I agree with what you said earlier Ed about everything Brendan has said was lies to leave us at this stage of the season is a kick in the b***s for every Celtic fan.
What about the players we brought in last month how are they going to react.
To say you are a Celtic man and in your dream job and then treat us like this if he was intending to go leave at the end of a season not just before we have to go to Edinburgh in our next 2 games which now could have a big impact on our season the players really have to do it on their own now because they have been let down by Brendan. (.

{Ed007's Note - I wonder what Rodgers said to Broony about his plans when Brown was making his decision last month? Did he tell Brown he was planning on leaving or did he tell him what his plans were for the team over the next couple of seasons?
What if any new manager thinks a nearly 34-year old Scott Brown is past it or too slow for his style of play?}

The Tim I g is awful surely if Rodgers wanted to leave he could have left in the summer his stock would be even higher after delivering a treble and let's face there's a vacancy down there every month.

To broony ed?
He fecking wheeled out John Kennedy to tell the press he was already planning for next season yesterday!

{Ed007's Note - There you go, Kev.}

That's what everyone is thinking Mally. The timing was obviously down to Leicester sacking Puel; but they could have appointed a caretaker until the summer - like they did when Ranieri got sacked.
I suppose nothing has been signed as yet (or has it? ) but BR could have stayed and left a hero - all being well with a treble treble.
I agree with Ed as well; what has he been telling the players who came/ stayed because he was manager?
You never know the minute right enough - being a Celtic supporter is a roller coaster, a waltzer and a ghost train combined.

It’s not the fact Brendan’s leaving that gets me, it’s the timing of it, if he leaves in the summer with possibly another treble in the bag no one could complain. The way this has came about for me leaves a very bitter taste and brings a lot of bad feeling that would never have happened if he’d just seen the season out. This I feel is that big that for me Lawwell / Desmond must come out and explain exactly what’s gone on here and more importantly where we go from here going forward. Are we going to go big and bring a manager in on huge wages like some have suggested, or are we going to go down the route of a Clarke or Lennon, coming in on the cheap? Very disappointed in Rodgers and the board for allowing this to happen at this stage of the season. It’s ok saying “ what can the board do” they could say yeah you can leave but it won’t be before the summer. Is that not the same as Rodgers saying to Dembele or Ntcham “ give us another 6 months to a year then move?

100% garry. We need to put a marker down here and aim as high as we possibly can, benetez is a great shout, a think it's kev that's been saying him for a long time now. It would be scandalous if we go backwards from here, I'd be gutted with Clarke now after we've had Rodgers. If we can't get a high standard of manager in now then I'd be happy enough with lennon till the summer as long as it's not permanent.
