What's your thoughts on team selection tomorrow night, do you think anyone will drop out on the back of poor performance last week?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Can see Mulgrew moving to the back, purely because there's nobody else. Can see him sticking with Berget too.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pressure on RD so early in the season 2moro night. If we fail to win. Well you can imagine what will be getting said. If Mulgrew moves to centre half it frees up a position in centre midfield. Possibly Kayal who I've not much faith in to pick that killer pass to create a goal. Personally I would go with young Henderson.

Saying that I forgot about Biton, was he not playing well last season before getting injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

Forrest in the squad, come on for the last half hour to score and set one upm

Yourman will that be RD chucking in a not fully fit JF for impact(after his released statements :) )? We will see if the norgie will stick to his guns or does a NL . They way this tie is panning out I'd play him although I don't fly the wee guys flag ,we need something. Backs to the wall lads

Agree0 Disagree0

Feeling he might play derk tonight

Agree0 Disagree0

I was just thinking that about Derk - he might be a starter tonight instead of that guy from Cardiff - can't even remember his name.

Good to see folks and ex-players lining up to take a pop at Celtic, nice. Obviously entitled to their opinion and no doubt if Celtic sign a Larsson it will be because of these guys having a pop or will it?

'Downsizing' is the new buzz word - what does this mean and who would it benefit at Celtic?

I want to see the transfer policy overhauled and the performance last week was just short of a horror show but downsizing, why?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

So are you basically saying every celtic fan has to sit back, keep quiet and not voice their concerns?

Truth of the matter is, majority of fans are sick of seeing players sold and replaced with absolute duds who would struggle to sit on a bench at a championship club!

Agree0 Disagree0

So, no

I suggest you give me a suggestion

Agree0 Disagree0

Was surprised by McAvennie in today's papers.

I'm not sure downsizing is quite correct for what has happened here. Injuries aside I can't remember a time when there has been so much competition for places (in certain positions at least). Now I'm not saying anyone in the present squad would get a look in at either MON or WGS time but casting my mind back there wasn't much competition for places in particular at MON time. I remember at the time wishing we had more strength in depth. Just a pity it seems the depth has superseded the strength.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mrs E you should know DN by now always critisicing, never suggesting.Never a constructive word said.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mrs E suggest I give you a suggestion? Your the one constantly posting nonsense yet when someone expresses a different opinion you spit dummy out cause their opinion is not the same as yours

Rayman see if you refer to thread you started down page about clear out, you will realise YOU have contradicted yourself once again by even trying to challenged what I said! Absolute clown

The solution is straight forward- stop cutting corners signing dud players as replacements!

Agree0 Disagree0

Toffeebhoy, Thought it was the last thing a new Manager needed to hear from an ex Celtic player a couple of days before a Champions League qualifier, a real confidence boost (not)

I did say in my post about the transfer policy so not sure what part DN disagree with?

I only asked about the downsizing that keeps getting mentioned and how it would benefit anyone at Celtic? Peter Lawwell has a massive ego I think most have agreed on that, why would he want to make himself look like a crappy Chief Executive? It's a genuine question.

Rayman, I'm was past it now. Life's too short :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

As far as I know no Country outside the big Football Countries have got to the last 16 twice in the last ten years . On account of the massive wealth that the major countries have via TV deals etc .
Then its difficult for all small countries .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Off the top of my head I'd say Galatasary have reached the Last 16 twice in the last 2 years.}

@DN my old adversary as usual you have nothing constructive to say and revert to insults. Stop moaning and say something constructive its getting boring. My earlier post was a suggestion, have you ever heard of this? And a possible solution, but you go ahead just keep moaning at everything, 1 day it will hit you to come up with an idea instead of rubbishing everybody elses.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yourman is it 3 times with Strachan doing it twice and Lennon once?

Not sure about the other Countries though

Agree0 Disagree0

@rayman sorry i'm struggling to see how my post is classed as a "moan" when the jist of it is the same as what your "suggestion" was. You have clearly tripped up and made an ar$e of it

Agree0 Disagree0

The only 'down-sizing' I would insist on is to get shot of the injury prone guys.
As much as I like Mathews and although Kayal, Forrest and Boerrigter have a bit about them when they are on form:- Together they miss far to many games.
Brown is not far behind if I am totally honest and being the captain saves him.

