I'm hoping one of the boffins can help me out here. As things stand, Aberdeen are 9th in the league, with St Mirren 6th. If that was to stay the same would it potentially rectify the issue with us having to play one of the top 6 away three times? Or is that just going to happen regardless it's just a matter of who?

Kev,
The current table before tonight’s game, would probably be the 1st time this season that the fixtures would be balanced after the split.
Celtic would play Sevco, Hearts and Motherwell at home and Dundee Utd, St. Mirren away.
It’s also the 1st time this season, we can work out how the final league positions would look if the same corresponding results occurred from earlier games.
If the final 12 games finished the same results from earlier in the season, Celtic would win the league by 3 points and a far superior goal difference.
