Ed have you heard how season ticket sales are going so far as I think there will be a big reduction on people renewing due to downgrading of squad and lack of competition. And do you think this will affect NL budget if he stays. Our official attendances this season must on average be 10000 less than actual bums on seats and it's hard to think they will continue to spend upward of £450 when there isn't a match you can't get in to.

{Ed007's Note - I was told at the weekend ST sales are 'meeting expectations', take from that what you will.}

ED007 I was also told something similar that season tickets were "on track to equal last year"
I think a lot of fans are holding off to see a) if Lennon goes and
b) who we sign (although deadline for renewal is end of May for current season holders, I know of some fans wanting to buy for first time but waiting to see ambition of board)

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm waiting on word regarding shifts at work, then it'll be a case of are Celtic going to make it worth my while getting my ST back?!

Agree0 Disagree0

Some might be holding back to see if Lennon is staying.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - You better believe they are - and not in the way you mean.}

Chris02 has got to be a troll, or one of Them?! His posts are comedy gold lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't understand term troll.
I am certainly not one of them, ( unless them is loyal Celtic supporter )
My loyalty to Celtic gets me into much trouble .

Kept my post from last season:-

26 May 2013 00:02:21
Wasn't going to post this as I know a lot won't agree but

I know everyone is going on about German football and to be fair they have well and truly got the financial side of it sussed, among other things however based on tonight and going into 2013/14 I'm going to say there will NOT be a German side in the CL final next year.

~ Mrs E

Reason I kept it being it was before we had to register and I took a bit of a pounding (again) from unnamed posters!

I will await my apology

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I was shocked, thought bayern munich would of beat real madrid tonight

I'm pleased bayern are out. I can't stand the way they play. Like Barca did when Guardiola was on charge of them. It does my head in all this pass pass pass pass but not enough shooting.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Guardiola has certainly taken Bayern Munich back the way in their footballing style, hopefully the monotonous tiki-taka style is facing it's long overdue extinction. I can't say I'm too surprised or even too disappointed, I always had my doubt about his overall ability to coach and manage at the very highest level away from his Barca/La Masia Messi induced comfort zone.
That wasn't just a beating Bayern took tonight, that was an absolute mauling and the German media will not take too kindly to tonight's scoreline or performance, ex-Bayern Stefan Effenberg has already raised concerns over Guardiola turning Munich into 'Barcelona 2012' and German paper Die Welt had the headline 'Only the Champions League counts'.
Guardiola could quickly find things become very uncomfortable if they lose the DFB Cup final to Borussia Dortmund next month, if he thinks managing Barca was pressure he is in for a very rude awakening at FC Hollywood. Barca fans were always grateful for any success, Bayern Munich fans demand and expect it.}

I don't keep all my posts that get a pounding but I was a bit annoyed about this one. Thought last years final was alright but not great, the season before - which also included Bayern was worse.

They struggled against David Moyes's Manchester Utd and have killed the competition in Germany - never a good idea in my opinion.

5-0 though DN, no dressing up that thrashing. I was a bit surprised by this though, expected Bayern to score.

There would be something quite delightful about seeing Mourinho get to the final only to be taken apart by his old team in his own Country - is that bad?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Would you bet against a Mourinho team in a one off game though, that's the nightmare scenario for me!}

@mrs e actually a good idea, think I should do the same lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Aw Mourinho is the master party pooper, no doubt about it!

I was fuming with Liverpool at the weekend, I know I had a wee bit of a say about the Celtic game and 'the banner' but if the truth be known - I was too annoyed to care. Chelsea's tactics have won them the Champions League why does it come as a surprise to fans they play this way?

If Atletico can't break them down tomorrow and Chelsea score on the counter then Mourinho deserves his final. Chelsea are not pretty but they are not going to just let other teams win.

I will be betting on Real Madrid in the final 😊

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I seen the Liverpool result coming a mile off, Rodgers should have known better than fall for the mind games. How did he expect Chelsea to line up?}

I'm still gutted about the Liverpool score! If feels that was when Celtic were beaten 3-2 by ICT a couple of seasons ago and Walter Smith pipped Neil Lennon to the League title.

Rodgers has worked with Mourinho and I did think, maybe we can get a result here. Now need to win last 2 games either by a significant amount of goals or hope Man City drop points.

I'm still impressed with Rodgers though.

DN, will we take the chance on a Chelsea win tonight?

Agree0 Disagree0

Real Madrid's performance in both legs were very impressive . Well manned defence with quick counters .
Final could go either way a derby game can surprise .

Why are we thinking about going for cifti when Stevie may is who the majority of us want. They literally could not give a f&#k what we think. I want Snodgrass as well bit I bet we end up with some foreign nobody as usual.

Who said we are after cifti I don't buy the papers or anything because they talk pash

Agree0 Disagree0

News now mate, I check it like 10 times a day lol

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we are just as likely to sign a player that we haven't been linked with.

I don't think any club are too concerned about who the fans are on opting for .

Good Morning ED007 here is suggestion for your next poll.
Should Lennon be working as a pundit at World Cup instead of preparing Celtic for CL qualifiers which start early July?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - cheers Tim, is that a poll of the day idea or normal poll? Only it is me that does the polls of the day on all the sites, though the editor of the site in question will often pass on ideas for me to use. Though I am not sure Ed007 ever has any idea.....s.}

What is he playing at. I like Lennon but he is seriously starting to annoy me. We better sign someone decent this window. Snodgrass would suit me fine tbh. If we are losing Sammy who lenny claims is a 5 to 6 million pound player then we should actually try to replace him with someone decent this time.

Agree0 Disagree0

I would prefer Lennon to go after the final game of the SPFL - with thanks.
There are a lot of things/issues that have been building up over the past year with unsettled players, inept tactics and mystifying transfer deals plus the dismal Cup runs and shocking CL campaign and we need a change.

ED001 if you want to make it a Poll of the Day I am quite happy thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - thank you Tim, I will do that.}

After poor CL and domestic cup performances, it should be any managers priority to address these issues. Being a pundit should be last thing on lennons mind if he is to still be manager next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully if Neil Lennon is a pundit it
doesnt interfere with his chances of picking up a good player or two at the World Cup. Like every other employee of the club Lennon should be entitled to a holiday and if he decides to take his holidays at the World Cup he should be allowed.
