wasnt making fun of him being injured,ffs,hes been injured for weeks.just the fact that hes on 25k a week,gers fans hate him, and if hes not able to Play,no ones gonna buy him.simples

Craig Whyte contacted Ken Dodd for some advice on pressing Tax issues.
Whyte said he had made "Promises" that were not kept. "Let me cry on your Shoulders" as "Tears wont wash away the Heartache" because I am "Brokenhearted" as a tax deal is "Just out of Reach"
After listening to all this Ken Dodd replied
"Happiness, Happiness" because I am a TIM!

Rangers fan - If Gers go under the Scottish gamne will die. Sky wont pay for the SPL with no OF games and TBH the only reason I like Scottish football is due to the OF match.

Everyone on this page wants Rangers to go under, can someone please explain where that will leace Celtic?

J {Ed007's Note - It would leave CFC free to stream their games all over the world as a PPV themselves. With better broadcasting quality etc. It is an option that EPL clubs are looking into when they come to negotiate with S*y for the new TV deal down there. All this nonsense about having to have 4 derby matches a season is really that, nonsense. The SPL can never enter into a contract stipulating that while the league uses a split system, it is like fixing the league so that both teams will finish in the top 6. That would be a serious breach of the governing bodies rules regarding TV deals.}

Believable4 Unbelievable3

What it would do though is dilute the product that celtic would able to sell id imagine ....... ie there is only one game in the schedule that costs 42quid ... only one game thats guaranteed to be on tv and only 1 team in the schedule both teams know they will sellout their ground ....... take away gers and u take away the above and thats just the start ..... we would lose a massive amount of neutral fans i reckon annol (all just opinion tho)

Germinator {Ed007's Note - The S*y deal isn't that much so there would be other ways of covering that income, as you say though the league product would suffer. I have said all along that Rangers will not go into liquidation, administration yes but not liquidation. I think that has more of a chance of being in the S*y deal, can Rangers assure them that they will still be a going concern in the league to meet their commitments?}

rangers fan here just wanna wish Beram Kayal all the best in his recovery just seen that hes been ruled out for the remainder of the season following ankle surgery
spl lost one of its best players really hope the guy get back to his best next season just not against us :P all joke aside i hope the guy comes back the same player
and all the best in his recovery

Alan {Ed007's Note - Thanks Alan.}

Believable3 Unbelievable0

Just a q to the tic fans and the ed ..... im sure ill get my fair share of stupid comments out there wil b a few that wil answer it annol.

With gers finances and their current squad and celtics position would you expect lennon to walk/be sacked if he doestn win the title this year?

Cheers
Germinator {Ed007's Note - I think he would walk Germ mate.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Dunno y i posted that as a reply ed ?!
i dunno if he would walk cos i get the impression he is confident in his own abilities and will think he can do it and you can only assume that its one of his all time dreams ..... i aint too sure he would get the majority of fans backing this time however?

also is there any players out there that you know that have the same sorta contract as lennon ie a year or 2yr rolling contract sorta thing ?

cheers
Germinator {Ed007's Note - No mate, not many players sign rolling contracts but it is more and more popular with managers now.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I could see it being beneficial for clubs more than players would be good to see a players contract not just get to the last year and have his agent start flogging him to every club at far lower prices than they would if they had 2 years running .... it could also stop clubs demanding insane amounts just cos they have 4yrs on their contract ....... to be honest id just prefer it if UEFA outlawed agents !! i know of (dont know them personally) 2 agents and both are as trustworthy as a bond villain.... if a player cant decide if his wage offer is good enough then he doesnt deserve to the earn them ! can only imagine what the rest of the working world would be like if we all had agents !! it would be a total shambles.

