See Morten Rasmussen is running riot against Southampton, except he now appears to just be called Duncan! This just made me laugh.

Are there any other Celtic flops who have gone elsewhere and turned out alright?

'Duncan' may still be rubbish, but he seems to be playing well here.

Why don't we start with Berget! He is the one playing in the CL instead of any of our bhoys! Pukkie is doing ok and is playing every week yet could not get a game with us.

Daryl Murphy springs to mind. What a job he is doing at Ipswich now. Wish we had held onto the big fella. At least we have Nadir Ciftci, praise the Lord!

Tony Watt too Richard, Ronny did an hour long presentation about how he takes young players and players with poor attitudes and improves. Other than wee Tony!

{Ed007's Note - RD told Tony Watt and his agent that as far as he was concerned everyone started with a clean slate and he was looking forward to working with him. The next day Peter Lawwell agreed a fee with Standard Liege and Watt and his agent were told the decision had been taken at a higher level and that he wasn't in the club's plans. The cynic in me has a hunch that there is someone with PL's ear took a personal dislike to Watt, and it's not Danny McGrain.}

He was always called nt87 after Duncan Ferguson I can remember reading it in the paper when he signed for us

Hooiveld did well for Southampton helped them get promoted to the prem but hasn't had a sniff at BPL

Cant have been bad for us to sign them. Not bad players now but for whatever reason it didn't work. With the high percentage of purchases, deemed failures and free/low value punts that follow youd think it good business to work out the reasons.

Ed that kind of behaviour from those up above certainly doesn't do a new manager any favours and RD therefore never got a chance to work with Watt. Would it be fair to say however that there may have been quite a number of people at CP who had a personal dislike of Watt because of his attitude?

{Ed007's Note - No mate, that wouldn't be fair, even the Danny McGrain story was blew out of proportion by whoever leaked the story.}

That would make sense. I remember that he was sold only a couple days after getting his first pre-season run out and made a good impact. I think he had a lot of maturing to do but we should have stuck by him because of his abbility/potential.

{Ed007's Note - Who would you rather see on our bench, Richard, Tony Watt with a year under RD or Ciftci and Scepovic?}

We have had numerous strikers over the last ten years who haven't achieved the standard required on the field. Usually our supporters let them know they were not good enough . With confidence draining the only road for them was out . Some of these have left and remained not up to it , others have done well.
We need to get strikers who do well for us , we need to ensure their fellow attackers play to their strengths .
