Hi ed if you can look back at a post I posted maybe a week 10 days ago you will see that I suggested we could go into the astana game with a central pairing of a jer and ambrose now ajer is also out so now it's down to the bear bones the reason I posted was a whisper I picked up that Eric would be out until at least the start of the spl season but at the time could not confirm it, now as everyone knows it was true all along, which means the powers that be at Celtic park were well aware of the situation but still continued to draw their feet in transfare dealings, toure should have been brought in the day it became clear Eric was out, to me it's a high risk strategy going into this game with the defence we are left with, they are gambling that the tie will still be alive when Astana come to Celtic park, if this fails then lawwell has a lot of questions to answer, and questions also have to be asked as to just how much support BR really does enjoy it's not the best kept secret that Rodgers was Desmond appointment and that lawwells nose was put out of place, going into this tie we have taken in more money than we have spent, if that's giving BR their full support then something is terribly wrong. Can only hope the players can step up to the mark and put the last 2 years failings behind them, if not then I feel all hell is about to breakout when the fans see we were let down again and lawwell staying to try and get Sinclair over the line won't help him in the slightest.

Connolly quite a good post I M O until he start going into areas that I think we have no knowledge of . B R obviously gave P L a list of players he wanted in and prioritise them . Tours may or may not have been high up on Rodgers list . We have no idea whether the reason Toura was signed only at weekend was down to P L dithering or Toura not prepared to sign for Celtic previously .
There was another centre half that it was said B R was interested, he wouldn't have solved many problems as he celebrated at length his return from Euroes and won't be in any fit state to play well for quite a while .
We cannot be sure that it is Celtic, fault every time or most times.