Germinator {Ed007's Note - You wouldn't believe the power that agents have Germ, and the hold they have over some players. FIFA/UEFA really need to get it under control.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Germinator, let's ask you about Sally.
He has managed to get your club put out of 3 cup competions, been in charge when Celtic overturn 15 point lead to go 2 points top. He keeps pleading for cash and never gets it. Where is his pride, surely he should be looking at his own position? Timalloy
Germinator this how to respond to a question, please tell you other bears insults and swerry words are NOT banter

Agree0 Disagree2

For me Germ the title's a must this season or i'm not coming out the house for at least a month ! I would think he would walk away... Mrs E

Agree0 Disagree0

To be completely fair NL knows what is expected from him at Celtic so as Ed says he would walk before we even had a chance to decide. It's a he'll of a job ESP for a young guy too god only knows the pressure him and Sally are under. Fair question tho bud.
CB

Agree0 Disagree0

Great minds Mrs E !!
CB ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Timalloy you go on about this 15 point lead, it was only a 9 point we have thrown away because you had 2 games in hand. Theres nothing McCoist can do to stop Celtic winning those games is there?

WilliamKO {Ed007's Note - As I said last night, when it was sitting at 15 points were Rangers fans saying it was only 9? It's points in the bag that count. If we still hadn't played the games in hand would you be on here saying CFC were 2 points in front instead four points behind? No you wouldn't, it is there in black and white, the gap was 15 points in the league table no matter how you try to dress it up.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Tim i dont speak for other fans as u dont speak for other tic fans. i think Ally should be kept on regardless of what happens he needs to learn his trade as a manager before he can be judged as one (same as applied to lennon) i think if u handed out the scenario to a neutrals opinion and say if one team cannot afford to bring in essential players and cannot afford to strengthen his team in the backgrounds as well as get players that can change games from the bench with a amnager thats making his debut season against a team thats gelled a little bit more from previous campaign, has the money to strengthen any position, have twice the wage budget and a manager thats had a year and half in the role and a theoritcal transfer budget that is 10 times or more of their rivals (on the basis that gers couldnt buy untill the sold and that celtic if they wanted to could spend 10m on players) they could prob spend more in all honesty but wont. Now if u gave all this info to a neutral and told him the afore team would be only 2 points off the latter half way thro he would be suprised ........

to answer your other questions ... the start ally made to the SPL was as good as any, no one expected his gers team to take a 15 pt lead NO-ONE if he is able to to go on the run that we did at the start of the year it would crazy to think that it aint possible again ..... no?

I think ally is doing as good as job as can be expected with the tools he has. Id like him to be there next year regardless of the league this year.. put it this way i wouldnt get rid of a rookie player if in his first year at being a player he didnt make the right decision every time ...... people need to find out mistakes and make them afore they can avoid them at times.

sorry for the long winded response, what can i say processing a pension claim aint the most stimulating thing in the world !

Germinator {Ed007's Note - Just make sure it's not Tim's pension!!!}

Agree1 Disagree0

Fair play to you Germ, seems a fair response in support of your rookie gaffer, quite similar to the ones we were posting last year defending our rookie manager.
Lenny has undoubtedly improved as a manager this season imo, I presume that's what you're hoping Ally will do given time and possibly some money.

Once obvious difference, our board, and your board/dictator. We didn't need a patsy, I fear you might. And that would be a shame (no pun intended).

Shaunybhoy

Agree0 Disagree0

Germinator, good response and points well made, but Sally is no "rookie" he had 4/5 years learning from Walter, Lennon had no such mentor, so Sally should have been better equipped than Lennon to handle management. Timalloy
Ps er Germ about my pension, can we come to some "mutual" arrangement ha ha

I can't get my head around this Craig Whyte guy, I can't figure out if he is really stupid or really clever. Does he have a grand plan and did it involve going into administration all the time.

He did lie though, he promised they'd spend big in Summer 2011 and they didn't.

Either way I think we should just look after our own ship

Bad Bhoy

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Lol i strongly doubt you could find anything that says craig whyte stated we would spend BIG in summer 2011 ...... thats not what he said at all.

Agree0 Disagree1

Did he not promise fat sally a minimum of £5 million pa over the next five years and then promise to front load it aswell?

Bad Bhoy

Agree4 Disagree0

Was it not £5m a season, with £15m up front?

DazzaBhoy

Agree1 Disagree0

He did promise £5m a season, but that includes transfer fees and wages. If you add up the total amount of transfers Rangers paid in the summer it will accumulate to near £3m......Wallace, Bedoya, McKay, Ortiz, Bocanegra and Goian all came in for a fee....

