Cefti looks a great find. Big, strong, technically good. Can't see him hanging out at DU for long. Would like to think Celtic are keeping tabs. He's the right height if nothing else! Ant88

Are you referring to Nadir Ciftci, the player looking at a 16 match ban for grabbing a linesman by the throat?

Hi Ed do u think we will go back in for finbogson I'm willing to give the new bhoys a chance but I still think we Badly need a goal scorer {Ed007's Note - No.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

See nl said in paper he surprised no one signed vvd before us, mb we can pull another 1 out the bag ie finnbogason or johannsson from the dutch league

With the departure of a certain "PR Guru" down Govan way I came across this snippet from a blogger (www.tsfm.org.uk/2013/05/the-existence-of-laws) about our Scottish media. I think it sums them all (well most of them) perfectly.
Talking about the SFA and other powers that be, the blogger wrote these words.
"They were aided and abetted by a thoroughly disreputable media, a collection of cowards and compromisers, charlatans and frauds masquerading as journalists, but who long ago laid aside any claim to be bold investigators and settled for commenting on events as they unfolded.
More often than not, with their ill informed opinions, sometimes due to weakness in intellect and others wilfully ignorant, they failed even in that.
Entire newspapers became PR machines for crooks and swindlers. They aided in the scam because they did not do their jobs, some because they were lazy, some because they were incompetent and others because they wanted a seat at the table and were willing to sacrifice whatever modicum of integrity they once had in exchange for one."
The "journalist" sacked down Govan was one such person, who licked whatever @rses needed to secure a lucrative job, sadly, for him, as has been proved time immorial, there is no honour between thieves, and he obviously did not lick the right @rse or missed one or two.
Only the last paragraph is mine, but I wished I had written all the words. Timalloy {Ed007's Note - I put the link in Tim. James writes some very good pieces.}

Cheers ED007 I was going to mention the SFM but did not know if it was allowed on here.
Also how James finds time to write such well written blogs AND play for Celtic is beyond me lol Timalloy {Ed007's Note - It's a good blog that Tim as is James' www.onfieldsofgreen.com}

Hi ed long time reader just would like to put out there that Gary hooper may now be regretting his move to Norwich he wanted to leave to try get into the England set up I just dnt think it will happen {Ed007's Note - That bewtween Hooper and his conscience. It has nothing to do with us as a club, or fans, any more. He made his decision, that's that. The CFC chapter of his life is now closed and fans need to move on and look to the future, not the past.}

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Ed So you would not bring him back, even if we got him for half the price we sold him for, 20 goals a season man.
Tambhoy {Ed007's Note - No Tam I wouldn't have him back, he made his choice and do you honestly think he would take the drop in wages, not a chance in hell. I would rather go out and sign a quality replacement that actually wants to play for the club for the foreseeable future. What if Hooper came back, scored a barrowload again and then fancied his chances in the EPL again? We, as a club, are better than that and the fans deserve to be treated better than that. If the board had spent money in the summer we wouldn't even be having this conversation mate.}

Here here ed!

Well said ed, plus never mind him needing to take a drop in wages, he would need to take a drop in eating! He has got even fatter since he has left celtic. Must be all that sitting on the bench he is doing.

Spot on ed! do you think finnbogasson was the answer? {Ed007's Note - He probably could have been Barry. The fact is we do not have a prolific goal-scorer, for us playing in the SPFL it is embarrassing, and the blame for that can be laid solely at the board's door. The scouting network and management all done their job well in identifying players, it was the board that chose to go with third level, at best, choices. Sometimes you just need to pay the going price for a proven player rather than take a gamble on a player who will improve. We needed the player for the here and now and without it the team has gone backwards.
Who do we confidently look at and say 'They will get us a goal against Ajax', there is nobody. It could be Commons, a Mulgrew set-piece or a van Dijk header before we even look at any of our strikers scoring in open play.}

Ajax, who host Celtic in the Champions League on Wednesday, are on a run of one win in five games after losing to Vitesse last night.
And former Motherwell striker Michael Higdon, now at Dutch club Nijmegen, reckons Celtic will be too strong for Ajax.

Unknown OP let us Celtic fans worry about how we play. I hate all this "Ajax are in poor form stuff"
I guarantee they will be up for CL game and Celtic are in for a hard game Wednesday.
We did not set the heather on fire yesterday either.
I would be happy with a point on Wednesday. Timalloy

Agree0 Disagree0

Lennon needs to remember the two golden rules, which he did in our last CL game and won, but got wrong and lost in the previous two games (and qualifiers):

1. No double substitutions.
2. No changing the existing player positions on substitutions.

Everything in the OP is truthful and factual, why Timalloy has a difficulty is baffling. Maybe hung over? I'm a Celtic supporter and the OP.

Agree0 Disagree0

Spot on Timalloy, we are constantly being told that teams are struggling or missing players but everyone lifts their game when it comes to the champions league. Let's just take it as it comes and hope we can do it. Leave Michael Higdon and others to their own thoughts.

Is the point of substitutions not to change a game, point 2 above is basically saying that if the manager feels the need to change it, then don't. How else do you change a game if its getting away from you then?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry Timalloy but disagree. Go for the win on Wednesday against a side that has no confidence in itself then beat an average AC Milan side at Celtic park and we qualify. A point against Ajax on Wednesday would mean we would probably need something from the Nou Camp which is the last place any team wants to go when points are required. I think we really have to win on Wednesday but I do think we will.
