What's everyone's thought on the transfer dealing catch 22.?
But lesser quality now in the attempt to secure CL qualification or gamble on what we have and hope CL qualification lures a higher class of player.
Are we trying to do both with the two new bhoys (plus Ajer) and save the rest of the cash for after the qualifiers?
Do we have enough right now to qualify?

I would say they're waiting for us to progress and thy have there targets and they are also waiting to see if they get champion league football.

Larbhoy that's what we told every year.

It's extremely difficult to lure players to Scotland - even though we are Celtic - and CL proper is the best incentive.
Qualification has become harder and harder, not only because of the amount of ties at a ludicrous time of year, but we have not been able to keep a half decent squad together for many years, due to selling our best assets and replacing them with cheaper, inferior players.
We do have some good young players at present, but we could do with more experience and quality to help them and maybe if we take advantage of that good result on Wednesday, we can convince one or two to join us?

Larbhoy we do that every year and it nearly always backfires speculate to accumulate but never happens.

We any every other team should be pushing for an earlier start to our season.
We alway seem to be at a disadvantage to the other teams in the qualifying because they all start a lot sooner than us.

BR was given the job to get us there, i am glad were waiting on the players he wants rather than getting players in that won't improve us, also our players will improve if his man management is as good as were made to believe, just keep the faith bhoys,

Even is seasons we did qualify for the champions league we never invested properly so why some people think we will now is beyond me.

2012/ 13 we qualified and spent money on Ambrose and Forster. kaminer and Miku on loans and Lassad on a free. 3 million spent. Ki was sold for 6 million that summer.

2013/ 14 we qualified and spent money on VVD, Balde, Pukki, Boeriggter and Bitton. That was the same season we sold Wanyama, Hooper and Kelvin Wilson. We brought in 10 million more than we spent over the course of the season.

On the basis of the last twice we have qualified we actually made a profit on sales in both seasons so I don't expect much to be spent. Also waiting for the "quality" signings. The last time we qualified we bought Pukki, says it all to me.

I would imagine that the people who know best, those who have the facts and figures don't see any alternative .
It isn't always the best idea, to run up debts and walk away and leave them behind.

I knew old Bhoy wouldn't be long behind with his usual "we don't want to end up like the real Rangers".

I am just trying to make those thinking we are going to spend 20 million when we qualify that it isn't going to happen. Just getting bored reading we will be buying better quality players once we qualify when there is no past evidence of this.

This board will continue to bleed the fans dry but that's great as long as we don't end up like Rangers.

My gripe is that we never seem to build from a position of strength. I know this was another lifetime ago and we weren't exactly in a strong position, but can anyone remember why Paul Elliot left the club? I remember it was something to do with a house?