So money have been spent.

TTG {Ed007's Note - Take off the Bougherra money from that as well.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed can you tell me this please? if mr shooter is sayin his 5million budget includes wages agent fees etc would that then make the T A Flo deal worth 20million plus not just the 12.5 wasted on a TRANSFER FEE - so the 5 million budget could be blown on one deal? 2million Fee then 4 year wages plus agent fee? is this what he means? in turn the 24 million man city paid for kun aguero is really more like double that and the word(s)transfer fee mean nowt then?

i would have thought and again just my opinion here that if a club asks for a fee of 4.4million (scott broon) does that mean thats his Transfer Fee or do we include wages etc to make this transfer fee, not forgetting taxi fares snacks etc

davybhoy {Ed007's Note - There is also tax to be paid on transfers plus players are guaranteed at least 10% of the transfer fee as a signing on fee. Transfers are a lot more complicated than people think Davy. The transfer fee (if disclosed) is the monies the selling club get though. These days it is usually paid in instalments over the duration of the contract with any remaining balance paid off if the player is sold on before the final payment.}

I thought he looked quite composed last night.

Any idea why he doesn't figure in Lennon's long term plans?

I would definitely have him ahead of Loovens and big dan.

Bad Bhoy. {Ed007's Note - I like O'Dea but he has no future at CFC apparently.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Hi Ed, any idea why he has no future at CFC?, he always came across as a decent guy, one to keep the head down and graft away, has he put someones noise out of joint or stepped on someones toes?, either was it's a shame. {Ed007's Note - I have no idea sorry. Good afternoon Ed, hope today is treating you well sir.

Just been on DR site, (I know) I just wanted to read about the Rapid striker we've been linked with. Seems interesting, half a mil for a proven goal getter, irrelevant if anyone is leaving doesn't seem too much of a gamble.

Also noticed Traynors pish tale bout Sally signing a Spanish chap for £2m !! You're havin a giraffe Tubby-Traynor, unless the poster below coughed up them magic beans that is the biggest pile o pish I've heard since Jellylegs last opened his mush in the DR.

£2m? Rangers? honest, you SHOULDN'T make it up. It's cruel.

PS I think the BBC should give Mr Whyte his own comedy show, after all he has kept all us Celtic fans LAUGHING for months! {Ed007's Note - They aren't talking. Isn't Whyte suing them? (snigger). I wonder how STV feel now after jumping into bed with a company that can't meet it's financial obligations to Companies House etc?}

Agree2 Disagree0

I'm good ta Tim, we could all help write a "Still Game" style sitcom with Craig and Ally as old men reliving the days when Rangers were a big draw and how the nasty tax man pi5hed away the club and they took the rap for it all.

I don't know about anyone else,but i'm sick of reading about players coming on trial. Lennon stated today that the Albanian boy from Rapid would interest him only if he accepted a trial. Now, over the past fe seasons anyone we have had on trial we NEVER SIGN! Look at that Pascal Feindouno, he looked like a cracking player at the Sion game and if it had not been for those mugs fielding ineligible players then he would have came back to haunt us. He's available on a free again after cancelling his contract with Sion-perhaps we should make a cheeky bid? The facts are we've not won the league for 3 seasons on the account of Rangers been skint, but we are in a great position are should be ensuring we push home that advantage. I totally appreciate that the wage bill is a drain on resources, but in my opinion, we are a centre half and striker away from solidifying the team.

Believable4 Unbelievable0

Guy from rapid doesn't need a trial, he is proven goal machine, pity we didn't offer bangura a trial, wouldv saved us 2 million or d murphy didn't get a trial

Yeah hes the only one that i would not have bk someone may pay money for him i hope .kenneth

Agree0 Disagree0

I had a pot-shot at these 'trials' yesterday and had a few disagree with me
although I do admit we have signed some duffers that should have 'stood trial'.
Anyway I believe that if the management team and scouting network are efficient and can spot a player that can do a job, then we should not need so many trialists.
