Would rather keep and play Christie much better player than mcgregor and bitton. Bit of a strange loan deal.

Agreed RG96-I was surprised and very dissappinted with the decision to loan out Christie too. He's looked livelier and been more creative than McGreggor and Biton welded together. My only hope is that by loaning out Ryan and Ajer Rodgers is loaning out players he ultimately has high hopes for but feels he can't meet their development needs at this moment in time and they're better getting games elsewhere. 🍀

JPF

That was my thinking but in all honesty who do you see Christie replacing?

For me he needs to pick a position and stick to it. I think he sees himself as a striker but is he better as a number 10 or out on the wing?

Niall-I think he could play either up front or as a no.10. Is he better than what we've got? Upfront probably not but he's a young lad with bags of potential for me. Is he better than our no.10 options? Again-probably not but Rogic hasn't proved yet he has the engine for 90 minutes and cuurenlty injured so there is a role there for Christie for me, 🍀

I'm sure BR will have the position he wants him to play sorted out. If the loan is anything like Ajers he will have agreed to be trained in the position Brendan sees him in while at Aberdeen? I agree though big fan of Christie. Could do to build his strength. Never really had any bad things to say about his performances from the bench or starting! Him and Ajer will play a big part in Celtic eventually. I hope.

Ed av already kind of asked this, but say it's been agreed they'll play certain positions, what powers do we have to enforce it? The reason I ask is cos although I trust Lee Clark, i don't trust mcinnes at all. Can we recall them or are they stuck there till the end of the agreement.? Cheers

{Ed007's Note - Clubs will do what's agreed as part of the deal, McInnes will play Christie in one of his natural positions.}

No sure if a sent that last post ed or hit close too soon. Anyway the jist was, if Aberdeen or killie don't play the loan bhoys in the position Rodgers wants can we recall them? A think ajer will be OK but am a bit worried about mcinnes's coaching abilities n the damage he might cause to christie's development.

{Ed007's Note - Why would they loan players and then play them out of position? Playing regularly for Aberdeen is better for Christie's development than sitting on our bench.}

Hopefully helps the sheep pip Sevco to second spot? 😀

Hoped this was a rumour, great player and like you say better than both Bitton and McGregor.

24 Jan 2017 23:55:37
What if they're of the opinion that the bhoys suit a different position. They'd surely rather suit their own agenda than rodgers

{Ed007's Note - Killie needed a CB and got Ajer, Aberdeen needed to replace Maddison and got Christie. I can't see McInnes play him at RB just to try and damage a Celtic player's progress.}

25 Jan 2017 00:21:50
Haha a didn't mean that but a take your point.

{Ed007's Note - McInnes wants 2nd place this season. I know an Accies scout who knew McInnes back in the day that spent some time with him recently and it's all he spoke about. Whether that's to show he would be capable of being TRIFC manager is anyone's guess....

25 Jan 2017 01:17:15
That would be ma guess mate. If warbs doesn't get 2nd place am pretty sure whoever beats him to it will succeed him.

{Ed007's Note - Even if he gets second I'll be surprised if he's there next season, a new manager will be the ST selling point and Warbiola knows the EL qualifiers - if they're participating - will be a busted flush.}