It is the income stream that is the problem folks due to the economic downturn the hospitality income suffered ( I know as I cut back and no fellow business people who did the same!) Believe it or not ( and this is the same for both sides and well documented for both halves of the Old Firm) the bedroom Tax had a significant impact on the concession element sacrificing there season ticket, sprinkle an element of the disgruntled and factor in that the EPL teams that get relegated get a £40 MILLION "parachute" payment we get £2 MILLION! for winning our league and struggle for domestic cup sponsors! like all you have to "live within your means" unless you want a visit from ERNIE! ATVB JB7

Agree0 Disagree0

It is classed as a moan because you don't post anything yourself mate. You just have a go at people who posted. Look at your own posts they always replies and never constructive. I have said it before I say it again YOU have nothing good to say about our club, I have never seen you post anything remotely positive about Celtic, don't you find that strange. Until such times I have you down as a sevco sympathiser.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rayman, i'm of the opinion you are a wind up merchant.

Posted a lot on this-both positive and negative.

You still have not distinguished difference in jist between my response and your threads you started about duds-(apart from zaluska if i'm correct, lennons signings?).

Is there anyone else out there who would rather a decent run to the europa league finals rather than a scudding in the champ group stages?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

No chance Pauly mate call me materialistic but of the two are one is a windfall and the other is "waashers"

Agree0 Disagree0

I love the champions league nights in paradise but would I swap any of it for Seville? Not a chance. Even in defeat that was one hell of a run.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will remind you of that jamiebhoy when we get the "Seville" stampede for final tix!
You'll no want one of course

Agree0 Disagree0

If we do make the Europe League I think we will struggle to go far .

Hello Ed, Much has been said over the last month or so about the developing/development squad mate .

We have seen Fisher, Henderson & McGregor get/catch a break I was always under the impression that the "star" of the group was Jackson Irvine who when went on loan to Killie last season Allan Johnston quickly said he was some/great player

I have seen the lad Johnstone leave (who a wasn't really aware of) Seen the name Calvin Miller dubbed the best player of his age (don't know if that is fair/apt or even right to "saddle" someone with that mantle)

But I just wondered if you or anyone else knows who is the one/ones we SHOULD be expecting to "make the grade/breakthrough" atvb jb7

Ed is the game on tv tomorrow night?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - It's only on CelticTV.}

Alright Ed, hearing people down here saying NUFC can but Forster for as little as £2m. I was insistent that it couldn't be true but I've heard three different people now be quite adamant that it is. Do you or anybody else know if that may be the case?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed007's Note - It's the first I've heard of it, Jim, I can't see us selling him for the same as we paid for him (not including the 2 loan fees we also paid). If you remember back there was a late hitch in Forster's signing, that was his agent trying to insert a £4 million release clause in his contract and Lawwell was having none of it so he's not likely to have agreed to selling him to anyone for £2m, Newcastle are due 25% of any profit we make from selling Forster on.}

Ta mate. Was getting a wee bit worried but knew it shouldn't be the case. I still expect him to end up at Newcastle IF somebody goes in for Krul .

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I always thought that was a strong possibility as well but now Newcastle have signed 23 year old Karl Darlow from Notts Forest I'm not so sure, although Darlow will stay at Forest on loan next season. I'll be surprised if Krull is still at Newcastle next season but if they sell him they're only left with Rob Elliot in goal.}

Hi I am not in any way defending the board, their way of running the club is turning us into a laughing stock and they are risking driving fans away. But where I disagree with some supporters is in saying the season is over if we go out of the champions league. I know all about the prestige and glamour, but I can't see how our season is over when we have zero chance of winning it. Our main goal this season should be trying to win the treble, we haven't done this for years.
I am doing a 600 mile round trip tomorrow hoping we can turn it round against leiga warsaw, although I doubt we will, but if we don't, everything we could win this season is still there for us to win.

Agree0 Disagree0

Southampton now appear to be looking @ Jack Butland be great to get another season out of FF but think we will be lucky to do so

Agree0 Disagree0

Forster was always going to be at Celtic until our European fate is known .
Whether other interested clubs are prepared to wait or not might not be clear .

with all the doom and gloom about with Celtic's poor results (my mood included) this appealed to my daft sense of humour.
How fitting was it that the very first game the new female coach of Claremont played was at BREST lol

If the worse happens and we go out tonight, do we drop into the Europa league qualifying or is that us out completely?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

We drop into the final qualifying round for europa. If we get past legia and get put out the cl playoff then we will drop straight into the europa groupstage
